Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another edition of Tuesday Topics. This week’s Tuesday Topic: what are your favorite Instagram running accounts to follow? You can write about this or any running related topic. Remember to link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post.
With soooo many running accounts on social media, it can be hard to cut through the noise to fins reputable accounts to follow. Earlier this year I did a huge “unfollow” on my Instagram account. I was following way too many accounts which made my newsfeed super cluttered. Below I’ll share a few of the accounts I decided to keep because I love the information they share.
I only run in Brooks sneakers so it was a no brainer for me to follow their account. Also, out of all the sneaker brands, I feel like they have the most engaging page because they feature all of their products, runners of all sizes, genders and races using their products and they often have cool contests.
Becs is one of the Peloton treadmill instructors. While I do most of my runs with Jess, I’ve been taking more of Becs classes lately and I really appreciate how knowledgeable she is about running. Also, she’s a super fast badass runner but also so helpful. I’ve found so many great tidbits of information about running on her Instagram page. In addition, she often shares lots of great info on her IG stories as well.
I have followed Amanda’s Instagram account for years. Love her page because she’s brutally honest and does really great product reviews. She also share great motivational quote posts and funny running memes – and you know I’m all about the memes!
I came across Amy’s page earlier this year and really enjoyed her content. She mixes in training for races with humor and fun which is something I can definitely relate too. I also love following her goal of doing a half marathon in all of the states.
Tell me: What are some of your favorite Instagram running accounts to follow?

These sound like very inspiring accounts, Kim!
Unfortunately, I’m not on IG. I knew I would get hooked and love it so much that I would spend too much time on there. But it’s definitely a great tool if you can be selective and disciplined about it. Nice!

It’s very easy to get sucked into IG – I try to limit the time I spend mindlessly scrolling lol.

I got “off” (technically I’m still on), IG when the Pandemic started. No real reason, just that there’s only so many hours in the day.
I’ve never heard of the last account, though — thanks for sharing, Kim!
kookyrunner says
I don’t post as much on IG anymore because I just don’t feel like I have much to share, but I still love viewing other accounts 🙂

Oh I love AMY!!! I’ve been following her for awhile, too. I love her humor and she’s also very interactive with her followers as well. I think I’m following the Brooks site, but I don’t see it very often. have a lot of “deadbeat” peeps I need to get rid off, so the worthwhile ones filter back into my feed more often. I avoided sharing my favorites today because there would (invariably) be some I’d forget and didn’t want to go down that rabbit hole LOL

100% agree about Amy – i love how she interacts with all the comments.
It’s so good to do an IG “purge” every now and then, especially since the newsfeed is no longer in chronological order. I want to make sure I only follow people I actually care about seeing.

Interesting accounts but I am not on Instagram. Thanks for sharing.
I only follow W.A. running groups: the official one (Atleticom asd) and some groups of friends in my city and outside.
kookyrunner says
That’s great! I wish I could follow more running groups on IG but I wouldn’t even know where to start!
Deborah Brooks says
I do love my IG! I follow all of the above but raceacrossstates is new to me checking it out now. Thanks!
kookyrunner says
Glad to give you a new potential page to follow!
Darlene S. Cardillo says
I do love IG. Easier and faster than other social media.
Thanks for recommending Amy.
kookyrunner says
Totally agree – it’s my favorite social media platform.

Those are great accounts! Have you seen Becs’ documentary as she ran the Olympic trials? She’s so inspiring and almost makes me want to get out there and try a marathon again!
kookyrunner says
Yup! i watched all the parts of her documentary and it made me appreciate her even more – what an amazing athlete!
Jenny says
Oh yes- I love Becs. She is incredible. I’ll check out the other ones you mentioned- a little humor is always welcomed!
kookyrunner says
Yes, you know I’m all about humor!

I’ve taken a few runs with Becs but don’t follow her on IG. I will have to check her feed. I had not heard of raceacrossthestates so thanks for the recommendation. Amanda’s account is a good one!
kookyrunner says
Definitely follow Becs! I love when she goes live or shares tips in her IG stories.

Ooh. Off to follow all of these. I think the only Peloton coach I follow is Matty and that’s just so I can keep up with the challenges he seems to only post in his stories.
I follow some of the standard serious ones and local runners, but my honest favorite is @runnersbe , which I miss. I hope they come back. @carlostherunner is a good interim one though
kookyrunner says
Carlos is such a good one to follow – I have always loved his memes!
