Happy Sunday! I was feeling the Fall vibes all week. Between the weather, all the Fall decorations around the neighborhood, and TV shot/movies, it finally feels like everyone is embracing the season.
Also, wishing everyone running the Chicago Marathon good luck today 🙂
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, October 3
AFO Run: Carrie Underwood 8/19/22 – Selena (30 minutes)
AFO Ride: Carrie Underwood 8/19/22 – Ally (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
#nevermissamonday. Finished up the AFO classes in the Carrie Underwood series. If you know me, you know I am not a fan of country music BUT I do like a few of Carrie’s songs – probably because she has more of a country pop vibe. The OTF class definitely leaned more toward power movements for the strength and treadmill blocks. According to my stats I spent almost half of the class in the orange/red zones which isn’t typical for me.
Tuesday, October 4
Bootcamp Warm Up 6/16/22 – Jess (5 minutes)
Saturday60: EDM 10/1/22 – Jess (60 minutes)
Cool Down Walk 7/21/22 – Joslyn (10 minutes)
Latin Yoga Flow 9/28/22 – Mariana (30 minutes)
Loved the EDM bootcamp class. Not my typical genre of music that I listen to, but it definitely worked for the class. I wanted to try something different so I did a yoga class before work. I was hoping it could bring some calm to the workday, which worked until about 10am but then I got super annoyed at something so my Zen was short lived, lol. Oh well, at least I tried!

This was the perfect meme for the day
Wednesday, October 5
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
Bike Bootcamp: Bodyweight 6/30/22 – Jess (30 minutes)
Our Future Selves Run 9/27/22 – Denis (20 minutes)
Standing Core Strength 11/15/21 – Rebecca (5 minutes)
Unity Full Body Stretch 10/3/22 – Assal (10 minutes)
That OTF class kicked my butt. It was majority body weight exercises on the floor and then long endurance blocks on the treadmill. With the bike bootcamp class I finished up the Fall Bootcamp badge challenge to get to the gold level tier. I really enjoyed the run with Denis and Ashton – I learned that Denis was a bit of a rebel in his younger years. I always enjoy learning more about the instructors.
Thursday, October 6
AFO Run: Rüfüs Du Sol 8/19/22 – Rebecca (30 minutes)
AFO Full Body Strength: Rüfüs Du Sol 8/19/22 – Adrian (30 minutes)
AFO Ride: Rüfüs Du Sol 8/19/22 – Jess K. (30 minutes)
AFO Cool Down Ride: Rüfüs Du Sol 8/19/22 – Tunde (10 minutes)
AFO Yoga Flow: Rüfüs Du Sol 8/19/22 – Nico (30 minutes)
Sad to say, but I didn’t really care for the Rüfüs Du Sol classes. I really tried to like them, but between the playlists and the structure of the classes, I just couldn’t enjoy them. Despite that, it was still a great workout.
Friday, October 7
AFO Run: Swedish House Mafia 8/21/22 – Susie (30 minutes)
AFO Ride: Swedish House Mafia 8/21/22 – Olivia (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
I’ve discovered that I like a lot of songs by Swedish House Mafia, so that’s been one plus of taking all of the AFO classes. Their songs have just enough beat drops to give you an extra push during a run or cycle class. The OTF class was more of a power style workout which was much appreciated because I was not in the mood for long pushes on the treadmill or lots of rowing.
Saturday, October 8
AFO Walk + Run: The Beach Boys 8/20/22 – Andy (30 minutes)
Flash 15 6/25/21 – Jess (15 minutes)
AFO Ride: The Beach Boys 8/20/22 – Mayla (30 minutes)
AFO Yoga Flow: The Beach Boys 8/20/22 – Denis (30 minutes)
I will call this my ‘chill’ stack. I wanted to get in some movement but didn’t want to do anything super hard (like a bootcamp class) so this was the perfect stack. I haven’t taken a Flash 15 class in a few weeks so I felt it was time to add that back into the schedule.
