Happy Tuesday and welcome to the first Tuesday Topics of 2020! I hope that you all had an amazing holiday season. Because I was working, it felt like the time went by quickly, but I still managed to really enjoy the holidays.
This week’s topic – what fun running things did you do over the holidays? You can write about this, or any other running related topic. Remember to Link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post!
12 Days of Fitness
I participated in the 12 Days of Fitness at my Orangetheory Fitness studio. Since each class at OTF includes running, I’m counting this as part of my running fun over the holidays, lol. I rocked holiday shirts for each of my classes and it was super fun.
Christmas Eve OTF Class
I decided that Christmas Eve would be the perfect time to do my first 90 minute OTF class. Of course I had to celebrate the occasion by rocking my “Elf” shirt. I love that movie!
Christmas Day Run
For the past few years I’ve done my own Christmas Day 5K. It’s a really nice way to kick off the morning before opening gifts and eating breakfast. Luckily it wasn’t too cold this year either!
Did you have any running fun over the holidays?

Not as much running as I would have liked due to a sore foot.
But lots of parties. Too much eating out. A few movies.
Now back to normal.
kookyrunner says
Yes! I indulged in so many yummy treats over the holidays.
Wendy says
Those shirts were everything! LOL! Looks like you had a lot of running fun! The mild weather we had helped make running fun. Everything else too.

Thanks Wendy! I was actually surprised at my holiday shirt collection lol

I love that last photo with the four of you. Everyone looks so happy and full of energy!
I’m sure you carefully store those holiday-themed T-Shirts and re-use them again next season. I am just thinking what’s the next holiday coming up… I’m looking forward to seeing a hilarious Valentine outfit! 😉
kookyrunner says
Thanks! iI do have a shirt for Valentines Day but it’s pretty tame lol

I love (!) how active you were over the holidays and that you have a tradition of doing a 5k on Christmas morning! I definitely kept up a bit of a routine (went to my cycling class on Christmas Eve and ran on the 27th, but did take Christmas Day off.
I love all your holiday shirts (where do you get them?) and the movie Elf is one of my favorites! A must-watch every year!
kookyrunner says
Thanks! I got most of my holidays shirts from Old Navy. The Elf shirt came from Target. Some of the running related ones I purchased online but unfortunately the website is no longer active 🙁
Zenaida Arroyo says
I am actually impressed with your collection of shirts. You have some great ones! I also love the movie Elf!
kookyrunner says
Thanks! Elf is one of my favorite holiday movies!

Thanks so much Deborah!

I love all of your shirts! Perfect for the holidays! I always do a Christmas day run with friends. It’s always fun to dress up a little for it and get a little attention (in a good way) from passing drivers.
kookyrunner says
I agree! Sometimes dressing up in something fun makes the run better in my opinion, lol
Chaitali says
Those shirts are amazing! I love the deer pong one 🙂
kookyrunner says
lol thanks so much!
Rachel says
GIRL! Your shirts are on point!!! Omg those are freakin hilarious!!!!
I loved seeing your posts over the holidays. It kept me accountable somehow. I was so lazy up until winter break for my kids and then all of a sudden a fire was lit under my bum.
kookyrunner says
Oh I’m so happy to hear that! It’s so easy to get busy over the holidays and neglect our workouts. The #holidayswet challenge from Fitapproach also helped to keep me accountable.
Michelle @ Running with Attitude says
You really did have the best collection of holiday t-shirts 🙂 You’ve inspired me to try the 12 days of fitness at OTF this year!
kookyrunner says
Yay! You’ll love it 🙂
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
Oh my goodness, you have the best Christmas running shirts (and so many)!
Happy New Year!
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much Debbie!
Cari says
Love the penguin scarf! And of course all the shirts. Your mom’s Christmas Eve OTF shirt is the best.
kookyrunner says
Thanks! I got the penguin scarf from Kohls a few years ago.
