Happy Wednesday! First of all, THANK YOU to everyone that left comments on Sunday’s post. I’m feeling much better about everything now and keeping that bad week of training in the past. Nothing but good things and positive workouts ahead!
So today I want to discuss ClassPass. ClassPass is a fitness membership that allows you to take classes at different studios in your neighborhood. It’s an awesome way to try out new classes/studios to see what you like and don’t like. After enjoying ClassPass for a month, I would highly recommend it!
Classes Offered
There are tons of classes offered on ClassPass so you’re almost guarenteed to find a class (or classes) that meet your preferences. Like cardio classes? Try a boxing, dance, rowing or cycling class. Is flexibility more your thing? Sign up for a Barre, Yoga or Pilates class. You can also select strength training classes as well. There really is something for eveyone!
Save Money
Overall ClassPass offers 3 different plans – Go, Base and Core.
I selected the Base Plan which allowed me to take 5 classes during the month. The only catch was that I could not take more than 2 classes at the same studio. That was totally fine as I had numerous places to choose from 🙂 This plan usually costs $55 per month but I enjoyed the first month for $25 (after using a $30 discount via my friend). In total, I took classes at 3 different studios. If I had paid per class at these studios, it would have cost me $120. I would say that I got a good deal!
Trying New Things
I’m all for trying new classes, but my gym hasn’t put any new classes on the schedule in a long time. ClassPass allowed me to try two new classes to me – Barre and Pilates.
I ended up really liking these classes. Sure, they are pretty hard but what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, right? I would never have had the chance to experience these classes at my gym, so I’m thankful for ClassPass for bringing these classes to my attention.
Make New Friends
Because you’re going to different studios, you have the opportunity to meet new people and instructors. It’s quite possible that you might even make new friends. We could always use new workout buddies, right?!
Want to give it a try? Join ClassPass and you’ll get $30 off your first month on a Base or Core plan! ClassPass is the perfect way to keep your workout routine flexible and try everything from yoga and barre to cycling and Pilates! Click here for the discount!

I did ClassPass a few years ago when it first came to Baltimore. It was great to be able to try new classes, although most studios were not very convenient for me to get to. I think in more accessible areas or for someone who takes classes all the time its a great option!

i love running but I do enjoy my group classes so this is a perfect option for me. Hopefully they will branch out into smaller cities and offer more options!
Deborah @ Confessions of a mother runner says
That is a great deal as most classes in the studios are more than $20 each. Glad to hear that you are having fun trying new classes. It’s great to mix things up sometimes
kookyrunner says
Can you believe the cost of studios classes?! It’s so expensive.
Wendy@Taking the Long Way Home says
I think this is a great idea for people who live in cities where there are lots of facilities!
kookyrunner says
Definitely! There are tons of options in NYC but I’m able to find some some great classes in Stamford

I’m envious! We don’t have much in my little town that works with my schedule. I like small town living for the safety and security, but do miss the big city perks.
kookyrunner says
Totally understand what you mean. I live in decent sized city – not as big as NYC, but not a small town, so I luckily get the best of both worlds!
Annmarie says
I wish class pass was available where I live – I love trying new workouts and making new fitness friends is always fun too! 🙂
kookyrunner says
I can’t believe that they are not in Syracuse yet, that’s a bummer 🙁
Abby @BackatSquareZero says
Class Pass has not come here yet, but I would be interested to try it. My problem is I usually find studios I love that I feel most comfortable at and then I want to go to those every week so I don’t know that I would get the most out of Class Pass long term.
kookyrunner says
I can’t believe that it’s not in Charleston yet – that’s such a great city! I’m not sure if I’m use ClassPass long term but for now it’s affordable with discounts!
Sandra Laflamme says
I love the idea of a Class Pass. Sadly I live in a rural area where that does not exist. It looks like great fun to be able to try out so many new and different things!
kookyrunner says
It’s definitely a fun way to take new classes – I really like it!
Jen @ SprinklesHikes.com says
Whenever I see things like this I really wish I lived in a bigger town! We don’t even have a single yoga studio where I live, let alone places that would offer something like this… many one day 🙂
kookyrunner says
I hope that your town gets a few fitness studios soon!
Elle says
Kind of a neat idea to try new classes to see what suits you. Glad you had a good time with it.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Elle. I like to try new classes so that I don’t get bored with my workout routine.
Rachel says
I so wish we had Class Pass here!!! I’m so jealous of all your class shenanigans!
kookyrunner says
They are in Columbus so now they just need to come to your side of the state in Ohio!
Nicole @ Fitful Focus says
I did classpass once when I was in NYC. It was pretty good! I should do it down here to try some new studios.
kookyrunner says
I’m sure they have tons of studios to choose from in Austin!
Coco says
I think class pass has gotten a lot easier to use than when it first came out. Right now I’m full up on my classes, but I’d love to try it some time.
kookyrunner says
That’s good to know that it’s gotten easier to use! I’m not sure if I’ll keep up with it when I start Marathon training – I might have to make some adjustments to fit in everything that I want to do!
Jen @ pretty little grub says
I SOOOO wish class pass was in my city. I love the idea because I like checking out new workouts and new studios but it can be so expensive to buy single drop ins at every different spot.
kookyrunner says
It’s definitely a money saver!
Angela @marathonsandmotivation.com says
This sounds fun! We do not have it here in Maine (that I know of), but I would try it if we did 🙂
kookyrunner says
I hope it comes to your city soon!
Mary Beth Jackson says
Love it! What a great and affordable way for people to get out and try new classes!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Mary Beth – I’m all about saving money!
Toni says
Classpass sounds pretty awesome because you can get such a variety of workouts. I love trying new things.
kookyrunner says
That’s why I love it so much – the variety is great!
Zenaida Arroyo says
I keep hearing great things about ClassPass but i am reluctant to try it because most of the gyms/classes are not close to me and I am too lazy to make the drive. Yes, first world problems.
kookyrunner says
It’s definitely not convenient if the studios aren’t nearby 🙁
