Happy Thursday! Today I am linking up in Thinking Out Loud, hosted by Amanda from Running With Spoons. I have a bunch of random thoughts this week, so this seemed like the perfect time for a Thinking Out Loud post!
Chicago Marathon 2017
The lottery for the Chicago Marathon was on Tuesday and I GOT IN!! Okay, to keep it real, I think almost everyone that applied got in 🙂 I’m super excited that I got it, along with my running friend/coach Abby, and a bunch of my other running friends. My Instagram and Twitter timeline were filled with about 80% Chicago Marathon posts and I loved it! I’m happy to have another crack at the marathon distance and I’m hoping that I will perform better on a much flatter course. I’ve decided that my goal is sub-5, which would be a 40 minute PR. Scary? Sure, but 2017 is the year of #NoExcuses.
Injury Update
So I was able to ditch the boot a little over a week ago. It feels good to wear both shoes again (lol), but I have been slow to get back to running. I’ve done a few spinning classes and I’ve gotten in a few walks on the treadmill and I have used the eliptical machine, but not running yet. Oh wait I take that back! I think a did a 20 second “jog” the other week. But seriously, I’m actually kind of scared to get back into running, but I know I have too. I also know it’s silly to be scared. Alright Kim, GET IT TOGETHER!
Online Shopping is AMAZING
I’m not a big fan of crowds or fighting for parking spots during the holiday season. To me it just takes all of the joy out of the holiday season. Instead I opt to do most of my shopping online. I would say that 90% of my holiday shopping was done online and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I can take my time and really look at different websites and also find unique gifts to give to my friends and family. Online shopping, I love you! 🙂
I hope that you’re all having a wonderful Thursday. Can you believe there’s only 10 days until Christmas? Crazy!
Have a great weekend!

Again, congrats on the Chicago Marathon! I look forward to reading about your training. Yay for no more boot but do take it easy and take care of yourself. I love online shipping. Do you go through Ebates?
