Happy Friday! It’s a new month and it’s time to set new goals! No matter how crazy everything gets, I always like to set monthly goals because I find that they help to keep me focused.
First, let’s take a look at my goals from June:
Complete the Peloton Strong Body Strong Core Program
Grade: A
I finished up this program on Wednesday, but I will say that I didn’t love it. I don’t like to repeat a class unless I really enjoy it and this program repeats a few of the classes. Also some of the core movements were a little strange/weird to do so I didn’t enjoy classes with those movements. But one positive is that my core does feel stronger, especially when running and doing planks, so that’s a huge plus!
Back to daily stretching
Grade: A
Happy to say I did some form of stretching every day in June. There’s honestly nothing better after a hard workout than a 5-10 minute stretch, especially after a bootcamp or run.
Consistently post on Instagram
Grade: C
I posted 7 times in June which was less than my goal, but I’m happy that I at least posted more than once a week. It’s a struggle for me since I’m not training for anything and I just do OTF and Peloton workouts. I don’t really have anything “exciting” to post and normally post my workouts in my IG stories.
Here are my goals for July!
Complete all Peloton All for One Music Festival Classes
Earlier this week, Peloton released their All For One Music Festival Lineup and it looks AMAZING! All of these classes will take place over July 1-3 – some live and some on demand. I am so pumped for a lot of these classes – especially Gwen Stefani, Migos, Nas, Depeche Mode, Daddy Yankee and Pearl Jam! There are 60+ classes, many with music artists I’m not familiar with, so I’m looking forward to diving into these classes this month.
Enjoy my staycation
I’m looking forward to being off from work next week. Although it will be a little busy since my dad has a few appointments that week, I want to make an effort to carve out some time to relax. I know that I’m probably going to get a pedicure one day that week, grab my favorite Starbucks drink and maybe go out for lunch too. I also need to see if there’s anything new on Netflix that I can watch.
Get back on track
I just feel like I’ve been off track with a few things since April and it’s been hard to find my footing again. I’m dedicated to using this month to get back into a routine when it comes to taking my vitamins and supplements, my pre and post workout drinks and making smarter food choices. I know this small changes will add up over time so I just need to do it. Although my workouts are on track, this stuff isn’t which is making me feel sluggish and tired and I’m sick of it.
That’s it for this month – wish me luck!
If you set monthly goals, what are your goals for July?
I’m linking up with Darlene, Michelle, Renee, Jenn and Zenaida for Fit Five Friday!

I need to get in a better routine of checking the Instagram stories….I just don’t think to do so (my bad), but I do enjoy seeing your stuff on Insta. The pick of you and your father is simply adorable 😉
kookyrunner says
I feel like IG stories are better for me since it’s so much quicker to just share a workout or a funny quote/meme. Maybe I’ll get my mojo back to post on my IG feed more consistently at some point but for now it’s rough, lol.
Wendy says
I miss seeing you in my IG feed! But I understand how busy you are. You did a good job with your workouts this month. It is hard to stay motivated when you aren’t training for anything. Enjoy your week off!!
kookyrunner says
Totally agree that it’s so hard to post stuff when not training for a race! I just really don’t know what to post about that would be interesing.
Darlene S. Cardillo says
I feel the same about IG. Everyone else is posting daily. Lately I’ve been slacking.
I do think about returning to peloton for those playlists. But maybe for the fall when my group runs end.
Have fun on your staycation. I have never taken on. Just a day off here and there.
Good luck with your goals.
My goal is easy. Stay active.
The challenge will be adjusting to going to work. Ugh.
kookyrunner says
I totally feel like an IG slacker too 🙁 I enjoy seeing everyone’s daily posts but I just don’t have anything interesting to post about lol.

Nice July goals! You always work so hard!
For myself, i’m thinking of signing up for a 5k in July. They have a run and a walk option. I will…run-walk, as this is where I currently am on my fitness journey.
kookyrunner says
Thank you! I’m excited for my goals this month. I hope that you enjoy your 5K race this month!

Wishing you all the best this month Kim! Taking some time for yourself really helps to reset the different areas of your life. And it’s usually just those small changes that help to bring back that balance and feeling of flow.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Shathiso! I’m hoping the week off will do me some good.

I totally get where you’re coming from with IG – I’ve slowed way down. I like catching your IG stories 🙂
I’m looking forward to checking out the All for One festival – great line-up of artists!
And, I’m so glad you’ve got some time off coming up – you deserve some downtime! Enjoy!!
kookyrunner says
So far I’ve enjoyed the AFO classes, but you know I’m all about anything to do with music.
Thanks! I’m looking forward to the downtime next week.

Small things really do add up! Nothing like not feeling sluggish. I get it Kim!
IG? What’s that? 😉
Have a great staycation, Kim!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Judy! I’m hoping have next week off will help me hit the reset button.
Deborah Brooks says
I will also be checking out some more of the music festival classes this weekend. I also got kind of off track w my normal schedule bc of all of my travel. I hope to get back into my normal routine in July as well. Enjoy your staycation
kookyrunner says
I hope you enjoy the AFO classes – they did a good job of offering up classes across a bunch of different genres of music and workout disciplines.

Great job with your goals for June! I hope you have a great Staycation. I need to figure out what I’m gonna do on the days I’m off from work this summer.
kookyrunner says
Thanks! Hope that you’re also able to take some time off this summer too.
Coco says
Wow, doing all the AFO classes is an ambitious goal, but I know you like doing all the artist series. I did Jess’s Gwenn Stefani class today. I need to get up the courage to do the 45 min ride. 🙂
Good feedback on the core program. I think Olivia’s has some repeats too, but not so many. I think a lot of their “programs” repeat so you can see your progress.
Enjoy your staycation!
kookyrunner says
I’m really looking forward to the AFO classes! I am going to do Jess’s Gwen Stefani class tomorrow and I’m really looking forward to it!
I did Emma’s crush your core program a little over a year ago and I liked that program better. I may repeat it eventually.
Marcia says
Oh enjoy that staycation! My goal is to greatly limit my scrolling on social media. I’ve thought about limiting the times I check email so maybe that as well. I really want to soak up the summer and of course ramp up miles for Hood to Coast.
kookyrunner says
I have tried to stop scrolling on social media after I eat dinner but I always end up looking at it for at least a few minutes before going to bed. I need to do better!
Jenn says
Great job!
I have to get better at TikTok and IG Stories. The thing is, I feel ridiculous shooting videos randomly, and in public, so I tend to just not do it. Meh.
You had a great month! Enjoy your week off!
kookyrunner says
I also would feel funny shooting videos so I never post any, but I always enjoy watching other peoples videos.
Black Knight says
Getting older I have learned the importance of the stretching daily routine. you made a very good job in June.
Enjoy your staycation and wishing you all the best in July.
My goal for this month is …. survive the heat!
Cari says
Enjoy your staycation – you’ve certainly deserved it. Pelofession: I’ve never heard of most of those, so not sure how much of the AFO I’ll do, but I hope to do a good chunk.
I am the worst with IG, but almost did my first ever story yesterday.
What’s your Starbucks drink? I’m on a major tea kick lately – the mint citrus is my latest
kookyrunner says
Thanks Cari! I would say that I haven’t heard of about 30-40% of the artists featured for the festival but I’m looking forward to listening to their songs.
I only go to Starbucks a few times a year but when I do go I either get the pumpkin spice latte, eggnog latte or green tea frapp. The blonde vanilla latte is good too!
