Happy Tuesday and welcome to the first Tuesday Topics post of February!
This week’s Tuesday Topic: What are your favorite non-running products? You can write about this topic, or feel free to post any running related blog post. Remember to Link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post!
Yes, running is a huge part of my life, but there are still lots of non-running products that I love! Here’s a list of a few of my favorites:
Peloton App & Bike
If you follow me on Instagram, you already know that I love this company. To clarify, I share this bike (and subscription) with my mom to make it more affordable. We definitely both get a TON of use out of it! Between taking classes on the bike and all the classes offered on the app, I really feel like it helps me get good quality and hard workouts in at home.
Fitbit Alta HR
I’ve had this Fitbit for a little over a year now and it helps to keep me accountable, not just with running. My Fitbit gives me a nudge to get up and move my body, especially when my step count is low. I also love that it’s pretty small so I use it as my watch, and I can switch out the band if I want a different color. It also tracks my sleep which has been super helpful in me identifying some of my sleeping issues.
King Size Heating Pad
My king size heating pad is one way that I practice self care. Sometimes I like to use it for my achy muscles and sometimes it’s good to lay on if I have stomach issues.
Contigo SnapSeal Insulated Travel Mug
I absolutely love this mug! I put my coffee or tea in this travel mug and it keeps my beverage nice and hot for hours. This is good for me so I can sip it throughout my morning. It will also keep cold beverage cold for many hours as well. It’s a universal mug and I’ve taken it with me when I travel as well.
Tell me: What are your favorite non-running products?

That Petaton bike! I’m not much of a cyclist (and have only been to one spinning class, ever), but this bike has me SOOO intrigued! You definitely have been rocking that bike recently, what an inspiration 😉

Thanks #kimtwin!
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
Love Contigo! And if I could afford a Peloton bike, I’m pretty sure I’d love that too. 🙂
Let’s see, there’s chocolate, of course. And Yogi teas — Blueberry Slim & Hisbiscus Skin Detox are two of my favs but there are others I drink, too!
My Instant Pot. Bye bye, crockpots — I only broke them out to use as chafing dishes for Thanksgiving. 🙂
kookyrunner says
I love Yogi teas too! I haven’t found one yet that I don’t like.
I don’t have an instant pot but I do use my air fryer a lot. It makes the perfect buffalo cauliflower – yum!

A heating pad sounds wonderful about now…as we await an ice storm 😛
kookyrunner says
Ugh! Can’t Mother Nature gives Chicago a break!
Cari says
I have the non HR Alta and I love it. Size is perfect and yes, Fitbit is such a great motivator
Similar to your heating pad, my Bed Buddy has been a huge help.
kookyrunner says
Yup, the size is perfect – not too big or small and works perfectly as a watch!
I’ve heard great reviews on the Bed Buddy.
Janelle @ Run With No Regrets says
All great products! I love the FitBit – was considering an upgrade by my Alta works just fine! The Peleton looks amazing…it seems to be able to do a lot, which is great. I really haven’t had any new non-running products lately!
kookyrunner says
Same here for the Fitbit. I love the look of some of the other ones (Versa) but my Alta works just fine for what I need!
Laurie says
So many bloggers have been writing about their Peloton. It sounds so cool! I may have to check it out. I heard it was expensive, but it may be worth it!
kookyrunner says
It is a little on the expensive side but I really try to make sure I use it a lot to get the most for my money!
Denise @ runheartfit says
The Peloton bike seems like a great workout. It’s especially good for those of you with bad weather that keeps you indoors.
kookyrunner says
It’s been clutch for me the past few weeks! The weather has been so crappy.
Zenaida Arroyo says
That bike! I am hoping one day I can get one.
I have a Contigo water bottle and love it! It doesn’t spill which is one of the reasons I got it. I would get their coffee mug but it isn’t big enough for the amount of coffee I drink. 🙂
kookyrunner says
LOL, how much coffee do you drink?!?!
Deborah @ Confessions of mother runner says
well you know I love my Peloton too! That king sized heating pad sounds just amazing.
kookyrunner says
I love my king size heating pad – it covers such a large area so it’s perfect for my back, legs, etc.
Debbie says
I’d love a Peloton bike! Not that I have room, but I’d love it anyway. You’re so lucky you can share with your mom. Great idea!
kookyrunner says
I’m definitely fortunate that my mom and I both use it. It’s definitely not a cheap investment so that makes it more affordable.
Sandra D Laflamme says
I want a Peleton so badly. Is it worth the investment? I’ve heard such great things and know I would probably use it all the time.
kookyrunner says
I think that it’s definitely worth the investment, especially because with the app you can take many more classes besides spinning.
Chaitali says
I got one of those mugs that keeps things hot longer (or cold) and I absolutely love it! I never used to be able to finish my coffee before it got cold before.
kookyrunner says
I got it for the same reason. Now I can take my time when I drink my coffee or tea in the morning.
Marc Pelerin says
Wait, wait… We do things other than run? I like your list – it makes me think about getting my heating pad out and putting it on my back!
kookyrunner says
Oh the king size heating bag has helped me out so much!
Shathiso says
That contigo travel mug looks awesome! I haven’t found a flask that really works for me so I’ll have to look that one up! My favourite non-related running products… I am going to have to say my dumb-bells. I have had my dumb-bells for years but can you believe only in the last couple of weeks have I started using them. They are the only thing that have managed to get me to work out at home which I always struggled with before.
kookyrunner says
Yes, definitely look it up! I got mine from Target but I know a bunch of websites, including Amazon, sells them. They have all different sizes too.
It’s always good to have dumb-bells on hand, especially at home. You can get in a really great workout with them!
Hannah says
Insulated coffee mugs and water bottles are so useful. We actually have a kind of absurd number of them for only two people, but the different sizes and shapes are useful for different things….or at least so I tell myself.
kookyrunner says
I have the same issue with various sized containers!
Esther says
I have seen so many great things about the Peleton bike! For now I use the bikes at my gym!
That heating pad looks amazing! Just the size I would need for my back!
kookyrunner says
The king size heating pad was a game changer!
