Happy Sunday! Is it just me or did January fly by? I can’t believe February starts next week!
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, January 23
Fresh Friday 9/9/22 – Denis (30 minutes)
Walk + Run 12/8/22 – Jess (20 minutes)
Extra 10: Hike 11/1/22 – Joslyn (10 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
My body was still pretty sore from my workouts the previous week (especially Sunday) so I took the Peloton classes pretty easy.
Tuesday, January 24
Warm Up Run 1/10/23 – Jon (10 minutes)
Saturday60: 90s Bootcamp 1/21/23 – Jess (60 minutes)
Pride 365 Ride 10/11/21 – Jess K (30 minutes)
Focus Flow: Lower Body 12/2/21 – Kristin (20 minutes)
This was a really fun Saturday60 because of the playlist – she through in a few listening games on the treadmill. The lower body focus flow felt SO good for my legs. I actually bookmarked the class so that I can take it again.
Wednesday, January 25
Kygo Warm Up Ride 1/28/23 – Charlotte (10 minutes)
Mood Ride: Calm 5/26/21 – Sam (20 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
2000’s Run 9/29/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
I really love these Mood series rides, especially early in the morning. The OTF class was a total leg burner so I felt that the rest of the day.
Thursday, January 26
SIX: The Musical Ride 1/25/23 – Robin (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – Inferno (60 minutes)
SIX: The Musical Walk 1/24/23 – Matty (30 minutes)
Inferno is one of my favorite OTF signature workouts. It’s basically a run/row for 23 minutes and it’s intense, but fun. I wasn’t sure how I would do since I had a bad case of insomnia the night before and only got about 2-3 hours of sleep. Luckily I was only about 100 meters off from my PR.
Friday, January 27
Georgia Longleaf Pines Ride 10K
SIX: The Musical Cool Down Ride 1/25/23 – Sam (5 minutes)
SIX: The Musical Arms & Light Weights 1/25/23 – Hannah C (10 minutes)
SIX: The Musical Run 1/25/23 – Jeffrey (30 minutes)
When I woke up I didn’t have a workout stack in mind. I’m usually pretty sore after the Inferno workout, so I wasn’t sure what I would be in the mood for in terms of cardio, but this stack was pretty. I took everything at an easy pace.
Saturday, January 28
Warm Up Walk 9/6/22 – Joslyn (10 minutes)
Hip Hop Fun Run 9/18/19 – Jess (45 minutes)
Cool Down Walk 11/10/22 – Jeffrey (5 minutes)
Big Sur Ride 10K
Arms & Light Weights 1/17/23 – Tunde (10 minutes)
Dug into the archives for this 45 minute run because I really liked the playlist. I’m also enjoying the scenic rides again, especially this one because Big Sur is so beautiful! I really need to visit there one day.
Sunday, January 29
Aguirre Spring Ride 10K
Monterey Peninsula Ride 5K
Orangetheory Fitness – Lift 45 (45 minutes)
More scenic rides – this time I rode through New Mexico and California. Today’s Lift45 class wasn’t as brutal as last week’s but it was a great full body workout. We had drop sets today which I absolutely love!
This week’s stats:
Bootcamp – 60 minutes
Cycle – 46.31 miles
Orangetheory Fitness – 180 minutes
Running – 16.2 miles
Strength Training – 65 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 928/930*
*not including rowing classes
Week #2 of the OTF Transformation challenge went well. I was happy to get in another Lift45 class this weekend. I am enjoying focusing more on strength training this year. I also weighed myself on Friday and the numbers are slowly trending down so I am happy about that. I’m still using the LoseIt app to keep track of my daily protein goal and it has been super helpful.
…and now for this week’s memes/funny tweets.
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

A good week as ever, still in awe even though I’ve been absent from reading my running blogs for a few weeks after I got sooooooo behind! Love the memes, too, of course. My sleep hasn’t been good this week so I’m aiming for an early night tonight.
kookyrunner says
Sorry to hear that you haven’t been sleeping well 🙁 Hopefully this week is better for you.
Debbie says
Way to work hit your run/row workout despite a sleepless night prior. And yes, that does sound like an intense, yet fun class.
That egg meme… 🙂
kookyrunner says
The egg meme still makes me laugh lol
San says
Nice work, Kim. I am absolutely with you that January absolutely FLEW by. I can’t believe it’s almost February already.
