Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another edition of Tuesday Topics. This week’s Tuesday Topic: FREE topic! This week I’m discussing my favorite accessories for the Peloton bike and treadmill. Remember to link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post!
I get a lot of use out of my bike and treadmill and one thing that makes those workouts better is the use of a few accessories. Here are a few of my favorites!
Battery Operated Clip on Mini Desk Fan
I sweat like a maniac so I always need some type of fan on my for an indoor workout. The clip on fan is great because it’s not too large and it has adjustable wind speeds. I clip it on the top of the screen on my bike and on the water holder tray on the treadmill. This fan has come in handy on several occasions, especially during any type of bootcamp classes.
This knee pad has helped me out tremendously when doing any type of yoga or strength classes. I have had issues with my knees in the past so I try to take extra steps to protect them when I can. This knee pad makes a lot of the moves less painful. I also use it for elbows when doing any type of plank moves too.
Monitor Dust Covers – Bike and Treadmill
I always want to protect the screen on the bike and treadmill so I purchased basic covers from Amazon. You can find personalized covers on Etsy but I didn’t really want to pay $40+ per cover so these standard ones from Amazon do the job just fine! It’s nice because these covers will help prevent dust from accumulating on the screens of both machines.
I purchased a cheap pair of earbuds for my workouts. The treadmill can be a little noisy as you increase speed. Instead of turning up the volume super loud, I decided to get earbuds. These are great because I just leave them in the basement and put them back in their charging case once I’m done with my workout. (Note: I purchased these a few weeks ago when they were $12 but I see the price has gone up, but they make go on sale again).
Tell me: Do you have any favorite Peloton or workout accessories?

Well, no Peloton accessories in my world, but that fan looks like something I should snag for when (if?) I adopt a replacement for Milly. I get SO hot and sweaty on the treadmill, too, it’s kind of ridiculous LOL

The fan would be a nice addition for Milly’s replacement 🙂

No peloton accessories but for my stationary bike I had a small towel nearby, a fan, my smart TV so I could use the peloton app and bike shorts or skirt in my case. Of course a water bottle. Nothing elaborate.

I also have towels nearby both machines since I sweat like crazy no matter what, lol.

That knee pad!
Right now I am improvising with a towel that I fold four times, but it slips around on the wooden floor. Which makes planks even more challenging, haha!
Thanks for the tip, I will look into this, Kim.

The knee pad has been super helpful and it often make it possibly for me to get into a deep stretch for some of those yoga moves too!

I just use a folded blanket for my knees when necessary. I’ve had them a long time!
I agree on the earbuds (I use Airpods my husband got a good deal on some time ago) and I’ve had a fan on my treadmill forever!
Never even thought about dust covers for monitors!
kookyrunner says
I actually saw the dust cover idea on a website last year and I couldn’t believe I didn’t think of that! I’m trying to keep these machines in tip top shape for as long as possible, lol.

What a bargain for those earbuds! Granted things are a lot pricier here than in the US but mine were about USD50 and certainly not top of the range! But I do love them. That knee pad sound like just what I need. I don’t have knee issues as such, but I just find it so uncomfortable to kneel on them and always need extra padding. Using towels just makes me more unsteady so this sounds like it would work perfectly for me.
kookyrunner says
Right?! I was like I can’t pass up this deal on the earbuds! I would never pay $200+ for the AirPods so these were right up my alley, lol. The knee pad makes a world of difference, especially for certain stretches!

I have a giant fan next to my bike I end up using it even in the wintertime. I also have a shoe holder that I like that attaches to the back of my bike. I never thought about the screen cover I will look into those.
kookyrunner says
I’ve seen the shoe holder attachment for the bike of the bike. I started to get that, but I just keep my shoes clipped in, lol.

A screen cover is such a smart idea! I need to check out Amazon for one. I also like the idea of a clip-on fan for my bike – especially now that summer has arrived!
kookyrunner says
I definitely give a thumbs up for both purchases! I linked to the ones I have but Amazon has a ton of different screens and fans to pick from.
Black Knight says
The screen cover is a very good idea.
I don’t use stationary bike and treadmill even if both helped me a lot when I had to recover after a femore fracture (2007).

I would not be able to ride my indoor bike without my little fan! Great idea to use cheap ear buds. I use my AirPods, but I am using my “old” pair and trying to save my new pair from sweat for as long as possible.
kookyrunner says
The little fans make such a difference, especially in the summer months!
San says
Oh, I need that mini desk fan…. especially as it gets so hot here….
kookyrunner says
The mini desk fan has helped me power through many workouts, lol.
