Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone had a great week. As expected, this week was absolutely crazy at work since most people are taking off the last 2 weeks of the year. Luckily things calmed down by Friday so I was able to use that day to catch up on email and assignments. I am happy I was still able to get in my workouts despite the all the craziness.
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, December 14
Peloton Advanced Bodyweight Bootcamp 1/4/20 – Jess (60 minutes)
I can’t put into words how much I didn’t want to workout when I woke up but I knew I would feel better once it was over. I ended up having a super busy day at work so I was thankful that i didn’t put it off until later in the day because it wouldn’t have gotten done. Luckily this was a bodyweight bootcamp so I didn’t need any weights – my body needed a break from weights!
I also decided to rock my ugly Christmas sweater for my weekly communications call for work. It was a big hit. They asked us to wear our most festive outfit so I delivered.
Tuesday, December 15
Orangetheory Fitness – Endurance (45 minutes)
Peloton Bike Bootcamp:Core 10/19/20 – Jess (30 minutes)
I worked later than expected on Monday so I didn’t get a chance to write my Tuesday Topics post š The OTF workout almost killed me. It was a very hard endurance style workout with a lot of intervals on the treadmill with no walking recoveries, and the floor exercises were also really tough too. It was also Harry Potter Day at OTF and although I’ve never read the books or watched the movies, I still wanted to show a little spirit.
Wednesday, December 16
Orangetheory Fitness – Power (45 minutes)
Peloton The Jess King Experience Ride 11/21/19 – Jess King (30 minutes)
We had the 500 meter benchmark row at OTF. I was hoping for a time 1:40 or under but I didn’t quite make it. I was a little disappointed but I still earned a small PR. My coach told me after class that taking almost 1 second off my time in September was actually pretty good so I won’t kick myself too much for missing my goal. Although I didn’t hit my goal, my mom not only got a PR but she was first in her age group š
I did an older Jess King Experience cycle class because I had heard good things about it but I just couldn’t get into the class. Those 30 minutes felt long!
Thursday, December 17
Peloton Advanced Chest & Back Bootcamp 11/2/19 – Jess (60 minutes)
Another crazy hard bootcamp class with Jess. My arms were burning by the end of class. I don’t know how she manages to workout as hard as she does, while still talking us through the exercises.
We got a little under a foot of snow from Wednesday evening into Thursday morning, so it was the perfect day for an indoors workout.
Friday, December 18
Peloton Grateful Dead Ride 11/4/20 – Jenn (45 minutes)
Peloton Outkast Full Body Strength 12/3/20 – Adrian (30 minutes)
Peloton Year of Yes Walk + Run 12/15/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
You guys already know how I feel about the Grateful Dead classes, lol. Definitely not my type of music so 45 minutes feels like an eternity. I liked the Outkast strength class but I felt like he took too many breaks. I guess sI’m just used to Jess Sims and how she maximizing her time during classes. I ended up power walking the walk + run class since I wanted to give my legs a day off from running. It was a really good class with a great message about stepping out of your comfort zone.
Kim and I did decided to ride virtually, complete with our holiday attire, it was fun!
Saturday, December 19
Orangetheory Fitness – Endurance (45 minutes)
Peloton Bike Bootcamp: Full Body 9/29/20 – Jess (30 minutes)
Another crazy endurance workout at OTF. The treadmill block was just relentless and the floor wasn’t much better. We had a few 300 meter rows followed by a lot of rep for arm exercises. I was toast after class.
Sunday, December 20
Peloton Advanced Full Body Bootcamp 12/19/20 – Jess (60 minutes)
Peloton Hip Hop Run 12/20/20 – Adrian (20 minutes)
Peloton Elvis Yoga Flow 12/20/20 – Kristin (30 minutes)
As usual, Jess put together a killer advanced class with all of her favorite moves…which meant I was a puddle of sweat by the end.
After I finished the bootcamp, I hopped onto Adrian’s live hip hop run to celebrate my 100th Peloton Run, followed by a little yoga to give my body some TLC.
Total Weekly Mileage: 14.2 miles
Summary: 7 runs*, 5 bootcamps, 1 yoga, 2 cycle and 4 OTF/strength/HITT classes.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs.
Peloton Artist Series Classes Progress – 186/188
Grade This Week ā A
This week kicked my butt and I’m so tired! I’m looking forward to not doing much of anything for the rest of the day. Looking back at my classes this week, there were some really hard classes so I’m not surprised that I’m feeling tired today.
I did 2 more bike bootcamp classes this week so that I could earn the special bike bootcamp badge. I still much prefer the tread bootcamps but the bike bootcamps are still an awesome workout. Speaking of bootcamps, I am going to hit my goal of finishing all of Jess Sims 60 minute bootcamp classes before the end of the year – I only have 2 more left! š After I finish these, I’ll move on to her 45 minute bootcamps. Her bootcamps are definitely my favorite Peloton classes.
Earlier this month I ordered two funny ornaments from Etsy and I’m so happy they arrived this week. I think they are both perfect for 2020. I also ordered a Christmas blazer from Kohl’s and that finally arrived yesterday. Looking forward to rocking that for Christmas dinner.
…and now for this week’s memes š
That’s it! I hope you had a great week š
Iām linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
Lisa @ Mile by Mile says
Great job getting in your workouts even though work was so busy! Hopefully you will get a little downtime now. Those ornaments are perfect! The will definitely be a year to remember.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Lisa! I’m looking forward to a quieter work week since most people are already taking time off for the holidays.
Kimberly Hatting says
What a week! No wonder you’re craving some rest. That Grinch shirt! This is the first year I’ve heard the “resting Grinch face” saying, but it’s definitely been prominent this season. SO fun riding with you on Friday morning š I’ll always be a willing participant, so let me know when you want to do it again!
kookyrunner says
I love that Grinch shirt and thought it was perfect for this year!
