Happy Sunday! My week was…interesting. As expected, work was a disaster. I’m a huge advocate for taking PTO but it always sucks coming back, especially coming back to unexpected pushed-up deadlines. Luckily all deadlines were met, even if I wanted to throw my laptop out of my window a few times, lol.
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, May 15
HIIT Run 6/25/19 – Jess (45 minutes)
Cool Down Walk 10/18/22 – Joslyn (10 minutes)
Mood Ride: Calm 6/23/21 – Hannah C (20 minutes)
Flash 15 1/28/22 – Jess (15 minutes)
I was happy I got my workout done early in the morning because the rest of the day was super busy. It was also my dad’s birthday so I had a hard stop at 5:00pm so we could take him out to dinner to celebrate.
Tuesday, May 16
Mood Ride: Spicy 2/14/22 – Mayla (15 minutes)
Mood Ride: Sweet 2/14/22 – Mayla (20 minutes)
API Heritage Walk 5/13/23 – Susie (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
The OTF template was very endurance like and spicy – I loved it!
I also completed my 400th walk.
Wednesday, May 17
Hills Run 6/10/19 – Jess (45 minutes)
K-Pop Ride 5/15/23 – Ally (15 minutes)
Glutes & Legs Strength 12/17/19 – Jess (20 minutes)
Bollywood Slow Flow Yoga 5/17/23 – Aditi (30 minutes)
Continuing to make my way through any of the 2019 classes I have bookmarked since Peloton seems to be doing purges of older classes even week 🙁 Between the hills run and the strength class, my legs needed some TLC so the yoga class was very necessary. I loved the playlist for the Bollywood yoga class and actually wrote own a few songs to download.
Thursday, May 18
Mental Health Awareness Ride 5/15/23 – Kendall (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
Mental Health Awareness Run 5/17/23 – Tobias (20 minutes)
I was happy to see that Peloton released new mental health awareness classes this week. Kendall’s ride was beautiful – definitely check it out of you can. I had a nice surprise for my OTF class – one of my favorite coaches was subbing! He normally teaches afternoon/evening classes so I rarely see him, so it was a nice treat.
Friday, May 19
Power Walk 5/18/23 – Jess (20 minutes)
Bootcamp: Arms & Shoulders 12/2/19 – Jess (45 minutes)
Bruce Springsteen Ride 5/18/23 – Charlotte (30 minutes)
Bruce Springsteen Yoga Flow 5/18/23 – Denis (30 minutes)
The bootcamp class was really good – very simple format, but hard. I’m not a Bruce Springsteen super fan but I do enjoy a lot of his music so I was excited to see this new artist series. Denis had a fantastic playlist for the yoga class, especially the last two songs.
Saturday, May 20
Bruce Springsteen Arms & Shoulders Strength 5/19/23 – Marcel M (20 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – “Rush Hour” (45 minutes)
The OTF class was nuts. So much switching so there was little to no down time. It was exhausting.
Today also started All Out Mayhem. We have to complete 4 out of the 7 classes to get the shirt for the challenge BUT I’m challenging myself to do all 7 classes. Wish me luck!
Sunday, May 21
Orangetheory Fitness – Amped Up (45 minutes)
Pop Ride 4/21/23 – Cody (20 minutes)
API Heritage Core Strength 5/21/23 – Emma (20 minutes)
Thankfully today’s OTF class wasn’t too bad. I opted to power walk for the tread block vs running. Cody’s pop ride featured music from boy bands so that was fun.
This week’s stats:
Bootcamp – 45 minutes
Cycle – 30.24 miles
Orangetheory Fitness – 210 minutes
Running – 14.8 miles
Strength Training – 75 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 996/1,007*
*not including rowing classes
Overall it was a pretty good week. I was glad I was able to get in a few 45 min run workouts since I haven’t done those in a while. Lately I haven’t been in the mood to run but I think that is slowly changing. Next week will be light on the Peloton workouts so I can get through All Out Mayhem workouts at OTF.
…and now for this week’s memes/funny tweets.
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Well, you had a great week of workouts! Good luck with the OTF challenge. And, going back to work after a week off is SO hard. Glad you got through it- hopefully next week will be easier.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Jenny! Yes, going back to work after a week off always feels so hard. It usually takes me at least one day to adjust to being back lol
Melissa says
All Out Mahem workouts sound intense– good luck!
Sounds like maybe your body needs a break from running and you’re getting enough activity in!
kookyrunner says
The workouts for All Out Mayhem have been very interesting this week! I actually feel bad for our coaches because they have to guide us through all the craziness during class.
San says
A solid week – although I can imagine it was stressful with work deadlines and catching up.
