Happy Friday! It’s a brand new year and new month and it’s time to set new goals! No matter how crazy everything gets, I always like to set monthly goals because I find that they help to keep me focused.
Here are my goals for January!
Complete all Peloton Holiday and Stocking Stuffer Classes
I love collecting Peloton badges and that hasn’t changed! This month I will focus on completing all of the holiday and stacking stuffer classes. This should be attainable since I most likely won’t have any OTF classes this month.
Update my resume
I haven’t really said this out loud to anyone yet, but I am going to spend some time this month updating my resume so that I can start looking for new employment. It’s not that I hate my job, but I’ve been there over 10 years and things have changed a lot (oftentimes extremely stressful). I just don’t feel passionate about it anymore, so my gut is telling me that it’s time for a change.
Get back to Sunday meal prepping
I sort of fell out of my meal prep routine right around Thanksgiving so it’s definitely time to get back on track.
That’s it for this month – wish me luck!
If you set monthly goals, what are your goals for January?
Also, I ultimately decided to pick a few yearly goals too. For 2022 instead of focusing on running miles or races, I am going to focus on Peloton milestones and a PR for the Orangetheory Dri Tri.
I’m linking up with Darlene, Michelle, Renee, Jenn and Zenaida for Fit Five Friday!

Change seems to be in the air for a lot of people! Good luck Kim. Life is definitely too short to stay at a job you’re no longer happy with (been there, done that — more than once).
Since you love Peloton so much, looking for your goals there makes a lot of sense.

I agree about change being in the air for 2022! I’ve heard from a lot of people that want to make a change in the careers, eating habits, exercise, etc.
Coco says
Wow, those are some ambitious Peloton goals!
Good luck with the resume and job change. From what I’ve seen, employers are scrambling to hire good people.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Coco! I’ll see if I can hit those Peloton goals, or at least come close to hitting them lol.
Michelle says
Awesome lineup of Peloton and OTF goals! I have no doubt you’ll hit them.
You know I can appreciate the desire for new employment 🙂 Best of luck with your job search!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Michelle! I’m hopeful that there’s a good opportunity out there for me.

YOWZA!! You’re going to be busy 😉 I’m still pretty new with all the Peloton stuff, but those goals really sound good, and will definitely give you some badass focus. That’s exciting about your job search and possible change. I wish you the best of good luck and good fortune as you make it happen 😉
kookyrunner says
Yup – Peloton will definitely keep me busy but I like the challenge! Thanks for the well wishes on the job search 🙂
Deborah Brooks says
Ooh ambitious Peloton goals! If anyone can do them it’s you! Change can be good! I am excited for you and what opportunities will arise for this year.
kookyrunner says
Thanks! I know the Peloton goals will keep my very busy this year.

I actually have a secret little thing happening at the end of the month and I will share it after it happens. Totally non-fitness-related. It’s been a personal goal of mine for a while now. Stay tuned…
kookyrunner says
Ohh I can’t wait to find out!
Jenny says
Those are some exciting January goals! Good luck with the resume.
i was finally on a really good cooking schedule, that worked for everyone in the family- and then my son came home from college and it all went out the window. I forgot how much he eats! I love having him here, but he goes back to school in a week and at that point I’m going to really start my January resolutions.
Those are some ambitious Peloton goals- but if anyone can do it, you can.
kookyrunner says
I have a friend that has a son in college and she told me the exact same thing not too long ago, lol. It seems like college aged boys can eat their weight in food.
Marcia says
I’m excited for you Kim! Seems to be a great time for job change so why not? Your Pelo goals are fun! The Caveman is gone all of next week so it’s the perfect time to get back to some better food choices here.
kookyrunner says
Definitely seems like the right time to branch out and look for something new!
Zenaida Arroyo says
I love your Peloton goals! I want to be like you. 🙂 Good luck on the resumer and the job hunt. I sure a better opportunity is out there for you.
kookyrunner says
Thanks! It’s a little scary looking for a new job after 10 years – I feel like everything has changed. I need to make sure my resume is up to standards too.
Black Knight says
Good luck with the resume and job change.
In more than 40 years I changed job only one time.
Great January goals!!!
At the moment, being all the races cancelled for covid, my only goal is to keep on running every other day for not less than 10 km.
kookyrunner says
That’s a great goal! Hopefully races will open up again after the newest wave of Covid gets under control. This new variant is just so contagious!
Jenn says
Blech to meal prepping.
However, I’m doing meal PLANNING more. We have been ordering groceries through Kroeger, which means Mr PugRunner asks me right after my long run what we need for the week. Obviously, I need to cut him off at the pass, so on Friday, I’m trying to sit down to make a menu and get ingredients for the week.
kookyrunner says
That’s such a great approach and definitely cuts down on buying items that you may not need.
Cari says
I look forward to chasing Peloton goals with you. Gold for all challenges sounds like one I should steal… borrow. I can’t believe how quickly I hit it in strength this month, although that’s NY Resolution type energy
Good luck with the resume updating. 10 years is a long time.
kookyrunner says
Yay! I’m looking forward to us crushing Peloton goals together all through 2022. I am also always amazed that I hit gold so quickly for strength.