Marcia says
Omg those are great ornaments! Glad they showed up in time. Seems like everything is lost in transit right now. That taco mask is looking pretty darn good right now…just saying!
kookyrunner says
I wouldn’t object to trying the taco mask, lol.
Coco says
You did a LOT of TOUGH workouts this week. I love that Resting Grinch Face top – so cute. I canāt even pick one meme. That work one could have been me every day last week. And you saw my Facebook post about my efforts to track my package.
Do you have off this week? I hope you have a relaxing week and enjoy the holiday.
kookyrunner says
I could totally relate to your post about your package. It’s so frustrating but all we can do is sit and wait š
I don’t have any time off except for Christmas Day and New Years Day, which is totally fine with me because it should be a quiet two weeks and I can get some work done.
Darlene S Cardillo says
What a active week of workouts. We got a lot more snow than predicted. Not a happy camper.
Those are great ornaments.
What fun doing a virtual ride with Kim H.
Happy Holidays to you!! Can’t wait to see you in that blazer lol
kookyrunner says
Thanks Darlene! I’m looking forward to wearing the blazer on Friday lol

Memes <3
Especially as Ice Ice Baby was playing in Old Navy.
Congrats on all the workouts in a hell week. We'll get through this all somehow
I love your outfits, and way to get into Potter spirit even though you're not interested. There's a ton of Harry Potter at Walgreens right now and I was surprised to see it.
kookyrunner says
Ice Ice Baby will never get old, lol.
Deborah Brooks says
wow I am so impressed by how many OTF and boot camp workouts you did in one week! You are a machine lately. Do you feel like you are so much stronger since you started incorporating them. OMG that tortilla mask! HIlarious. Have a great week ahead and merry Christmas to you all
kookyrunner says
I definitely feel much stronger, but I haven’t lost any weight – maybe I have more muscle now? lol. I do need to start taking more rest days though, but there are always so many classes I want to take lol.
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
Haha that last meme my husband told me about. Because yeah, I’ve had bizarr-o things going on with packages. Telling me they arrived . . . they didn’t, unless at a neighbor who’s now enjoying it. Taking more than a month — when ordered BEFORE black friday. And the one that sat here for a week, I emailed the company twice, no answer, and I think it got sent back. š Not on a winning streak here.
Sorry it was a tough week for you. As always, I’m in awe of what you get done in addition to working! All the shoveling this week . . . yes, soooooooo tired (2 ft).
kookyrunner says
Yeah USPS is really having difficulty delivering packages this holiday season. I feel bad for all of the postal workers but it annoys me that some of the companies/stores are acting like “oh no big deal, it will arrive eventually”.
I shoveled my car out on Thursday and that was for less than a foot of snow – I can’t imagine shoveling in 2 feet of snow!
Liz Dexter says
Another super strong week!
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much Liz!
Wendy says
Normally we are very busy this time of year with school physicals and what not but no one wants to come in, lol! It’s so weird but I did all my online shopping at work. And yeah, shipping is weird. I mailed a package last Tuesday, 2 day priority mail but yesterday got the tracking notice that it is going to be delivered on Tuesday. Guess USPS has a different calendar than me. Can’t blame the snow either since neither I nor the recipient got snow! LOL
kookyrunner says
Yeah USPS has pretty much been a train wreck this holiday season. Lesson learned for next year – I will just order gifts for people from Amazon to make sure they actually receive them in time!
Catrina says
Well done on earning the special bike bootcamp badge AND for finishing all of Jess Sims 60-minute bootcamp classes!!!
Great job, Kim. I admire your discipline.
I hope you will have an easier week, you really deserve to have a break at the end of 2020! It’s been a tough year.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Catrina1 I still have two more of the 60 minute bootcamps to complete before the end of the year but I’m confident I’ll do it!
Shathiso says
I knew something was up when I didn’t see your Tuesday post! Hope this week is a lot easier for you. And not surprised the Ugly Sweater was a hit! It’s awesome – can’t get more Christmassy than that I say!!
kookyrunner says
Yeah Monday was just so busy and the day completely got away from me, but I still loved reading all the posts that joined the link up š
Zenaida Arroyo says
What a week for you! So many fun workouts. What do you mean you have not read nor seen any Harry Potter books/movies?
kookyrunner says
The Harry Potter series just never really spoke to me lol.
Michelle @ Running with Attitude says
Wow, you took on some challenging workouts this week! I don’t blame you for feeling a little tired. You have inspired me to start taking the Bootcamp classes – congrats on completing all of Jess’ 60 min. classes!
Oh my gosh, I don’t know which I love more your ugly Christmas sweater or that new blazer! š
kookyrunner says
I love my ugly Christmas sweater but I think the blazer will become my new favorite, lol.
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
Great job on all of your workouts!
I love the “I’ll be home for Christmas” ornament – how true! I love your ugly sweater and you’re going to rock Christmas dinner with that blazer! Merry Christmas, Kim!
kookyrunner says
I thought that ornament was so fitting for 2020 – I really can’t wait until I can start traveling for fun/races again because I really miss it!
Jenn says
I hope work calms down a bit!
We are actually watching Harry Potter right now! I like the books better than the movies, but this will do.
We are wearing our ugly sweaters tomorrow after our hike. It’s going to be fun.
kookyrunner says
Can’t wait to see photos of your ugly sweaters! All of the the holiday clothing and decor is my favorite part of the holiday season.
Jessie says
Great ornaments! Great workouts! Great week! I can’t believe how much snow you guys received. I’ve seen the best videos of dogs in the snow from this blizzard š
kookyrunner says
Totally agree about the dogs! I’ve seen so many photos and videos of dogs loving the snow and it makes me so happy š
