Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone had a great week. Can you believe that we’re almost halfway through the month? I feel like December just started.
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, December 7
Peloton Advanced Full Body Bootcamp 11/30/19 – Jess (60 minutes)
Another Monday, another tread bootcamp to start the week! I also ran a bunch of errands this day so I felt super accomplished š
Tuesday, December 8
Orangetheory Fitness – Strength (45 minutes)
There were a good amount of arm exercises on the floor and I was able to lift a little heavier so I was happy about that.
Wednesday, December 9
Orangetheory Fitness – Power (45 minutes)
Peloton Bike Bootcamp: Upper Body 12/2/20 – Tunde (30 minutes)
This was the first OTF class in a while where I liked both the treadmill and floor blocks. I felt like it was a true full body workout from start to finish. The bike bootcamp was good! I felt the burn in my arms for a few days after the class.
Thursday, December 10
Peloton Holiday Pop Run 12/8/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
Peloton Holiday Run 12/9/20 – Matty (30 minutes)
Peloton Holiday Bodyweight Strength 12/10/20 – Matty (20 minutes)
Matty is one of my favorite Peloton instructors and he’s also just such a fun person. He LOVES the holidays and he puts so much effort into any holiday themed classes and I really, really appreciate it. I hope he realizes how his humor and wit helps people, especially during this hard year. After these classes I finally started to feel the holiday spirit. The classes were fun and uplifting and full go really great holiday songs.
Friday, December 11
Peloton Nicki Minaj Ride 12/9/20 – Ally (30 minutes)
Peloton Nicki Minaj Full Body Strength 12/11/20 – Jess (30 minutes)
Peloton Hamilton Yoga Flow 10/16/20 – Ross (45 minutes)
I’m not a huge Nicki Minaj fan but I have to admit that these classes were pretty good. The strength class was brutal – I’m convinced that Jess was trying to kill me, especially the last 5 minutes of the class. Also somehow I missed this Hamilton yoga flow class so I took that later on in the afternoon.
Saturday, December 12
Peloton Pop Bike Bootcamp 10/21/20 – Cody (30 minutes)
Peloton 2000’s Tread Bootcamp 12/12/20 – Jess (60 minutes)
I’m still not 100% sold on the bike bootcamps (I prefer the treadmill bootcamps) but I do like them more than I did a few weeks ago. The 2000’s tread bootcamp was really good, especially the music. What wasn’t good was that the app was acting insane which caused me to log into the class 5 minutes late. Thankfully I only missed the warm up but I know of too many people that have had issues with the app during the live classes. Hopefully Peloton can fix this issue at some point.
Sunday, December 13
Orangetheory Fitness – Power (45 minutes)
This was a really fun class. We had a run/row block (basically alternating between the treadmill and the rower) which helped to keep my heart rate up. The floor block consisted of a bunch of power movements – header weights and lower reps. Overall the template was great today!
Total Weekly Mileage: 13.5 miles
Summary: 7 runs*, 4 bootcamps, 1 yoga and 5 OTF/strength/HITT classes.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs.
Peloton Artist Series Classes Progress – 183/185
Grade This Week ā A
Overall this week was good. Although I was technically off from work I did have to log in a few times Monday-Wednesday to finalize a few things for projects I’m working on. I hate when this happens because it doesn’t feel like I totally disconnect from work, but there’s nothing I could do about it. I have a feeling that this upcoming week will be super busy since it’s the last full week of work before people start taking off for the holidays. Wish me luck!
I’m happy to report that I’m finally feeling the Christmas spirit, although I have a list of about 10 things that are being held up by USPS due to their holiday delays. Anyone else experiencing super long delays with packages? I have one item that has been “in transit” for about 2 weeks now. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that everything arrives before Christmas.
…and now for this week’s memes š

This was me the first few months, but now I split my time between leggings and jeans

Accurate
That’s it! I hope you had a great week š
Iām linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
In Case You Missed It
Tuesday Topics: My Year in Bling
Those of us who wear jeans in quarantine are trying to come out of quarantine the same size as when we went in! I have a “strict” quarantine dress code of working in my jammies in the morning, getting dressed to walk the dog at lunch, and staying dressed through the dog’s 2nd walk after dinner.
You are so right! I still wear jeans whenever I leave the house which is usually to go to the grocery store. I just like to make sure that they still fit, lol.
That’s frustrating that some of your packages got delayed! I haven’t had that issue yet, but I did order some things from Shutterfly that will be cutting it close and I’m worried those will get delayed. Great job with your workouts this week!
I feel bad for USPS because I know they are short staffed and everyone is doing more online ordering this year. Hopefully they can possibly hire people to catch up with the demand.
I feel like I know Matty–everyone comments on his workouts! He must be a good instructor.
Ok, I was going to send you that grocery store/treadmill meme! LOL! I am still waiting on a few things to arrive, including a gift for one of the children that we are adopting for Christmas. UGH
Matty is such so much fun, especially around the holidays! You can tell he puts a lot of thought into his classes which I totally appreciate.
