Happy Sunday! How was your week? I still can’t believe that 2020 is over and that we’re now in 2021. Of course, nothing has really changed yet but hopefully this year will be much better than the last!
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, December 28
Orangetheory Fitness – Strength (45 minutes)
Peloton Top 50 of 2020 Ride (#50-41) 12/26/20 – Emma (30 minutes)
The strength day workout at OTF had tons of inclines on the treadmill, which I hate, but there was also an opportunity to lift heavier on the floor which I loved so it all worked out! Peloton also released their Top 50 of 2020 rides – the classes feature the most liked songs from the year. There will be 5 rides total.
Tuesday, December 29
Orangetheory Fitness – Power (45 minutes)
Peloton Top 50 of 2020 Ride (#40-31) 12/27/20 – Leanne (30 minutes)
Another awesome OTF class – they have been killing the workout templates lately. We ended the class doing 3 different versions of burpees and it wasn’t that bad!
Wednesday, December 30
Peloton Advanced Chest & Back Bootcamp 12/21/19 – Jess (60 minutes)
Peloton Top 50 of 2020 Ride (#30-21) 12/28/20 – Alex (30 minutes)
I finally completed all of Jess Sims 60 minute bootcamps available on the Peloton app. I’m proud of myself for getting through the classes this year. I still plan on taking her weekly 60 minute bootcamps next year (she does them every Saturday). Next up – complete all of her 45 minute bootcamps on the app.
Also, I’m really enjoying the Top 50 of 2020 rides!
Thursday, December 31
Orangetheory Fitness – ESP (45 minutes)
Peloton Top 50 of 2020 Ride (#20-11) 12/29/20 – Cody (30 minutes)
Peloton Top 50 of 2020 Ride (#10-1) 12/30/20 – Kendall (30 minutes)
Goodbye 2020 – we won’t miss you! Happy to end the year with really good workouts. At OTF we had a “countdown” workout so we kept counting done the reps on the floor from 10-1 and on the treadmill we started at a 10% incline and then worked our way down. It was a tough, but great workout. The Top 50 of 2020 rides were a lot of fun – Cody and Kendall are always a fun time on the bike. I was wiped out after these workouts!
Friday, January 1
Peloton Trap Bootcamp 7/22/19 – Jess (45 minutes)
Peloton Flash 15 12/11/20 – Jess (15 minutes)
Happy New Year! It was great to start off the year with these two classes – lots of fun but also hard and a great workout. I always look forward to my New Year’s Day workouts because I feel like it sets a great intention for the year ahead.
It was also nice to kick off the year virtually with all of these lovely ladies!
Saturday, January 2
The Beatles Run 12/25/20 – Becs (45 minutes)
The Beatles Ride Vol 1 12/25/20 – Leanne (30 minutes)
The Beatles Strength 12/25/20 – Ben (20 minutes)
Peloton added a bunch of Beatles classes for their Artist Series so I decided to take those for a nice stack of classes. Surprisingly I know a bunch of Beatles songs so the classes weren’t bad. I don’t take many classes with the UK instructors (Leanne and Ben) but I love their personalities.
For the ride I caught up with these lovely ladies via a Zoom virtual ride. It was nice to workout and chat. I really hope to see everyone at some point this year. I miss meeting up with friends at races.
Sunday, January 3
Calvin Harris Run 12/31/20 – Olivia (30 minutes)
Calvin Harris Ride 12/30/20 – Ben (30 minutes)
Calvin Harris Full Body Strength 12/31/20 – Matty (30 minutes)
When I taught spin years ago I would always have Calvin Harris songs on my playlist so I was excited to take these classes. I love his music and the instructors played a lot of my favorites. There were a few moves in the strength class that I haven’t done before so that was a nice surprise too.
Total Weekly Mileage: 16 miles
Summary: 7 runs*, 1 bootcamp, 7 cycle and 6 OTF/strength/HITT classes.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs.
Peloton Artist Series Classes Progress – 196/202
Grade This Week – A
I am happy that I was able to start off the year with a few strong workouts. I’m also going to make a real effort to do a warm up and cool down after my workouts this year – this is something I absolutely need to keep doing all year long. I’m also working on adopting a more positive outlook for 2021 and I feel like I’m off to a great start with that as well.
On Thursday night I was curious about my yearly mileage so I clicked into the Garmin app and saw that I was at 799 miles for the year – ugh! I wish I had checked earlier because I would have ran an additional mile to hit 800 miles, but I had already showered and started drinking so I just let it go, lol.
