Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another edition of Tuesday Topics. This week’s Tuesday Topic: Show us your year in photos! You can write about this or any running related blog post. Remember to link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post!
It’s the last Tuesday Topics for 2020! Thank you so much for supporting this link-up throughout the year. If you’d like a sneak peak at the topics for the first half of 2021, click here 🙂
I didn’t travel or run any in person races this year, so unfortunately I don’t have any photos from races or from fun cities I visited, but I still some favorite photos from the year. Here we go!
January
The year started off strong with one of many PRs at Orangetheory Fitness.
February
A huge milestone – 100 classes!
March
I think it’s fitting that I took this photo on March 1 – the month that EVERYTHING would change. ‘Mind over Matter’ is something we would all need to adopt as the months went on.
This photo was right after my first at-home workout (a day after my OTF studio closed). Like everyone else, we thought it would only be for 2 weeks…yikes!
April
Gotta love a quarantine birthday! I made the best of it by doing an outdoor run and an at home workout.
Running virtually with friends help me keep my sanity 🙂
The first of many virtual runs.
May
This is one of my favorite photos from the year. It was awesome to come together with a bunch of running friends to spread a positive message.
This was probably around the time I started to go a little stir crazy. The fact that I didn’t care about drinking water from a penguin cup during my workout in May was a little concerning, lol.
June
Not a photo of me, but I posted this quote on my Instagram feed because it really spoke to me, and it’s still one of my favorite quotes of the year. May and June were really, really hard months due to the global spotlight (finally) on racial injustice. Exercise and meditation really helped me deal with a ton of emotions during that time.
July
First day back at OTF in months. I posted the occasion on my IG stories. It felt so good to be back!!
August
You know I love a good theme day. This was my favorite theme day (Rockstar Day) and I got to take class with my favorite coach which made it even more fun!
September
The Dri-Tri was outdoors this year and it was awesome. I even scored a PR!
Politics and activism took on a larger role in my life this year so I was happy to join Womxn Run the Vote to log miles and get the word out about voting.
October
One of the photos from Hell Week at OTF. I did all of the Hell Week workouts – 8 days in a row – it was brutal, but rewarding.
November
Probably one of the funnier photos from this year. I love holidays and any type of theme days so I always participate, but this turkey costume was a bit much! It was really hot so I think I will save it for outdoor workouts instead of indoor workouts.
December
Surprise! I hit my 200th OTF class last week. It was a nice way to close out the year.
2020 was a wild year but I had fun looking back on all of these photos from the year. Wishing you all a safe New Year’s Eve and looking forward to reading all of your posts next year!
Tell me: Do you have a favorite photo from 2020?

I t was a crazy year, and it was a tough year. But, lucky us. We can do tough things 😉 Congrats on all those milestones…it had to feel extra special slaying them in the midst of all the turmoil. I’m glad we could conquer this year together 😉 Onward!!!

What a year! It’s been a wild ride but I’m so thankful for you and my other running friends for helping to keep me sane!

200th OTF class! Congratulations, Kim, that is awesome!
I like your favourite quote – I have never read it before. So fitting. It was a hard year, but with your positive attitude and determination, you conquered it. Well done!!
I hope that by December 2021, you will have visited some fun cities and will be able to include some race photos too!

Thanks so much Catrina! I was happy that I was able to hit a few milestones in this really crazy year.

This is always my favorite post. Love your outfits.
Looks like a fun year. Though we’ll remember otherwise

When I was writing the post I still couldn’t believe that the end of 2020 is almost here – what a year!

Lots of good memories in there, actually — WTG Kim!
I don’t think I have a favorite photo from 2020. But I am glad I was able to get us out, moving, and exploring more than I have in previous years.

I also had fun writing my post. It was great to look at the photos and remembering the good and the bad. Here’s to 2021 being a better year for all of us!

I totally agree!

You had a very strong year! We all had to learn to change everything and continue our health and fitness goals. Great job at hitting so many milestones. You rock my friend

Really fun post to read Kim. Social media was such a big part of this year and i don’t think it was all bad- it helped me connect with a lot of like minded people.
You stayed active and made the most of a tough year. Commendable.
I love the topics you have on tap for next year! Excited to write.
kookyrunner says
I totally agree! Sometimes I need a break from social media but this year it was a very helpful tool to stay connected with others.

Great pictures and memories! I just created my top 9 pictures from Instagram for 2020 and they were not what I expected. I kind of thought they were pretty boring pictures! You stayed strong this year – congrats!
kookyrunner says
You just reminded me that I need to do my Top 9 – I totally forgot!

You were the Queen of Peloton this year and so glad you just kept pushing through this year! What a fitting top you wore on the 1st March… no one could have guessed what was to follow!! To think at one point I thought, all this would soon blow over. And here we are 31st December, and in some places its just getting worse. But one thing I know is that we survived this year, and we will keep surviving and even thriving. All the best for 2021!
kookyrunner says
LoL I kinda like Queen of Peloton! I really thought that I would be working from home for 2 weeks in March and that everything would go back to normal. Boy was I wrong! Hoping for nothing but good things for us in 2021!