Sunday, October 9
AFO Warm Up Ride: Green Day 8/19/22 – Sam (10 minutes)
AFO Ride: Green Day 8/19/22 – Bradley (30 minutes)
AFO Ride: Green Day 8/19/22 – Charlotte (20 minutes)
AFO Post-Ride Stretch: Green Day 8/19/22 – Kendall (5 minutes)
AFO Power Yoga Flow: Green Day 8/19/22 – Kirra (15 minutes)
I’m going to do this stack later on this afternoon after I finish running errands today. It feels like a good day to spend some extra time on the bike.
Summary:
Running – 17.6 miles
Cycle – 29.83 miles
Strength Training – 50 minutes
Bootcamp – 90 minutes
Orangetheory Fitness – 180 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 818/840
Orangetheory is gearing up for Hell Week in 2 weeks. We still don’t know what the shirt will look like, but my studio is selling these reusable water bottles. I definitely don’t need another water bottle but this one was too cool to pass up!
Yesterday I went to That’s Amore Fest, a local Italian festival. I didn’t stay too long but it was great – live music and tons of yummy food. My parents got the sausage and peppers and I got pasta and gelato. There were other foods I wanted to try but I also didn’t want a stomachache for the res of the day, lol.
I was also able to pick up my favorite sauce.
…and now for this week’s memes.

This was me all week
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
In Case You Missed It
Tuesday Topics: Animals on the Run
That’s your best collection of memes in awhile, LOL!!! Seeing Tunde, above, made re realize I didn’t spend any time with her this week…UGH!!!! That hasn’t happened since I met her, last spring (?). That Hell Week water bottle is nice, how could anyone pass that up?
Hmmm, the only problem I have with your weekly rundown is I feel vaguely guilty while reading it- how in the world do you fit in all those classes??? I like the tidbit about Denis being a rebel- I can picture that. And I agree with Kim- i couldn’t pass up that water bottle either! Love your memes as usual.
See, you reminded me of why I don’t do Peloton. I’m so picky about music and what if they had a song or an artist I didn’t like in the workout? Lol
Loved your memes and that Barney one is me at work, lol
Great week of workouts, Kim!
Being in New England for the past week totally got me in the fall mood! Even though I’d put out my regular fall decorations before we left, I want to buy some more for my front porch.
wow you sure packed in a ton of classes this week! Impressive stacks! Very funny memes this week. I know you love hell week can’t wait to hear about it
I am suffering from FOMO over OTF hell week. I think it’s too late for me to re-activate my membership and sign-up, but maybe I should call and find out … With them dragging us back to the office I could get back to my old routine.
There are so many AFO classes I am just going to miss. I am excited that Peloton made a Collection out of their Halloween classes — I plan to take some of those this month.
That shirt FOMO is so real… and the pot. It’s true wince it’s only two of us and I make chili or stew for 8 LOL
Another active week for you. So many classes!!
That Tuesday meme was so me this week!
A great mix of workouts as always! I honestly don’t know how you fit it all in. That Hell Week water bottle really is too cool to pass up!
That barney meme, and yes, it was a long two dy week for me. Hope your next week is better. I hear you on fall, especially now that we dried out
I haven’t done the Carrie run yet but agree re: country pop. There’s a matty country pop one I think you’ll tolerate too.
I agree with you. I need another water bottle like I need another hole in the head but that sure is a cool one! Great job on all the workouts Kim! The Italian Fest sounds fun!
Great memes this week! Can you recommend a peleton instructor who does super-gentle yoga? I have a bad back and I have stretches from the physio but he also said I could do gentle yoga. I know I’ll pick one and then I’m tied into a pretzel suddenly! A good week anyway, well done!
Sign me up for the arancini! Yum! We have a Greek festival coming, but not Italian.
I need it to be a little more fall. We are close but not quite.
SO many classes Kim! What a week. Impressive.
Love the memes.
It looked like it was a good day for Chicago this year- lots of strong marathons!
Aside from work, overall sounds like you had a good week, Kim.. I think Mother Nature needs to exchange a few Winter months for Fall months, don’t you? 😉
