Happy Sunday! This week went by fast. but also felt like it took forever to get to Friday – how does that happen?!
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, March 13
WHM: Epic Sing Along Ride 3/10/23 – Jenn (30 minutes)
WHM Two for One Walk + Run 3/12/23 – Jess & Kirsten (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
Both of the WHM classes were super fun! Jenn had a few of the instructors in class with her and there was a lot of laughs and singing along. Jess and Kirsten’s class was amazing – such a great playlist and it was nice to learn more about their friendship.
Tuesday, March 14
Andalusia Ride (60 minutes)
EDM Run 3/8/23 – Matt (30 minutes)
HIIT Bootcamp 3/10/23 – Andy (30 minutes)
Whenever I take one of Matt’s classes, I always noticed how he makes running look effortless on the treadmill. I wish I could look like that, lol. This was my first time taking one of Andy’s HIIT tread bootcamps and I enjoyed it a lot. It’s a great class format if you are limited on time and want an intense workout.
Wednesday, March 15
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
Coldplay Ride 3/12/23 – Mayla (20 minutes)
Pop Run 10/27/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
Pop Punk Full Body Strength 3/13/23 – Callie (20 minutes)
Coldplay is one of my favorite bands so I knew I would like this ride. Didn’t really care for the inclines in the OTF class but luckily the treadmill blocks weren’t too long.
Thursday, March 16
Pop Ride 3/15/23 – Benny (30 minutes)
Walk + Run 3/13/23 – Jess (45 minutes)
Cool Down Walk 8/11/22 – Marcel M (10 minutes)
WHM Two For One Yoga Conditioning 3/15/23 – Kristin & Mariana (30 minutes)
For some reason I tend to struggle during my Thursday workouts, but this one wasn’t too bad. This was also the first time I took a yoga conditioning class and I found it really interesting. I will definitely try more of these classes in the future.
Friday, March 17
H.E.R. Ride 3/16/23 – Mila (30 minutes)
H.E.R. Run 3/16/23 – Hannah F (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – “Luck of the Draw” (60 minutes)
I don’t know too much about H.E.R., but I liked a lot of the songs that the instructors selected for their classes. I thought some of the songs were a little too slow for working out though. The OTF workout was wild – it was literally non-stop for an hour. Usually I don’t like partner or team workouts, but this one was fun and the class went by quickly since we had a lot of switching.
Saturday, March 18
BHM Celebration Run 2/17/22 – Adrian (30 minutes)
Spotify Happy Holidays Run 12/9/22 – Joslyn (20 minutes)
H.E.R. Bike Bootcamp 3/16/23 – Cliff (30 minutes)
H.E.R. Full Body Strength 3/16/23 – Jermaine (20 minutes)
Since it wasn’t raining when I woke up I decided to get outside for a run. It wasn’t freezing cold but it felt a little damp and windy so the run wasn’t too enjoyable. However, I really enjoyed Adrian BHM run – it was great to learn more about his upbringing.
Sunday, March 19
H.E.R. Core Strength 3/16/23 – Assal (15 minutes)
H.E.R Ride 3/16/23 – Tunde (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – Lift 45 (45 minutes)
H.E.R. Slow Flow Yoga 3/16/23 – Anna (30 minutes)
I have taken a few of Assal’s strength classes and I am enjoying them more and more. This core class was a burner for sure. The Lift45 class was REALLY good! So good in fact that I memorized the template so I can do it at home. I usually get between 0-2 splat points when I take a Lift45 class so the fact that I had 8 splat points speaks volumes lol.
This week’s stats:
Bootcamp – 0 minutes
Cycle – 44.8 miles
Orangetheory Fitness – 225 minutes
Running – 20.7 miles
Strength Training – 40 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 957/962*
*not including rowing classes
The OTF Transformation Challenge ended last Sunday so I did my final weigh-in/body scan on Wednesday. Originally I wasn’t too thrilled with the results, but felt better once I thought about the bigger picture. My stats were – 4lbs lost / 0.2lb muscle gain / decrease of 1.6% body fat. I don’t really care about the number for my weight since my weight fluctuates a lot, but I was hoping to see more muscle gain, especially since I’ve been way more consistent with strength training this year. But I’m not discouraged and will keep up with my strength training and keep working on dialing in my nutrition.
…and now for this week’s memes/funny tweets.
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Great week of workouts, Kim! That DST Starbucks meme… LOL

That Starbucks meme definitely has some truth to it lol
Deborah Brooks says
I feel lots of these memes this week! I am going to be doing lots more cycling classes so I will hit you up for ideas
kookyrunner says
Of course! I have some good cycle class recommendations – just depends on what you want from the ride (comedy, motivation, etc)
Chocolaterunsjudy says
OMG that bird meme! Sad but true (because we had a brief snow shower just now,. Sigh).
I would be ecstatic to lose 4 lbs. I just stopped weighing myself. I still eat healthy but . . . ugh. Post menopause caught up with me I think.
kookyrunner says
Yeah I stopped putting so much emphasis on the actual number a while ago, especially as I started getting more muscle, but still happy to be down 4 pounds!
Wendy says
Nice week for you Kim! My weight fluctuates too and I’ve noticed lately that when I really up my training, my body hangs on to lbs. Or maybe it’s because I’m swole AF? lol. Just keep doing your thing–your regimen is impressive!
That unicorn meme makes me lol every time!!!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Wendy!
The unicorn meme gave me many laughs because it’s usually how I feel on Fridays after the work week, LOL
Michelle says
Another solid week Kim! I always love your mix of Peloton classes and have bookmarked several to take. I’m really feeling all of these memes LOL
Have a great week!
kookyrunner says
Happy to provide classes to bookmark!
Jenny says
HA HA! That Starbucks meme.
Yes, I would be afraid to measure my muscle gain- I feel like I’ve been working hard and would end up disappointed. But- at least you had a gain! That’s good. You’re going in the right direction, so keep with it.’
That OTF class on Friday sounds fun! I love how you all wore your green.
kookyrunner says
The Starbucks meme has so much truth to it, lol.
Thanks Jenny – definitely true that a gain is a gain, even if it’s small.
Kimberly Hatting says
Solid week for you! I’m gonna do that H.E.R. core class as soon as I finish with the blogs tonight, so thanks for the recommendation. I’ve seen that spring ahead meme before, and it’s SO true!
kookyrunner says
Let me know how you enjoyed the core class!
Marcia says
Great job on the transformation challenge Kim! I’m on day 20 of no sugar and I’m feeling like it’s not paying off so much…although I know it must be. Haha! Love the memes! Feeling all of them right now!
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much Marcia! Wow 20 days of no sugar is no joke – kudos to you for taking on that challenge!
Darlene Cardillo says
ok these are the best memes yet.
Love your green outfits on St Patty’s day.
I stopped weighing myself years ago… I hate to see what my scale says when you stop running all the miles.
It’s not all about the number on the scale… you look great… How do you feel?
kookyrunner says
I will admit that the memes this week were pretty good, lol
Thanks Darlene – you’re so right that it’s not about the numbers on the scale. Right now I feel better than I did in January, so I will take that as a small win!
Jenn says
Wow! You packed in A LOT! Like A LOT.
I wish running was effortless in general. Never going to be me.
kookyrunner says
Ha, never gonna be me either. Running is still hard for me and I’m sure it looks like that when I do run, lol.
Coco says
Love the DST Starbucks. 😉
I started Hannah’s HER run and just couldn’t — I needed something more fun this week.
I really enjoyed Adrian’s BHM run. I don’t find myself choosing his classes much these days, but I love his voice. It resonates kindness and feels like a hug!