I found out about this cool new app called Pelotrak. It’s still in beta testing mode, but you can learn more about it here. I love data so it was nice to see all the different stats pulled together for the year. Here’s some of the great information I was able to pull.
I mentioned last week that one of my Christmas gifts was a new desk. My dad and I put it together this week and I love how it looks. It’s an L-shape desk so it’s a great space solving option for my room. Now that I’m going to be working from home permanently, I wanted to make the space more inviting. I’m going to add some artwork to the wall eventually to complete the look. Here are a few photos:
For reference, here is a photo of my old work station – it was nice and compact but I really needed more space!
…and now for this week’s memes 🙂
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

great memes as usual – always make me smile.
Love your office space. I am in denial that I am still working from home…I haven’t changed a thing. Lucky I already had a separate room with a computer.
I did the Beatles run too! Outdoors but I was alone luckily so I cold sing along.
Excited to now have a bike (not a spin one ..yet). I plan to use it on non-running days.
Happy new Year!

Happy New Year!
I’m happy that people still like the memes – they make me smile too 🙂
I was definitely in denial about working from home permanently but last month I decided that I need to come to terms with it and update the space so that I could be more productive.
Becs did a great job with the Beatles run!
Lisa @ Mile by Mile says
Your new desk and workspace looks great! I have an L shaped desk in my home office. I had to turn it away from the wall because the window was behind me and I looked orange on conference calls lol. But its so nice to have alot of desk space! Great job finishing off the year strong! Sounds like 2021 is off to a good start for you!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Lisa! I will test out the desk tomorrow and hope it goes well, but I know I love the look of it, lol.
Deborah Brooks says
As always your memes made me actually LOL. Love them. You sure had a strong year despite the challenges. Love the photo of you and your mom. That app sounds so cool so of course, I know want it!
kookyrunner says
The app was so cool! It was nice to see all the data laid out like that. I hope that it comes out of the beta phase soon so more people can download it.
Cari says
Love the new desk. And of course our black and white friends adorning it. I was thinking about replacing my desk but not sure about the logistics in a walk up. It’s so important to take care of our selves and spaces
Isn’t data just the best? Congrats on an amazing year.
kookyrunner says
I was so excited that I could finally display my penguin family that I had on my desk in my office lol. I always like to have them out on display – it brings me joy.
Beckett @ Birchwood Pie says
No worries on the 799 miles, you can always run the extra mile next year! Or leave it in 2020. Happy New Year!
kookyrunner says
LoL that’s an excellent point!
therightfits says
I love that you have natural light in your office! My husband moved his home office to the basement and I’m kinda worried about his mental health without any sun!!
Happy New Year Kim!
kookyrunner says
Luckily I have a window right above my desk, which is a huge contrast from my cubicle in the office with no sunlight!
Cooc says
I’ve taken a few of Leanne’s classes and really like her. Her Beatles ride was great – so many fast-paced songs kept me going. I did Matty’s Calvin Hall workout yesterday and it was tough — but I think Matty’s classes tend to be hard.
Your WFH space looks great. My husband got me a new keyboard stand for my set-up. It’s so much better than the random side table I was using ….
kookyrunner says
I really like Leanne’s personality – super upbeat and bubbly! I still need to do Denis Beatles ride which I’m sure will be awesome.
I haven’t done too many of Matty’s strength classes but I think I will try to do them more often – I really liked it!
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
Love the skylight over your desk (and all the penguins). We have an L desk too. Not quite as large & pretty beat up from a certain someone (not me).
So many workouts, Kim! I have to LOL at you saying you were surprised you knew most of the Beatles songs ( I really liked Leane, btw) — the soundtrack of my childhood. Of course there’s plenty of music on Peloton I have no clue about.
Too bad about the 799!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Judy! I’m happy to have the penguins back on my desk now that I have more room. The 799 made me laugh – for that to happen was so 2020, lol.
Marcia says
Omg those memes! Hilarious as always! Love your office space and that massive skylight! My playroom turned she shed has no door and it get SO loud because the Caveman apparently feels the need to shout on all his Zoom calls. You’ve slayed all those Peloton workouts!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Marcia! I’m lucky that my room has a skylight – it makes for great natural light during the workday!
