I love the start of a new month! It always feels like a great time to push the reset button (if you need to).

I usually don’t set monthly goals but I think that now is a good time to start. I don’t have any races in August (hooray!) so I’m going to use this as a reset month. I’m hoping setting smaller goals will help keep me on track for the rest of the year 🙂
August Goals!
- Get in 10,000 steps daily. On my non-running days, its really hard for me to hit this goal. I have an office job and sit all day, but even if I have to go for an hour walk during lunch or after work, I will get these steps in!
- Set an established workout routine. My gym has changed around a few classes (specifically my Friday Yoga class) and I stopped teaching spinning a few weeks ago, so my schedule is totally out of whack. I’ve got to get back on track with this because I’m very Type A personality and I need a routine. I don’t operate well in chaos!
- Run 100 miles this month.
Source Yeah…so I’m behind on my monthly miles target of 1,007.5 miles (I’m currently only at 451) so I pretty much need to average 111 miles per month (!) So I’m setting the 100 mile goal so that when I surpass it I will feel extra special, LoL!
- Launch Black Girls Run! Stamford.

I’ll do a re-cap of my August goals in September to see if I was able to accomplish everything!
In other news, I recently found out that I am now a Fitfluential Ambassador!
I cannot tell you how thrilled I am about this new opportunity! Every since I started this whole blogging/social media thing, I always hoped that I would become a Fitfluenital Ambassador and join the awesome network of amazing fitness focused people!
That’s it for me! How did you do in July? Do you have any goals for August?

Girl, I am with you on needing to up my steppage on non-running days. I'm going to start wearing my tracker more religiously and I will join you in trying to accomplish that goal!
Also, congrats on becoming a FFA- that is awesome!!

I try to get up every hour to walk around my floor but that doesn't help much lol. I think I'll be fitting in some lunch hour walks this month!
