Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another edition of Tuesday Topics. This week’s Tuesday Topic: What are your summer running/racing plans? Remember to link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post.
Can you believe that tomorrow is the official start of Summer? If you’ve been following this blog for a while you know that I’m no fan of Summer. In fact, it’s my least favorite season by far. Every year I suck it up for 3-4 months and just pray that Fall comes quickly. Here are my running plans for the Summer.
This Summer…I’ll be continuing to enjoy Orangetheory Fitness classes
In fact, I should be able to hit my 600th class by the end of the Summer. Membership tends to trend downward in the Summer since people prefer to be outdoors, but I still plan on being consistent with my 4 classes a week (which includes the Lift45 classes).
This Summer…I’ll be participating in a few walking/running challenges
While I won’t be running any races this Summer, I plan on participating in a few running and walking challenges. There’s a local challenge in August and a few challenges on Facebook and Peloton groups that I will participate in as well. For me, Summer is all about keeping that momentum going, especially when it comes to fitness.
This Summer…I will complete all the Peloton Artist series running/walking classes
I have a bunch of these classes bookmarked on my phone (mainly outdoor classes) so I plan on having fun each week by checking these off my list 🙂

This sounds great! I hope you will enjoy the Peloton Artist series outdoor classes. I love being outdoors in all seasons but especially in summer. Nothing beats a run in a cool forest, surrounded by shady trees and accompanied by happy bird songs!

As long as it’s not too humid, I don’t mind Summer running if I start early in the morning, lol.

I am impressed with your OTF schedule on top of all of the Peloton classes you do! I could use some walking challenges to jump on this summer if you have any to suggest.

Those are great plans for you. I have no doubt that you will meet all your goals.
Mine are totally different and I try to spent a much time outside as possible – gardening, hiking, racing, etc.

You certainly will not be bored or stagnant 🙂 it’s great you have indoor options since you’re not a fan of the outside heat. Enjoy all those artist series classes!

Like Deborah, I am always in awe of your OTF and Peloton classes! Tough seasons make it hard to keep the momentum going! For me – my focus is to get through the winter months and to stick to my running plan!

Summer is my least favorite season too. Now I also find boring going to the beach, I don’t like to sit under an umbrella on the sand: I love the rocks and the high water!
I don’t have yet any racing plan for this summer.