Hey, do you have a system for how you keep track of Peloton classes that you enjoyed (and why)? Do you keep separate notes somewhere? I wish there was a way to keep notes with the workout or at least a “favorite” button alongside the “bookmark” button… because I often bookmark classes that I want to do in the future, but then have no way to keep track of classes that I really liked. Looking for some input from other Peloton enthusiasts 🙂
kookyrunner says
February starts on Wednesday – it’s crazy!
I don’t really have a system, but if I really like the class I will bookmark it so that it still shows up in my searches (Ill search bookmark and class taken to find my favorites). But you’re right – they should have a favorite button, just like they do for music.

I also hate when snack ish happens and I am not prepared! LOL This month did fly by for me too. Looks like you really crushed it this month all around
kookyrunner says
I still can’t believe that February starts this week – it’s unreal!
Wendy says
Nice week Kim! Sometimes I have the best runs or workouts after a restless night. Maybe it’s the adrenaline?
Have a great week!
kookyrunner says
I think it was definitely the adrenaline because that’s the only logical explanation lol.
Jenny says
Oh, we usually have plenty of snack foods in the house! That’s a funny meme though.
You had a great week of workouts! I’m glad the protein tracking is working well for you. I’m still doing it too, and I think it’s helping me. I hope you get some sleep this week!
kookyrunner says
We also normally have a lot of snack foods, like chips, but I’m trying to not keep them in the house so that I am not tempted lol
Darlene Cardillo says
Another great week of Peleton and OTF… I’m always in awe of all your workouts.
This week’s memes are the best ever!!!!!!
So true about snacks and the ingredients (I so hate to cook sometimes).
kookyrunner says
Thanks Darlene! I was happy with my workouts last week.
The meme about the ingredients always makes me laugh because that is my life for sure, lol.
Kimberly Hatting says
That Tupperware bowl! I have a few of those that are remnants (I think?) from my college days. They don’t get much use, LOL. I totally missed those SIX workouts (probably because I was focused on the JJ Split-3 workouts this week). I’m glad you shared them…I might need to take a walk with Matty later this afternoon/evening ;–)
kookyrunner says
We have some Tupperware from the 80s and it still looks good, lol. They don’t make products like that anymore.
Chocolaterunsjudy says
You do need to go to Bug Sur! It’s beautiful.
That’s great that you’ve been losing. Nice job!
As always a really solid week of activity.
kookyrunner says
big Sur is definitely on my bucket list!
Coco says
Those meme are great, especially the first one.
I haven’t done a bootcamp in ages — maybe I’ll try that one. I heard her newest had a whole TGU block.
I hope you have a great week!
kookyrunner says
Yup I heard about the TGU block in that bootcamp class – I’m not looking forward to taking that one, lol.
Susanne says
The mood ride cycling sounds very appealing!! What is it?
The top meme is spot on – totally how I react when I have too much to do!
kookyrunner says
There are a few different Mood classes – Happy, Grateful, Calm, Sad, Spicy, etc. Basically there’s a class for every emotion lol
Jenn says
Great week! Sleeplessness is the worst. Really.
I also love that Tupperware bowl. It was so good for EVERYTHING.
kookyrunner says
I think we still have Tupperware from the late 80s and I swear it’s indestructible lol
Marcia says
Lol on the vintage Tupperware! So many uses! Haha! Great week of workouts as per usual. Great job getting the scale numbers to trend downward. That is no easy task!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Marcia! Yes, definitely not easy considering how much I love carbs lol
Michelle says
This month did fly by! I’m hoping things slow down a little.
Another great week for you! Great that you’ve seen some progress with the Transformation Challenge – I’m still trying to improve my protein intake, but the struggle is real!
kookyrunner says
It’s really hard! I also don’t like to eat a lot of meat so that’s where the biggest struggle come in for me.
Lisa @ TechChick Adventures says
I hope the insomnia was just a passing thing! That’s not much sleep 🙁 Hopefully I have been bulking up since I’ve gone back to the gym because I was up 4 pounds when I stepped on the scale! I’m not too excited about that (unless it is just muscles!!). Most likely still all of the holiday treats 😆 Great job on the workouts this week!
