Another weekend, another race! It’s been a very busy month since I’ve had races every weekend. The Queens 10K was my last 10K race this month and I have a half marathon coming up on Sunday (fun times!).

Never a good feeling to see an ambulance actually on the course |
I don’t know this man, but once NYRR posts our results, I’m going to try to find his name so I can send him this photo because it’s freaking awesome! Look how happy he looks!! 🙂 |
The man in the yellow with the beard is pretty cool! He kind of reminds me of a modern Santa Claus? |

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I LOVE NYRR! They know that this is a very important race for many runners because it is part of the Five Borough Series so they are trying their best to accommodate all of these runners. Besides that, they had sprinklers on the course to try to combat some of horrible humidity, they gave us a pretty cool medal – I’m all about the bling-bling 🙂 and a kick-ass race shirt.

NYRR has been killing it with the awesome race shirts lately! #WeRunSocial wristband sold separately 🙂 |
Up next for me is the Fairfield Half Marathon. After running this race last year, and actually crying on the course because I was so damn frustrated by all of the hills, I vowed to NEVER do this race again. But because I’m crazy, I signed up to run it again this year. I think I’m in a little better shape this year so I hope to redeem myself this year – we shall see!
Have you ever vowed to never run a race again? If so, which race?

Looks like a great race…but I'm surprised so many people were getting sick for such a relatively short distance! Maybe they didn't pace themselves for the humidity?
I vowed never to run the Chicago marathon again after my first horrible attempt. But last year, I did it and redeemed myself. And I'm doing it again this year! 🙂

I think a lot of people were shooting for a PR because of the flat course but didn't consider how the humidity would affect them 🙁
That's awesome about the Chicago Marathon! I hope I have the same success on Sunday when I re-tackle the Fairfield Half Marathon.

Thanks for linking up and sharing your race recap! This Florida girl knows all about running in the humidity but if you are not ready for it, it can get you! Good luck with the hills! Don't push to hard 🙂
