Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone had a great week. This week felt pretty long, probably because I was rushing to get a bunch of projects done by the end of the day on Friday. Also our weather was so temperamental this week – 25 degrees one day and then almost 60 degrees the next. Mother Nature needs an attitude adjustment.
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, November 16
Peloton Beyonce Bootcamp 11/14/20 – Jess (60 minutes)
Jess knocked it out of the park with this bootcamp! It was hard, inspiring, funny – it really was the whole package. I could see myself taking this class again at a later date.
Tuesday, November 17
Orangetheory Fitness – Endurance (45 minutes)
This class was a doozy! So much rowing but I guess that’s a good thing because it will help with my endurance.
Wednesday, November 18
Orangetheory Fitness – Strength (45 minutes)
Peloton Kim Petras Ride 10/28/20 – Cody (30 minutes)
Thanks to Michelle for this awesome tank that she got for me through the Blogger Gift Exchange! It definitely came in handy as we had sumo squats during the class. The music for the cycle class was just okay but Cody always makes any ride fun.
Thursday, November 19
Peloton Metallica Ride 11/18/20 – Kendall (45 minutes)
Peloton Metallica Full Body Strength 11/17/20 – Andy (30 minutes)
Peloton Metallica Yoga Flow 11/18/20 – Denis (30 minutes)
I’ll admit that I’m not the biggest Metallica fan but the instructors made these classes both hard and fun.
Friday, November 20
Peloton Hip Hop Run 10/20/20 – Jess (30 minutes)
Peloton Metallica Bootcamp 11/19/20 – Olivia (30 minutes)
Peloton Hot Country Yoga Flow 11/19/20 – Ross (30 minutes)
I used the Hip Hop run as my Pro Compression Fall Classic Virtual 5K. Originally I was going to do the 10K, but my body wasn’t feeling that distance when I woke up. I enjoyed the bootcamp but I’m used to the 60 minute bootcamps so I was craving more time with the weights. I needed a quick mental break during work and decided to take a yoga class during my lunch break. It felt good to decompress for 30 minutes.
Saturday, November 21
Orangetheory Fitness – Endurance (45 minutes)
Endurance workouts are the hardest for me but I always feel accomplished once it’s done. I spent most of the afternoon re-organizing a few things in my room and boxing up some items to donate to Goodwill. It feels good to have some extra space to work with!
Sunday, November 22
Orangetheory Fitness – Strength (45 minutes)
Peloton Hip Hop Ride 10/14/20 – Matt (20 minutes)
I love a good strength day, even if it involves some inclines on the treadmill. I was glad that today’s workout didn’t involve any lunges or squats because my booty is still sore from all the goblet squats during yesterday’s workout.
Total Weekly Mileage: 13 miles
Summary: 7 runs*, 2 bootcamps, 2 yoga, 3 cycle and 5 OTF/strength/HITT classes.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs.
Peloton Artist Series Classes Progress – 175/178
Grade This Week ā A
As with every other state, the Covid cases are increasing here in CT. I think we’re currently at 6% or 7% positivity rate. I’ve heard that things may start closing again once we hit 10%. One new development is that masks must be worn at all times at gyms (currently masks were only required when entering and leaving the gyms). Honestly I think this should have been the mandate when gyms re-opened in June. This doesn’t effect me as I’ve only taken mask required OTF classes since they re-opened, but now ALL classes will be mask required. I’m sure some members won’t like this new mandate but they will just have to deal with it.
Next week I’m off work (hooray!) so I’m hoping to get some stuff done around the house. I had about 2 weeks of vacation time to use up before the end of the week so I’ll also be off for a week in December as well. This break couldn’t come at a better time! Next week I’m planning on doing an OTF class (in my turkey costume) and possibly a 5K run if I have time. I’m really looking forward to celebrating the holiday and enjoying the food. What are you plans for Thanksgiving?
…and now for this week’s memes š
That’s it! I hope you had a great week š
Iām linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

I love those pro compression socks! So many fun ones.
OMG, the ice cream cone of 2020…yuck but so true.
Great week of workouts Kim! Love your squat shirt š
kookyrunner says
The ice cream 2020 meme is so so perfect, lol.
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
I love the shirt Michelle got for you in the blogger gift exchange. It’s awesome!
If 2020 was an ice cream flavor… HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa
kookyrunner says
I think it might be my favorite shirt in my workout gear collection!
Beckett @ Birchwood Pie says
A 6% positivity rate sounds pretty sweet right now. I think we’re at 15% up from 3% all summer. TG will just be me and the hubs, but we’ll have a good time. Even though a lot of things are closing down on the local level, the Turkey Trot is still on as an in person event.
BRB, I gotta send the wine mug meme to my coworkers.
kookyrunner says
It’s so sad that the rates were so good this summer and now they are skyrocketing again š I think we were at less than 1% this summer and now we keep increasing every week. If we have to do a second lockdown, I hope that people take it more seriously this time!
