Welcome to the last #MusicMonday of 2015! I can’t believe that the year is coming to a close. This year was okay but I’m really looking forward to 2016. I just have a feeling that it’s going to be a great year!
Today’s #MusicMonday is all about No Doubt!
This is a band that have been around for over 20 years and they have constantly made great music. I’ve seen them in concert and it’s insane – there is nothing else like it. The energy that comes from all the band members is so exciting!
Just A Girl…talk about a major throwback. I can remember listening to this song on the long car ride to gymnastics tournaments back in Middle School in the 90’s. I’ve used this song for tempo runs, but I think it pretty much works for any run. It helps to put me in a zone.
Hey Baby was one of the songs that showed a different sound for No Doubt and I was loving it. Not really ska or rock like their other songs – this one has a more reggae beat. Great for a hill workout!
Excuse Me Mr. isn’t one of their more popular songs, but it’s classic No Doubt. Fast paced and quirky. I use this song during a long run when I just want to space out for a little bit.
Hella Good is one of my favorite No Doubt songs. I used this song a lot for hills when I taught spinning because its easy to build momentum as the song goes on. The same can be said for using the song for running. Sometimes I’ll sprint during the hook of the song to get extra bursts of speed during a run.
I love No Doubt and I wish they would make another album soon. What is your favorite No Doubt song?
