Happy Sunday! This week felt super long so I was more than happy to see the weekend. Although work dragged on this week, I was absolutely loving the weather. Except for one day of rain, it was pretty perfect!
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, October 10
Reggaeton Walk 9/29/22 – Selena (30 minutes)
AFO Warm up Ride: The Beach Boys 8/20/22 – Leanne (5 minutes)
AFO Ride: The Beach Boys 9/20/22 – Leanne (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
The reggaeton walk was the perfect way to kick off my Monday – very fun and light-hearted. The rides were good but sometimes Leanne is too bubbly for me early in the morning, lol. The OTF class was pretty intense (I think all of their classes on Mondays end up being hard) but it was a great workout.
Today is World Mental Health Day and Peloton dropped a few new World Mental Health Day classes that I will take throughout the month. I always enjoy their mental health themed classes.
Tuesday, October 11
Latin Bodyweight Strength 10/7/22 – Erik (20 minutes)
Our Future Selves Run: Chris Paul 9/13/22 – Alex (30 minutes)
Our Future Selves Run 10/4/22 – Adrian (20 minutes)
AFO Power Flow Yoga: Muse 8/21/22 – Mariana (30 minutes)
Peloton dropped a new challenge for the Our Future Selves classes, so I switched up my stack to add these in. I actually had these classes bookmarked to take at a later day, but I can’t pass up a chance to get a badge, lol. I enjoyed both of the runs and learning more about Chris Paul and Adrian, especially what motivates them.
Today was also National Kimberly Day. No seriously, it’s a thing. It made me for special for the day, lol. Thanks for the reminder Kim š
Wednesday, October 12
Orangetheory Fitness – Tornado (60 minutes)
AFO Run: Muse 8/21/22 – Tobias (30 minutes)
Oktoberfest Ride 9/26/22 – Erik (20 minutes)
Latin Indie Yoga Flow 10/4/22 – Kirra (20 minutes)
The Orangetheory tornado style workout was spicy. It was hard to get my 12+ splat points because you only spent about 4-5 minutes at each station and then you would switch. In total we switched 9 times (!) and this was the first tornado style workout I’ve done since March 2020 so I think the studios are starting to slowly bring them back. Erik’s Oktoberfest ride was awesome! I really love style and always looks like he is having a blast when he teaches, especially for any specialty themed classes.
Thursday, October 13
Our Future Selves Run: Natalie Portman 9/20/22 – Becs (30 minutes)
AFO Ride: Muse 8/21/22 – Charlotte (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
The Our Future Selves run with Natalie Portman was really great. I have followed her career for a long time and it was nice to hear more about her charity work.
Friday, October 14
Bad Bunny Run 10/7/22 – Camila (30 minutes)
Bad Bunny Full Body Strength 10/5/22 – Rad (30 minutes)
Merengue Ride 9/29/22 – Camila (30 minutes)
Bad Bunny Yoga Flow 10/5/22 – Mariana (30 minutes)
This was a fun stack and a nice way to kick off my day! This was my first run with Camila and she didn’t disappoint! Such high energy, funny and a little silly, which is a great combo for a Bad Bunny run. I also enjoyed her Merengue ride because it had a great playlist. Rad’s strength class had a number of dance breaks – no complaints from me, lol.
Saturday, October 15
Oktoberfest Run 9/26/22 – Tobias (30 minutes)
Oktoberfest Ride 9/26/22 – Erik (30 minutes)
AFO Ride: Muse 8/21/22 – San (30 minutes)
Daddy Yankee Shadowboxing 10/9/22 – Rad (20 minutes)
The Oktoberfest classes are always so much fun! Tobias was full energy from start to finish on his run which made the class fly by. I finally finished up all of the AFO classes. Overall I found a few new artists that I liked and added some new songs to my playlist so it was a win-win.
Sunday, October 16
World Mental Health Day Walk 10/9/22 – Jon (20 minutes)
World Mental Health Day Full Body Strength 10/9/22 – Selena (30 minutes)
World Mental Health Day Ride 10/9/22 – Kendall (30 minutes)
World Mental Health Day Yoga Flow 10/9/22 – Kirra (45 minutes)
I’ll be doing this stack later on today.
