Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another edition of Tuesday Topics. This week’s Tuesday Topic: What is your Fall race schedule?. Remember to link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post.
Even though I haven’t done a race since 2019, Fall is still my favorite season for racing. Not only is the weather amazing, but often the scenery is beautiful because all the leaves are changing colors. I don’t have an extensive Fall race schedule, but I am planning to do a race in November.
2022 Harbor Point Turkey Trot 5K Fun Run (November 24)
This is our local 5K race that happens on Thanksgiving. There’s no current information online for the race yet, but I am about 90% sure it’s happening this year. I usually go to OTF on Thanksgiving but I thought I would mix things up this year and do the race, complete with my deluxe turkey costume 🙂
Orangetheory Hell Week (October 24-31)
Although not technically a “race”, it’s on my Fall schedule. This will be my 4th year participating in Hell Week, and yes, it’s as brutal as it seems. In 2020 I did all 8 classes, but I don’t think I will ever do that again – it was rough! No clue why a shirt gives me incentive to do this to myself every year, lol. Last year’s shirt was awesome so I’m not sure if they can top that this year.
I may also do a few virtual races if they support charities. I haven’t done that in a while because I was doing SO many at one point, but it’s always nice to run for a cause, especially as we enter the holiday season.
Tell me: What races are you planning to do this Fall?

I knew you wouldn’t miss Hell Week, lol! I’d do it for the shirt. I have a trail half in October that I deferred from last fall and I just signed up for a trail 8 miler on the IAT that takes place one week before that. It’s a race that I’ve been wanting to do but have never been able to make happen. It will be a good warm up before my half!

I hope you get to do that Turkey Trot in November, Kim! I’m sure it will be a lot of fun in your deluxe turkey outfit.
Have fun at Hell Week! Looking forward to reading all about this year’s edition!

Thans Darlene! I also agree that Thanksgiving Day races are the best – always so much fun.

you have the best Thanksgiving costume! I look forward to seeing it every year. Fall running and racing is my favorite as well. Now we just need fall

I am looking for a local Turkey Trot as well, this year. Not finding anything good yet. Good luck with yours!
I have done a Winery 5k this Fall and loved running along the grape vines. The color theme, the scenery…gorgeous! I wish I could do more Fall-themed 5ks at farms, vineyards etc. I’m doing 2 local races in Oct that raise money for some charities and I feel that the race fees are better justified that way (for me).

I would love to do a 5K at a local winery – that sounds like fun!

Hell Week is such an awesome challenge! I’d do it for the shirt too – last year’s was a good one!
Just two fall races for me – a 10M and a half, both in November.

Good luck with your Fall races in November!

I always love your costumes so I’m excited for your Thanksgiving Race in costume! I have a few races lined up from now until December – maybe even 5 for October and I’m targeting a goal Half in November. So it will be an exciting end a year that started with no races (aside from my ultra) planned!

Wow 5 races in October?! you have a jam packed schedule for Fall racing so far!