Kimberly Hatting says
That meme about the emails…we have a sales reps who notoriously gets busy late Friday afternoons, submitting all kinds of ASAP requests. A week ago, I logged off at 4:30, and this dude sent three requests (the first one arriving at 4:50, the other two at 5:30 and 6:30) and he “needed” all three back no later than this past Thursday…so, essentially two days earlier than usual. #EyeRoll Anyways, you really had a solid week of workouts! Was it the tank top? š
kookyrunner says
Those type of people drive me crazy! I love how they always wait until the last minute to send requests and then ask for things to be completed ASAP.
Deborah Brooks says
Thanksgiving will be different this year for sure. I am so thankful to have my kids home with us. The ice cream cone so true ha. Hope you have a few nice relaxing days off this week
kookyrunner says
The ice cream cone meme definitely fits the vibe for 2020 lol.
Wendy says
Your positivity rate is definitely behind ours. I don’t know what’s going on here in the Midwest!
Those memes are everything! Did you see the little owl they found in the Rockefeller Center Tree? OMG he’s too cute! That tree tho..Charlie Brown is looking for his tree…
kookyrunner says
I’ve been looking at the numbers in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, etc – it’s insane! I think they might be scared that we’re gonna skyrocket again like we did in April so they may be overly cautious right now.
I saw the Owl they found in the tree – that little guy definitely had quite the journey to NYC, lol.
Coco says
That first meme ā OMG! Thank goodness weāve had the internet, and Kindle books, and Amazon, and Peloton ….
Such a solid week, Kim! I really loved that Beyonce bootcamp. I think Iāve done everything but the yoga. š
kookyrunner says
Wasn’t the Beyonce bootcamp so good?! I missed the bootcamp yesterday but I’m going to do it on Tuesday. I heard it was pretty rough, so I’m mentally preparing for it now.
Lisa @ Mile by Mile says
I am also kind of surprised that gyms didn’t require masks all the time. Indoor activities seem like such a higher risk so it would make sense! (Unless you’re able to stay far away from other people the whole time). I have a virtual race this week and no real plans for Thanksgiving. It will just be the 3 of us and I’m going to attempting to cook a turkey for the first time ever…
kookyrunner says
Good luck with the turkey on Thursday. I’m sure it will turn out great!
Zenaida Arroyo says
Just like Iowa Kim, I am impressed with all of your workouts. Running alone wears me out. But I do know that I should be doing more.
My favorite meme is the wine in the coffee mug. Haha!
Enjoy your week off! I wished we were off the whole week too.
kookyrunner says
Thanks! I am focusing more on shorter runs for now but I really need to get back to do longer runs.
Michelle @ Running with Attitude says
That Ice Cream meme is the best!
I’m so impressed with all of the OTF workouts you’ve been doing with a mask! I just don’t think I could manage. Numbers are rising here too and masks are now mandated in all the gyms. Sadly I think we’re headed for a shut down again š
Enjoy that Squats shirt š
kookyrunner says
I wonder how long the gyms will be able to stay open here as well. The mask mandate is great but it cases keep rising, they are gonna have to close again. All I can say is thank goodness for Peloton!
I got a lot of compliments on the squat shirt during class lol
Darlene S Cardillo says
I always look forward to your memes.
Our cases are rising as well.
Love that shirt and socks!!
Happy Thanksgiving to you!
kookyrunner says
Hope that you have a great Thanksgiving too!
Lisa @ TechChick Adventures says
That tank top is awesome! Great workouts this week. I have the week of work too, but looks like I’ll just be avoiding my family members (quarantining) so yeah, I guess this might just be a productive week after all! š I wish we were decorating the house for Christmas though. We’ve got the time!
kookyrunner says
That sucks about having to quarantine š I hope that you and your family stay healthy and safe!
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
Love that top, Kim! Michelle knocked it out of the park.
As always, love the memes, too. Enjoy your Thanksgiving and your vacation, too, Kim!
kookyrunner says
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving too!
Marcia says
Congrats on a great week Kim! OMG that’s such a great tank. I think they should just leave the hideous tree as is. Sign of the times. Our positivity rate was almost at 13% but now I think we ticked back down to 11. Still. Ugh.
kookyrunner says
I heard that the tree was getting some lower limb “extensions” to make it look better, lol. The whole thing just makes me laugh.
Jenn says
I pretty much live for your collection of memes and gifs!
You are rocking it with your workouts! I think you are totally ready for the holiday! I plan on carb loading like it’s my job.
kookyrunner says
I really can’t wait for the carb Olympics to start on Thursday, lol.
Liz Dexter says
What an amazing tank top, I am loving seeing the gift exchange working so beautifully! And well done on another strong week. Hope you’re enjoying your week off right now!
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much Liz. I was so happy with the tank that Michelle got me!
Anne says
OK, you’ve left me wondering. Metallica and… yoga??? How did that go? The Beyonce workout sounds fantastic. Wow. (I’m not on Peloton, but you and others love it so much I may need to give it a go…)
kookyrunner says
The Metallica yoga class was different, but I definitely enjoyed it!