Summary:
Running – 17.6 miles
Cycle – 42.12 miles
Strength Training – 80 minutes
Orangetheory Fitness – 180 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 828/845
There was a good amount of Peloton drama this week as a former instructor is currently suing the company for wrongful termination. The whole situation seems like it could be very messy so hopefully they settle it out of court. Peloton has been in the news a lot lately over the past few months. I’m sure that they would like to stay out of the news for a while.
Next week I’m only working three days and I am taking time off on Thursday and Friday. It will end up being a nice little break as I’m also off the following Monday for my company’s Mental Health Day off. I know I need this break because I really feel burnt out and I’m getting sick of logging in on the weekend to catch up on stuff.
…and now for this week’s memes.
That’s it! I hope you had a great week š
Iām linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Tuesday Topics: Dealing with Runner Burnout
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
Great workouts last week, Kim! And yay for an upcoming short workweek followed by some well earned time off!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Deborah!
Coco says
Oh, that next-to-last work meme hits a little too close!
I rarely opt for a ride with Leanne, but when I do I end up enjoying them. I still want to take her Beach Boys ride when Iām in the mood for that kind of music.
LOL on the Robin meme, but you know her lips are SEALED!
Enjoy your short week of work!
kookyrunner says
The work memes also made me LOL this week. It seems like we’re all kind of in the same boat when it comes to feeling overworked š
Oh to be a fly on the wall at Peloton right now!
Wendy says
Oh Kim, that last meme is everything! Last week we got an email that we are being asked to pick up shifts in the ER and hospital to help with the overwhelming influx of patients! No mention of pay, tho. Are we volunteering? Um no. Then we were told that we are going to have to see more patients to help offload the many who are heading to the ER. Um, that would be a big no. It’s just ridiculous. Why not hire more people? Well, they do keep hiring more management personnel…
Enjoy your time off! I too am taking vacation this week.
kookyrunner says
OMG, that’s crazy!! That is a lot to ask of you and your co-workers and very unfair. My team is small (5 people) yet we’re expected to produce/upkeep programming for our very global company of 20,000+ people. Even though we do good work, it’s very overwhelming at times.
Enjoy your time off next week!
Jenny says
Wait! There’s a National Kimberly Day??? How fun- I want a day! I also want a mental health day off but it’s not happening anytime soon. Glad you’re getting some time off though- your job sounds crazy.
Great job with the workouts this week- they sound fun and varied as usual!
kookyrunner says
LoL, I still can’t believe I get my own national holiday, haha.
Jessie says
Your job has been nuts lately! I hope it settles down going into fall. Enjoy the well-deserved time off!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Jessie, and I hope that you are starting to feel better.
Liz Dexter says
Great work this week! And ha to that last meme. Here’s workplace wellbeing day, follow this maze of pebbles on the ground and have a stress ball. Don’t spend too much time out of the office doing it, though!!
kookyrunner says
LoL at the stress ball – I guess all companies give those out š
Deborah Brooks says
LOL on the Robin meme! Wouldn’t that be ironic? It is going to get messy for sure. I am glad your office is giving that extra day off. I hope you have a relaxing week ahead!
kookyrunner says
That would be so ironic but I know she is probably like “keep me as far away from this as possible” lol.
Michelle says
Love that Robin meme š
Who knew that there’s a National Kimberly Day?! How fun!
Great to hear that you’re taking some time off – Enjoy it!!
kookyrunner says
The Robin meme makes me laugh each time I see it, lol.
Kimberly Hatting says
I think Tobias is awesome! He has a great Def Leppard run (I think?) that I have listened to many times for my walks and runs. I’m glad you celebrated National Kimberly Day with me <3
kookyrunner says
His energy is amazing! He always make me smile and laugh š
Marcia says
I’ve got to get going on the Our Future Selves challenge. I did very little Pelo workouts last week. Nice mix for you as always , Kim! Yikes on the drama! Enjoy your time off this week!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Marcia!
Darlene Cardillo says
These memes are the best ever.
I was so glad to have yesterday off from work.
We need that!!
Enjoy yours.
kookyrunner says
Totally agree – We all need a day off from work every now and then!
Jenn says
I forgot about World Mental Health Day. Oops.
Hope you have a wonderful little break! You’ve been working hard!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Jenn! I would have also forgotten about World Mental Health Day if not for seeing the Peloton classes, lol.
Lisa @ TechChick Adventures says
Well dang, I am out of the loop on the Peloton case. Great workouts this week!
kookyrunner says
So much Peloton drama – it’s hard to keep up!
