Happy Frieday! I’m bringing you an awesome giveaway today from Dr Cool for #FrugalFridays!
Have you heard of Dr Cool? It’s a company that sells some pretty unique items such as compression wraps and cooling towels, caps, headbands, wristbands, arm sleeves and shirts.
Earlier this summer I started having some recurring knee pain. Nothing major, just more of an annoyance. I reached out to the nice folks at Dr Cool and they agreed to send me a medium size compression wrap to try.
The great thing abour Dr Cool wraps are that they combine compression and cold therapy. No longer do you have to use a bandage to help secure an ice pack or bag of ice to your injury! The medium size wrap measures 4″ x 50″ can be used for your knee, ankle or elbow.
So how does it work?
There are three very important factors:
- Moisture Wicking to move sweat away from your body
- Moisture Transportation to avoid saturation and accelerate drying
- Regulated evaporation for a consistent cooling effect
It’s recommended to pre-wash the wrap before your first use. Then wet the underside of the wrap, re-roll the wrap and place in the freezer for at least 20 minutes (I usually keep it in a little longer). When you’re ready to use, un-roll it and wrap your injury. There is also velcro at the end of the wrap to help keep it in place.
How did it work?
I used the wrap numerous times throughout the past few months. The great thing about this wrap was that I could walk around and complete tasks while still helping my injury. I didn’t feel like I had to be stuck in a position while trying to heal my injury. Also it stays cold for a great amount of time and I noticed that my knee always felt less sore after using the wrap.
Sorry for the poor lighting! |
Are you ready to win your own Dr Cool wrap? Of course you are! Enter the giveaway below!

As always, I’m linking up with Smitha and Erica for their #WednesdayGiveawayRoundUp (I know, I know, I’m a few days late lol). Check out their blogs for additional giveaways to enter (and win)!
Shameless plug – In unrelated news, I’ve entered this contest from Bibs2Bags. They asked us to upload a photo of our favorite bib and explain why. I chose my bib from my very first half marathon because 1. It was my first half marathon! and 2. It’s a cool bib with an image of an NYC bridge in the background. I’d appreciate any votes! (You can vote once per day)

I would love to use this for my left ankle which is often in pain after running. I currently ice it almost daily but always have to sit still and balance the ice pack whereas with this, it would be so much easier.

Sorry to hear about your ankle. The dr cool wrap would definitely help with that, but you made need the small instead of the medium size for your ankle. Good Luck!

I love that it doesn't hinder your ability to walk around and get other stuff done with it on. Way better than trying to hold up/balance a bag of ice!
