It’s Black Friday. I’m sure some people are at Target right now fighting over a $5.00 toaster, but I hope that a majority of you are at home, online shopping from the comfort of your home 🙂
I’ve seen tons of great “Gifts for Runners” lists from a lot of the bloggers I follow. Rather than repeat what is already out there on the interwebs, I thought I would focus my list on gifts that can be used for stocking stuffers. I always have a hard time figuring out stocking stuffer gifts so I hope my list can help anyone else that struggles with this!
Accessories – A pretty broad category, but this could include running charms for bracelets, running necklaces or earrings or a decal sticker for their car. Need something for the night runner? Try these Nathan strobe lights. Oh, and basically anything from Momentum Jewelry would be perfect.
Body Glide – No explanation need. Chafing ain’t cute!
Dr. Cool – The small recovery ice compression wrap is the perfect size for a stocking.
Gift Card – This is SUCH an obvious gift, but I think people forgot how versatile gift cards can be, especially if you’re unsure of a runner’s size in shoes or clothing.
Hats/Fleece Headband/Gloves – For those of us on the East Coast or Mid-West (Chicago already got snow!), nothing beats a great warm running hat/headband or gloves. Nike and Under Armour have awesome Coldgear items.
Headlamp – The days are getting shorter and the nights are getting longer. I recently just purchased a headlamp and it makes a difference when running.
Headphones – For the runner that loves running with music 🙂 There are so many varieties available.
Lifting Gloves – For the runner that also does Crossfit, weightlifting or strength training.
Lock Laces – For the early morning runner that needs to slip on his/her sneakers and hit the pavement, fast!
Mophie – There’s nothing worse than when your cell phone dies while you’re out on a run or participating in a race. The Mophie Power Reserve external charger is small enough to carry in a running belt, or to include in your checked bag at a race. This way you can always make sure you have a back-up charging option for your phone.
Pace Bands – Do you have a runner aiming for a goal race in 2016. Then this is a great sticking stuffer!
PRO Compression – Obviously PRO Compression made the list! Any of their socks or calf sleeves (also arm sleeves) would make an awesome stocking stuffer gift. There are also a few discount codes floating around that you can take advantage of, as well as free shipping on most orders over $25. They are running a great grab bag deal right now on their calf sleeves – you get 3 randomly selected calf sleeves for $33 with code THBAG.
RaceDots – For the person that runs a lot of races. Constantly using safety pins to attach your bibs can put holes in your favorite shirts, but using RaceDots can solve that problem.
Race Entry – ANY runner would appreciate this! You can pay for the race entry, print out the confirmation page and fold it up, and then place it in the stocking. If you really want to get fancy, you can put it in an envelope with a bow!
Road ID Bracelet – Not only a great stocking stuffer gift, but also a very important one. These bracelets can ultimately save your life if, God forbid, you have a medical emergency during a run.
Running Fuel – These items are small enough to fit in a stocking – gels, chews, jelly beans, etc. I’m partial to Honey Stinger, but any running fuel will do. You can also fit a few tubs of Nuun in a stocking as well 🙂 FYI – Honey Stinger is having an awesome 50% off sale right now!
Showerpill – For the runner that is always on the go.
SpiBelt – Their running belts are great. My mom and I both have one.
If you’re looking of overall gifts for runners, check out Gone For a Run. They have some pretty unique gifts on their website.
I hope that this list was helpful. Sometimes it’s hard to think of gifts for the runner that seems to have everything!
Did you start your holiday shopping today? (Online I hope!) Do you have any great stocking stuffer running gift ideas?

I love love PRO COMPRESSION, and the race dot idea is great – i don't run a lot of races, but hate ruining my shirt regardless!

PRO is actually running a great sale on their calf sleeves right now (grab bag) if you like those as well!

I would love all of these gifts in my stocking! I'll make sure to point my dad to this list haha- he's always wondering what to get me! I actually shopped a little today- there were some good deals at my local running store.

Great ideas! I think most of the running stuff I want can actually belong in the stocking stuffer category after reading this list. I'm especially hoping for race entries!
