Happy Tuesday! It’s time for our last edition of Tuesday Topics for 2023! This week’s Tuesday Topic: What are your goals for 2024? Remember to link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post.
It’s our last Tuesday Topics link up for 2023. Thank you to everyone for linking up with us throughout this year 🙂 It’s still a little crazy to me to be thinking about 2024, but here we are! Before jumping into next year’s goals, here’s a recap of my 2023 goals:
I am very thankful that I was able to complete most of my goals this year. Since I started incorporating weekly OTF Strength 50 classes I don’t have much time for Peloton strength classes, so that was one reason I didn’t hit that goal, but I’ll aim to hit it in 2024.
Here are my 2024 goals. Similar to last year, I grouped my fitness goals into two categories – Peloton and Orangetheory Fitness.
I also have a few non-fitness goals:
Journal daily
This is something that has crossed my mind in the past year or so, but I never really acted on it. Funny enough, I kept seeing an ad for a particular journal on Instagram and TikTok. Normally I always ignore these type of ads, but I decided to do more research and go to the company’s website and I was super impressed. It also helped that I was able to get the journal on sale 🙂 The Inside Then Out journal has daily prompts which makes it super easy to journal daily. I’m looking forward to making this a part of my every day routine.
Finally establish a good sleep routine
This is a goal that I also had last year. My sleep routine definitely improved, but it could be better! One thing that has really helped is limiting my screen time before bed.
Tell me: What are your goals for 2024?

This will also be my last post as a Tuesday Topics co-host, but don’t worry, you’re in great hands with Zenaida and Jenn! Although I won’t be a cohost, I will still try to join the link-up at least twice a month.

You did get with your goals this year.
I bet you hit them all next year.
I feel like my blog is my journal. It keeps me honest.
I agree about sleep. It’s so elusive some nights for no good reason.
I had some elaborate goals.
Now it’s just to heal this new injury.

Sleep is still such a mystery to me, but hopefully I can figure out the secret to getting consistent good nights of sleep!

Nice job on accomplishing all your 2023 goals! I haven’t made any specific 2024 goals yet, but I’m thinking of including journaling. On the “Happier” podcast they have a yearly challenge, and this year it’s to write for either 24 minutes a day, or the easier version, 2-4 minutes a day. I think I could handle 2-4.
I hope you had a nice Christmas Kim, and best wishes for 2024!!!
kookyrunner says
That sounds like a great challenge – I think the 2-4 minutes per day is way more reasonable, for me anyway lol.
Hope you had a great Christmas!
Debbie says
You did great on accomplishing most of your 2023 fitness goals. I can understand why it would be tough completing both Peloton and OTF strength training goals at the same time. Hitting my sleep goals is hard for me, too.
kookyrunner says
It seems like a lot of us struggle with sleep. I hope we can all get into a better sleep routine in 2024!
Deborah Brooks says
More sleep has been so helpful for me this year. You really knocked out a lot of your goals. It is hard to fit it all in!
kookyrunner says
So hard! I always feel like I need more time in the day.
Jenn says
Oh, my sleep routine goes in and out. Sometimes it’s rock solid, while other times I can’t fall asleep, or I wake up at 3AM and am ready to start the day. One day, I will get a handle on that!
Great goals for the year! I can’t wait ito see how it works out!
kookyrunner says
I’m the same way. I will have a great week of sleeping and then the next week will be horrible. So frustrating!
Zenaida Arroyo says
You did great with your goal this year! For sure you will do the same next year. I checked out the journal. it is popular because it is sold out!
It’s been so much fun cohosting this linkup with you! I am glad you will still continue to join us.
kookyrunner says
Oh wow, I didn’t know the journal was sold out. I didn’t realize it was that popular!
Catrina says
Another strong year for you, Kim!!
I’m still trying to wrap my head around 800 running classes. That’s absolutely amazing! Especially since you do so many other classes, too.
I’m lucky if I go running 300 times a year, which isn’t even half of what you do. Besides that, I maybe have 200 strength sessions and I hardly do any cycling. You’re a fitness rock star!!
All the best for 2024 – so glad you will continue to join the Tuesday club!
kookyrunner says
Ohh the 800 is cumulative, not all of those runs happened in 2023! I thin I started Peloton in 2019 so it’s starting from way back then, lol. But in a year I probably average 100-150 Peloton running classes.

You did great with your goals this year! I do not doubt that 2024 will be another strong year for you! I also love that you’re taking up journaling . Improving my sleep is also on my list for the new year – the struggle is real!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Michelle! I am actually really looking forward to getting back to journaling. It’s a great way to slow down for a few minutes a day.
