Welcome to another Monday! Even though this weekend flew by, I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I ate way too much and even though I worked out, I still think I need to step it up this week to burn some extra calories!
You know what helps me power through a tough workout? Music! Today’s #MusicMonday post will focus on the hollaback queen, Gwen Stefani. I LOVE Gwen (total girl crush) and I’ve seen her in concert (she was awesome by the way).
You might remember Gwen Stefani from the band No Doubt. Their music is great, but today I want to focus on Gwen’s solo work.
Let’s go back 10 years to 2005 when she released ‘Hollaback Girl’. To this day, I’m not 100% sure what a hollaback girl is, but that’s okay because the song is so freaking good.
The video for this song is so weird but I love the beat is bananas and so is Gwen’s voice. I love it!
Gwen has also collaborated with a bunch of artists, but I love her songs with Eve. Here is one of my favs.
Some songs aren’t necessarily good for running because the tempo is a little slow, but I still like these songs on my playlist. I call these honorable mentions:
