Happy Friday! It’s a new month and it’s time to set new goals! No matter how crazy everything gets, I always like to set monthly goals because I find that they help to keep me focused.
First, let’s take a look at my goals from March:
PR the Orangetheory DriTri
Grade: A
I had a 1:30 PR for the Full DriTri and an automatic PR for the Sprint DriTri since it was my first time doing it. I think I could have pushed harder, especially during the rowing portion, so I’m going to keep that in mind for the September DriTri.
March Core with Jess
Grade: A
I completed all of the core classes by Jess Sims available in the Peloton app. I won’t sugarcoat it – some days were rough, especially some of the 20 minute classes and all of the 30 minute classes. I think my sweet spot for core classes is definitely between 10-15 minutes, so I’ll select classes in that timeframe moving forward.
Reduce social media time at night
Grade: B
While I definitely reduced nighttime scrolling, I feel like I can still do a better job.
Here are my goals for April!
Earn Gold status in April Peloton Challenges
This month Peloton has quite a few challenges for April:
Spring Launch Challenge – Take one class every day in April
April Cycling Challenge – Cycle 150+ miles in April
April Running Challenge – Run 40+ miles in April
April Strength Challenge – Take 15+ strength classes in April
April Activity Challenge – Take a classes 20+ days in April
As long as I hit those numbers I’ll get gold for each challenge. It’s going to be a busy month!
Dedicate a minimum of 10 minutes per day to yoga or meditation
I’ve been feeling a lot more anxious over the past 2-3 weeks. I know there are legitimate reasons for this, but I want to find ways to manage this feeling. I usually feel the most calm when I’m doing a yoga or meditation class so I want to make sure to incorporate that daily.
That’s it for this month – wish me luck!
If you set monthly goals, what are your goals for April?
I’m linking up with Darlene, Michelle, Renee, Jenn and Zenaida for Fit Five Friday!

Nice on those core classes with Jess! I agree with you that 10-15 minutes is what I will pick too. Now I need to check out those April challenges and check how I did in March.
Michelle D. says
Congrats on a strong March! I agree that those 20 min core classes are tough – 10 or 15 minutes is much more doable.
I like your idea of “going for the gold” in April 🙂 I hope the yoga and meditation help you to feel more relaxed.
Darlene S Cardillo says
Strong month with Peleton and OTF.
I know I need to be more relaxed..just not a meditation/yoga type.
Instead I want to get outside and walk/hike even when the temps are not perfect. It’s a struggle to get out the door.
Kimberly Hatting says
I’m not sure I’ve ever done a core/ab workout for longer than 15 minutes…my attention span (and pain tolerance LOL) won’t allow it. Great job, though, doing the entire month! YOU definitely will have a busy and active April, so many challenges to keep you out of trouble 😉 Best of luck!!!
Laurie says
Oh, man…20 minute core classes??? You ARE tough. congrats on the PR in the Dri-tri! You are doing so well with your fitness goals! Well done!!!
Coco says
I’m intimidated by the longer core classes, but the few I’ve tried haven’t been that bad. I should try a core bootcamp …
Great goals for April – I hope your stress level goes down.
Wendy says
I know all about that anxious feeling. Hang in there and PM me if you need to talk.
Jenny says
Okay, good luck with your goals! They sound great. Yes, those Peloton challenges will keep you busy, but it sounds fun. And the ten minute meditation/yoga goal is a great one. I should do that too- funny how hard it seems to carve out ten measly minutes!
Renée @runlaugheatpie says
well done on March!! April “getting gold” goal looks hefty but if anyone can do it, it’s you Kim!!
Liz Dexter says
I need to do more Peleton stuff and some actual cardio classes, but I am loving the stretches. And apparently I’m doing a half-marathon some time over the next couple of weekends … my friend Trude’s idea!
Deborah Brooks says
Those are some big goals for the month! If anyone can do it you can. I am finding it harder to hit higher cycle miles bc I am running more. I am a big fan of the yoga classes I do a 10 min class a few times a week.

Social media is the worst at night! I think im just going to look up one thing, and a half hr later I’m watching YouTube vidoes.
