Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another edition of Tuesday Topics. This week’s Tuesday Topic: Let’s go down memory lane again and tell us about your best childhood memory. Remember to link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post.
Instead of speaking about childhood memories today, I wanted to share some of my favorite moments from the New York City Marathon. First, a HUGE congratulations to all the runners that ran the race on Sunday. NYCM was my first and still my favorite marathon. The spectators and energy of the race is unmatched.
This year I didn’t spectate the race in person but I followed a lot of it on social media and on TV. Nothing beats being there in person but I still saw some incredible moments.
Of course it’s always exhilarating to watch the elites race! Congrats to Tamirat Tola,
Hellen Obiri, Catherine Debrunner and Marcel Hug!
Peloton instructors and DJ John Michael were stationed at Mile 20 and that cheer section looked like one hell of a good time! They were out there supporting and cheering for all the runners on the course, including 6 of their fellow instructors that were running. Apparently there was a news guy very close to that cheer station and he did not look amused – I have watched this video multiple times and each time it gets funnier – https://www.instagram.com/p/CzR95OHLsw7/
Watching the video of Kayleigh Williamson, one of the first women with Down Syndrome to complete a marathon, cross the finish line was so special. The range of emotions she displayed after crossing the finish line is what running the marathon is all about.

That poor news guy! You are right, the video is hilarious!!
What a great vibe – I hope you can spectate the race in person next year. It looks like a blast!
Catherine Debrunner and Marcel Hug are athletes who are well-known in their home country, Switzerland. They did really well!

How appropriate this post is.
I was there as you know. The race itself went horribly and but this is making me think of happy thoughts.
Those spectators!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing.
Those that struggled but finished!
Great weather.
Friends there.
NYC food!
Yes what Catrina said. You should come in person.

Seeing all the Peloton instructors cheering n the runners on IG was so cool. I bet this is a fabulous race to spectate in person and even more fun to run

It’s SO much fun to spectate! Granted you’ll lose your voice from all the screaming but it’s worth it.

Running is just as fun to spectate as to run. Sometimes more. I wish I’d known where the Pelo folks were, that could have been fun
I always love Hannah Gavios’ reels too

I think the Peloton people were at Mile 20 – I hope they do that again next year.