How do you usually go about picking your classes? It’s usually random for me (unless I follow a tracker and have “suggestions” LOL).
Happy belated birthday to your dad 🙂
kookyrunner says
That’s a great question! This week my Peloton workouts will be a little skewed since I’m going to OTF every day, but normally I just try to get in a good mix of strength, cycling and running/walking. Typically this is how much week pans out:
Running 6x week
Strength training 3-4x week
(If I do a tread boot camp I count that as part of my running/strength)
Cycling 4-5 days a week
OTF 3x week
Deborah Brooks says
The Bruce classes just might coax my husband to give peloton a try! What a solid week of workouts for you. Sorry your return to work was stressful. Happy birthday to you dad
kookyrunner says
Oh that would be great! I have enjoyed all the Bruce classes I have taken so far.
Coco says
Sounds like some Mayhem with your workouts too. You went all in on the tread with those 45 min Jess Sims classes! I’ve got Andy’s Bruce Springstein strength class in my line-up for tomorrow. I haven’t taken any others yet.
I hope work is quieter this week with your deadlines met!
kookyrunner says
This is the first year they are giving out shirts for All Out Mayhem and they are actually pretty nice! I think last year we got a water bottle.
I still have to take Andy’s Bruce strength class but I’ll probably do that on Sunday.
Wendy says
It’s always so hard to return to work after taking PTO. I work part-time and on Tuesday, I always have a ton of orders to sign and faxes to review. Ugh. Let’s not even talk about when i come back from an extended time off. Nice week of workouts and I’m sure you had plenty to sweat out!
kookyrunner says
So hard! My first day back I always tell myself that I need to win the lotto, lol.
Michelle says
Happy Birthday to your Dad!
Sorry the return from PTO was rough – frustrating when you can’t ease back into things.
All out Mayhem sounds like a great challenge – good luck with it!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Michelle! I’ll pass along the birthday wishes 🙂
Yup – super frustrating. Last week I was playing catch up all week but this week seems calmer, thankfully.

Kendall’s Mental Health Awareness class sounds intriguing! I haven’t done a Pelo cycling class for a few weeks because I’m trying to do as much outdoor biking as possible now that the weather is finally consistently. I need to bookmark that class so it stays on my radar. I have a tough time imaging Bruce Springsteen for a yoga class, though LOL
kookyrunner says
Definitely bookmark that class. I think because Kendall has dealt with a few mental health issues, she really speaks from the heart during those rides.
Liz Dexter says
Ah yes, the allergies! I’m without my Peleton classes at the moment although physio exercises take up a chunk of time on non-run days – I’m not allowed to do various stretches still while I deal with my scar tissue. Amazing work as always, sorry the job was hideous. I had a terrible week when I came back from my last holiday to 10 hour days so I do sympathise!
kookyrunner says
Ugh – 10 hours days are rough 🙁 I was doing that for about two months (March and April) but luckily now I’m back to normal 8 hour days.
Marcia says
Allergies are bad this year! I haven’t done any Bruce Springsteen classes yet. I’m not his biggest fan. Sorry reentry to work was stressful. Happy birthday to your dad!
kookyrunner says
I’ve heard from so many people about how brutal their allergies have been this season. Luckily we had a LOT of rain on Saturday, which I think did a great job of washing the pollen away so this week my allergies haven’t been as bad.
Darlene Cardillo says
It’s so hard to get back into work mode… And I only took Friday off.
I am always in awe of ALL your workouts!!!
My hubby’s bday was yesterday (while I was in NYC.)
kookyrunner says
Happy belated birthday to your hubby!
Chocolaterunsjudy says
Happy Birthday to your Dad, and I’m sorry that the re-entry into work was so rough.
Thanks for the mentioning the Springsteen workouts!
kookyrunner says
No problem! Let me know if you try any of those workouts!
Jenn says
Boo allergies!
We need your work to calm down! I hate that you had stress after time off!
Happy birthday to your dad!
kookyrunner says
Thankfully my allergies aren’t as nuts this week – fingers crossed that it stays that way, lol
Renée says
even with work stress you still manage to smash out your workouts. I’m so sorry going back was so stressful. it sucks!! so sorry about the allergies as well. UGH.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Renee! I think that sometimes I need the workouts to get out my aggression, lol.
Debbie says
Great week of workouts, Kim! Happy belated birthday to your dad!
You mentioned the Bruce Springsteen arms and shoulders strength class and now I’ve got the little kids song, “Head Shoulders Knees and Toes” being sung by Bruce (and in his style) stuck in my head. LOL
kookyrunner says
Thanks Debbie!