I saw the grocery store/treadmill meme in a running group I’m in on Facebook and instantly started laughing – so so funny!
wow you did a bike boot camp following an orange theory class! You are quite the bad ass. I am loving all of Matty’s fun classes lately. His 10 min core classes are my favorite
Matty is such a light! I hope he knows how much joy he brings to people, while also kicking our butts, lol.
Sorry you had to log into work, Kim. š Otherwise sounds like a good week! Not being Christian, I haven’t checked out any of the holiday classes.
I have had a lot of package snafus for sure. I had a Gap package — ordered BEFORE Thanksgiving — take 3 weeks. It sat in NJ for like 5 days. Just finally came yesterday.
I have another package that says I agreed to pick it up, which I most definitely did not. I have emailed (the small) company twice, very courteously, and so far no reply.
Luckily nothing that’s been held up is really that important. It pays to be Jewish around the holidays. š
Yes! Some of my packages have been in NJ or PA for over a week, and I know that the distribution center in Indy and Cleveland is really backlogged.
If anything, I’ll just print out a photo of the items if they don’t arrive in time so that the person knows that they are getting, eventually, lol.
My packages are definitely taking longer than hoped, but I can’t imagine how backed up USPS and UPS are…tough time of year!
I occasionally put on jeans, but honestly my husband likes to keep the house too cold for me so I wear warm sweatpants most of the work day, or leggings. Jeans are too cold!
Agreed! I know there must be a huge backlog, especially with so many more people opting to do their holiday shopping online this year.
I now only wear jeans when I leave the house, so normally 1-2 a week when I go to the supermarket, lol.
Great week for you, KimTwin š Glad to hear the holiday spirit has arrived <3 It's been such a crazy year, I think anything that arrives late (fashionably late or otherwise LOL) is totally acceptable in 2020 (or early 2021). Remember that when Christmas cards arrive from fellow friends…just saying š
Thank #kimtwin! Yes, I’m happy my holiday spirit decided to show up – I was sick of feeling like the Grinch.
LoL about the Christmas cards – I’ll keep that in mind š
I haven’t ordered a lot this year. Bah Humbug.
And yes, some help up for they are things that I ordered for myself.
I’m not Christian either but I LOVE decorating for the holidays and seeing others as well.
I feel bad for the USPS workers because I know they are working hard but they are just understaffed, especially with so many people ordering more things online this holiday season.
My daughter has a whole bunch of packages that have been sitting somewhere for 2 weeks and not moving. She thinks they’ve been lost. It’s so frustrating.
Omg those memes! LOL! I runfess I had the same thought about masks in the cold wind today. Lol!
Oh no š Sorry to hear that her packages have been sitting around for that long. Hopefully they get delivered soon or she can get a refund.
You had such a great week, Kim! I still need to do both those holiday runs. Was that Hamilton yoga with Ross? I did not like it all, mostly because I thought he talked too much! Iām doing bike bootcamps for that badge, but I do like the short core ones. I hope you have a great week again ā are you off after this?
I agree – Ross did talk a little too much during the yoga class. I’m also doing the bike bootcamps to get the badge, lol.
I’m working the rest of the month since the rest of my team is off, but that doesn’t bother me as it’s usually quiet the week between Christmas and New Years so I can catch up on work/get a lot done.
Great week Kim – I’m amazed you can do a bootcamp class after OTF! Wowza!
I am definitely going to be cutting it close on several of my packages…I feel for all of the UPS and USPS workers.
I have bookmarked a bunch of the holiday-themed classes and will definitely be taking all of Matty’s. Glad you’re feeling the holiday spirit š
I’m trying to get the bike bootcamp badge this week so I’m trying to fit them in where I can, lol. I can’t wait to do a lot of the holiday themed classes next week!
I wore jogging pants, shorts, and sometimes comfortable dresses these past couple of weeks. I miss Matty and Cody!
I should wear dresses too! I think that would make me feel like I’m more “at work”.
Good luck! I hope this next week isn’t too busy or rough!
Definitely an A based on what you’ve shared. It sounds like an awesome mix of classes and you’re doing so well with them. That would be super annoying to not be able to log into a class on time. I hope they fix that issue.
This week is gonna be crazy busy but one day down, 5 more to go, lol.
Ha – I love the jeans meme! I just bought some new tracksuit bottoms with fleecy linings! No jeans here …
A good strong week for you – you’re amazing!
Those tracksuit pants sound nice and warm!
Matty is just the BEST. I really would love to meet him iRL he seems like he’d be a total hoot to hang out with.
I miss OTF, but to be honest I’m really scared to go back. Based on my doctor and coach, they both think that doing too much sprinting in class is what led to my stress fracture, so I’m terrified if I resume taking classes that I’ll get another one. I think I’m gonna keep my membership on hold another few months and see where I’m at then. Maybe my brain will calm down in a couple months- it’s only been 2 weeks back to running after all, I’m probably just still paranoid
Same! I would love to grab lunch with him. He’s just a ray of sunshine.
Oh no š I hate to hear that OTF could have been a factor in your injury. It’s hard with OTF because you never really know what type of workout you’re going to get. I usually have to modify when we run on huge inclines so that I don’t aggravate an old knee injury.
