I am honored to join the #IfGirlsRanTheWorld movement to empower women and girls all around the world! Through my affiliation with FitApproach as a Sweat Pink ambassador, I received a free race registration.
Do you ever wonder what would happen #IfGirlsRanTheWorld? I often think that the world would be a much more colorful, organized and nice place, dontcha think? Let’s be honest – women are the queens of multitasking and getting things done!
So what exactly is #IfGirlsRanTheWorld?
“This October, thousands of women will join in a one of a kind adventure to collectively and virtually run around the world to benefit charities that empower girls globally.”
You can join this movement by registering for the event (read below for your chance to win an entry) and selecting a fundraising goal for the charity of your choice. Then all you have to do is run during the month from October and rack up the miles! You can run daily to win cool prizes and don’t forget to share your runs on social media! This virtual run will give us all the chance to make a difference!
Empowerment for women and girls is very important to me because I feel that everyone should have the opportunity to reach their full potential. I was lucky enough to grow up with parents that pushed me to be my best and impressed upon me the importance of education.
As a part of my involvement with this organization, I also have the opportunity to fundraise for a charitable organization. The organization I selected is called The Hunger Project.
“A world where every woman, man and child leads a healthy, fulfilling life of self-reliance and dignity, our mission is to end hunger and poverty by pioneering sustainable, grassroots, women-centered strategies and advocating for their widespread adoption in countries throughout the world.”
I feel that food is a basic human need that should ALWAYS be met. I fully stand behind any charity that works to ensure that people across the globe have access to food and proper nutrition.
If you want to join me this October, enter below for your chance to win a race registration. I will pick 3 winners!
As always, I’m linking up with Smitha and Erica (hi ladies!) for their Wednesday Giveaway Round Up. Check out their blogs for other giveaways!

Empowering girls and women is not only good for them, it’s one of the best ways to raise the overall health, education, and economic levels of a region. When girls do well, everyone does well.

I 100% agree with you!

Empowering girls and women is important so they can feel confident about themselves and happy! Then, maybe they can keep spreading the positive message. I’m excited about the #IfGirlsRanTheWorld effort!

As a female backpacking guide it is soSOSOSOSO important for me to feel like I’m empowering women to be strong, confident, and comfortable being self-reliant in the woods. I love when I get little girls on day hikes and they’re answering my questions and talking to me about the topics I broach as well. It’s so important to tell women, especially the tween to teens, that you don’t have to be scared of trying difficult things!

I love this and I love all that you are doing to make women feel strong and empowered!!!
