Happy Monday! I actually planned on doing a different #MusicMonday post this week but due to the sudden passing of Scott Weiland, I thought I’d dedicate this week’s post to the Stone Temple Pilots.
I’m a 90’s music fanatic and the Stone Temple Pilots were one of my absolute favorite bands. It’s always sad when music artists die way too soon. Scott will definitely be missed.

I think that Interstate Love Song is probably one of their most popular, if not the most popular son the band ever released. I actually have this song on my current running playlist and for me it works really well for any type of hill work.
I actually just stumbled upon Vasoline while going through all my songs on iTunes. This will be added to my new playlist I plan on making this weekend (I like to make new playlists every month). I see this being a great mid-long run song to give me an energy boost.
Talk about a powerhouse song. I started adding Sex Type Thing to my playlists a few months ago and it’s always a song I look forward to hearing, especially if I’m struggling a little bit during a run or hard workout.
Trippin’ On A Hole in A Paper Heart is my all time favorite STP song. In my opinion, it’s one of their best songs.
Plush is a bonus song. Not really something to add to your workout playlist, but Scott’s voice is amazing in this song.
R.I.P. Scott Weiland and thank you for the mark you left on music.
Do you have a favorite STP song?

I've had all of these songs on my running playlist at one time or another. Interstate Love Song is a perpetual favorite of mine. When it comes on, I just settle into a nice easy pace.
Too bad he struggled so much with those inner demons. Seems like the good artists usually do…

So true. So many good artists have personal struggles. I hope he is at peace now.

So sad about Scott Weiland 🙁 I am a HUGE 90s music fan too – we have very similar tastes in music! Loving this series on the blog!

I'm totally a 90's music fanatic. To me its probably the best decade of music.

I also really like Big Empty.

Another great song. I may have to do a part II for all the awesome STP songs I left off the list.
