Another work week is coming to an end – Happy Friday! Do you ever wish there were more hours in the day? I know I do! I always see new fitness trends that I would love to try, but I either don’t have enough time, or money, to try them out. Here are a few fitness trends I am thinking of trying in the future.
Taking a Barre class has been on my to-do list for about a year. It’s a low impact, full body workout that targets your hips, abs, arms, thighs and butt. I am really need all the help I can get with my core and hips. It can only help to make me a stronger runner! I think I’ve been scared to take this class because I know I will be sore as hell. It’s also a little expensive but I really should at least try one or two classes.
Body Pump looks like a class that is super fun, but will also kick your butt! The class using light to moderate weights for an effective fat burning and strength training workout. I’ve really been all about the strength training lately so I know this class would be perfect for me. I would love to try this class if I could find one that fit well in my schedule!
I have literally wanted to try this class for about 2 years! I have heard nothing but good things from runners that have taken their classes. I love that the classes are high intensity and only an hour long. There are tons of workouts to choose from – rowing, treadmill, free weights, TRX, etc. I feel like I would never get bored with their workouts. If I hit the lotto, I would love to join the OTF located in my county.
This class looked like an absolute BLAST! Not only does it look like an awesome cardio workout, but I feel like you would also get out a lot of aggression pounding on the drums! I just found out that there is a gym near me that offers this class, so I’m very intrigued and want to try it!
I’ve always wanted to try trail running, but I’m SO afraid of tripping and busting my butt on the trail (L0L). I feel like I have a hard enough time running on the regular pavement,, so I don’t know if I trust myself on a trail. For those of you that run on trails, do you have any tips?!
