Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another edition of Tuesday Topics. This week’s Tuesday Topic: FREE!. Feel free to write about any topic. Remember to link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post.
Today’s post is all about implementing fun into workouts. As Jess Sims says “Not every workout is going to feel like Disneyworld”, and that’s okay, but why not have fun when you can? Peloton has thousands of classes to choose from, but when you’re looking for a little fun in your workout, try out these class.
AFO Full Body Strength: T-Pain 8/19/22 – Jess
AFO Ride: T-Pain 8/19/22 – Camila
I think I mentioned this in one of my Weekly Run Down posts, but these classes were absolutely hilarious. I think I laughed as much as I worked out. T-Pain is such a carefree and overall nice dude. You could tell he was really happy to be there and even had his 80’s workout outfit on to celebrate the occasion, lol.
Lizzo Two For One Ride 7/15/22 – Jess & Robin
I still think this may be the best class on the Peloton platform. It has everything – sweat, singing, dancing and inspiration. You really can’t go wrong with Lizzo, especially when she’s in the room riding live with everyone!
Halloween Run 10/28/20 – Matty
This run was actually hard to complete because I was either laughing or smiling from ear to ear every few minutes. If I remember correctly I actually made it more of a walk/run. During the run you get to meet Mara Thoner and she does not disappoint! I also recommend taking any of Matty’s Halloween or Holiday runs because they are all funny and I really appreciate how he commits to the costume.
Halloween: Power Zone Ride 10/31/20 – Matt
Matt dressed up as Olivia for this ride and never broke character for the full 30 minutes. Not only was it a great power zone class, but the time flew by because I truly couldn’t believe what I was seeing, lol.
Tell me: How do you incorporate fun into your workouts?

Matty running in that costume is hilarious! I’m not on Peloton, but I would love to do one of those runs! 😄
kookyrunner says
Matty is definitely the funniest out of all the instructors!
Kimberly Hatting says
I need to look up these classes, especially the Halloween ones. While I don’t really follow the instruction, I do like listening to the commentary and music while I walk (and, recently, I’ve been listening to them on short runs). Lots of great suggestions, thanks #KimTwin!!
kookyrunner says
The Peloton Halloween classes are normally really fun. The instructors really get into the spirit and dress up.
Jenny says
Yes, I definitely want to check out Matty as Mara Thoner! Since I don’t do the cycling classes I’ll miss out on most of these, but I’ll try Jess and T-Pain’s full body strength. Thanks for the recommendations!
kookyrunner says
No problem! You know i love to share Peloton classes whenever I can 🙂
Darlene says
I don’t dislike peloton. it’s just I didn’t use it so why pay $$. I pretty much run outside. And that’s all.
When I did I enjoyed the instructors and their advice and funny lines.
Thanks for sharing.
Who knows? I may come back.
kookyrunner says
Totally understand. They don’t have a lot of outdoor content for runs.
Cari says
I <3 Mara and I'm always impressed she doesn't fall off him in those classes
I pelofess that while I enjoy the disney runs, I hate the Mouse so I'm the anti target to Jess' Disney comments.
kookyrunner says
Mara is someone I would love to hang out with for a day. I’m sure it would be a day full of nothing but laughs.
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
I’ve only done Peloton classes when we were visiting our son and d-i-l in Florida in March and didn’t hit upon any that were silly (costumes, teacher in character, etc). I enjoyed them, though, because they were really good workouts. To answer your question, I enjoy working out so I find it fun in itself, but extra fun when I’m with friends.
kookyrunner says
Working out with friends is always a fun time!
Deborah Brooks says
I am all about having fun with the classes too. The lizzo ride was super fun! Can’t wait to see what Matty does for Halloween this year
kookyrunner says
I definitely cannot wait to see what Matty does for Halloween this year. I know it will be ridiculous lol.
San says
Haha, thanks for sharing these… I love that the instructors are not afraid to make fools of themselves ::
kookyrunner says
They definitely aren’t, which makes the classes so much fun!
Zenaida Arroyo says
I love all of Matty’s running classes. They’re inspirational, educational, and hilarious. I love him!
kookyrunner says
I couldn’t agree more!
Virjinia @ With Purpose and Kindness says
I’ve taken all of these and I LOVED them! I think the Live DJ Ride where Matt pretends to be Cody is also a good one. Oh man, that had me rolling because you can tell DJ John Michael had no clue Matt was going to say any of that!
kookyrunner says
I almost included that Matt ride as well, lol.

I love instructors who don’t take themselves seriously but get the job done! We run a lot of training workshops for middle to senior managers. At the start of each day, we put on some music and have participants dance around the room. They are always so uncomfortable at first. But by the time we get to the final day, they are the ones recommending the morning dance song! Nothing like seeing a bunch of CEOs letting their hair loose and just having fun!
kookyrunner says
Adding in fun or humor into a workout is always a win-win in my book! I love that you play music before a workshop! What a fun way to get people to loosen up 🙂