Kimberly Hatting says
Your new work space looks great! Nice desk, and all the penguins look right at home 😉 You’ve helped inspire me to dress up my workout space in the basement. Since I’ll be spending a lot more time down there (cycling with Sebbe), I want it to look more official than just a last-resort stash of equipment. Stay tuned…
kookyrunner says
If you’re looking to dress up your workout space try searching on Etsy. I know many people that have gotten cool motivational posters, etc for their workout spaces.
Wendy says
That Calvin and Hobbs speaks to me! I am definitely a wing it kinda gal. Worked out well for me in 2020. Who knows what the new year will bring.
I love your new home office! It looks like a great set-up. When I was working from home, I was at the dining room table. It was fine but the chair was uncomfortable AF!
kookyrunner says
Luckily I was able to grab my chair from the office back in April. Before that I was using a dining room chair and it was killing my back!
Michelle @ Running with Attitude says
Your memes always make me chuckle – thank you for that! 😉
You just continue to crush your workouts! I definitely want to check out the Calvin Harris classes this week. That Pelotrak app looks so cool – nice to have those stats.
Your new home office set up looks great! That skylight is huge – so nice to have that natural light. And your penguin collection is adorable.
kookyrunner says
You’re welcome – I’m glad the memes can make you laugh. I think we could all use some additional laughter 🙂
I really enjoyed all of the Calvin Harris classes. Some of the same songs were used in more than one class, but it’s fine because his songs are all so good! I’m so happy tp have my penguin collection out of the box and back on my desk!
San says
Happy New Year. Looks like you’ve been just continuing what you’ve been doing into 2021 🙂 Kudos!
The Pelotrak App sounds amazing! I’d love to try that out.
I also love your new work area. I definitely need some more space eventually… I am working from the corner of my living room right now.
kookyrunner says
Happy New Year San! I was really happy to stumble on the Pelotrak app – super cool to have all of that data.
Zenaida Arroyo says
I love your desk! I am sure the extra room/space helps as well. Mine is a good size but I have so much stuff that I use for school. That is great data you got from the apps. Of course Cody is on that list! My favorite meme is the first one. 2021 has an easy job.
kookyrunner says
I’m so thankful for the desk and love using it do far!
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
It was great running “with you” on NYD and I’m sorry I had to miss Saturday’s ride. Next time!
Your new work space is fabulous! How nice for your parents to get you the new desk. And as always, love the memes!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Debbie! I was so thankful that my parents got me a desk for Christmas because I was having a hard time deciding on what to get so they made the decision easier, lol.
The Accidental Marathoner says
I swear I think I’m going to be the last person to hop on the Peloton train. Definitely starting to get the FOMO.
I love your desk! It’s so nice to have room to spread out and work on different projects.
kookyrunner says
Yes! Yesterday was my first day using the new set up and it’s 100X better.
Jenn says
Seriously didn’t even know there WERE three kinds of burpees!
I love your desk, your armchair, AND your skylight. It must be so nice to get so much sun during the day!
Happy New Year!
kookyrunner says
Hahaha right?! Apparently there are tons of different burpees that I didn’t know about.
Lisa @ TechChick Adventures says
I was hoping you’d have some good memes this week, and you delivered! thanks as always 🙂 Very solid week of workouts! That new desk is really great. I’m sure it feels refreshing and inspiring to stretch out a bit!
kookyrunner says
I’m happy to deliver funny memes as I find them, lol. The desk has been working great so far – two days of using it and I really love the extra space!
Liz Dexter says
Lovely to see all the ladies on all the blogs! I didn’t do a post in the end as got so down about people disobeying the lockdown in the parks I run through. Anyway, a great strong week for you and love the memes as ever!
kookyrunner says
It’s so sad to see people still not taking this virus seriously and still gathering in groups, etc. I don’t know what it will take for people to finally get the seriousness of it.
Montana @ Pretty Lil Mudder says
I’m SO JEALOUS that you can use the Pelotrak app! I don’t have an iPhone or Apple products and that’s the only platform it’s on right now. Low key, I actually thought about trading my phone in for an iPhone just to get access to that app- that’s how data obsessed I am! I did it on my own though and I have a pretty good mix of favs: Matty first and then it’s kind of a tie between Becs, Olivia and Selena for #2 spot.
I have the Calvin Harris strength class on tap for tonight, I absolutely LOVED Olivia’s run with it! So impressed by your dedication to the bootcamps- Jess is no joke and you’ve killed it this past year with those! Let’s “meet” virtually for a Peloton workout soon!
As always- love your memes. Especially the one where it says 2020 you have ONE JOB lol.
kookyrunner says
I hope that the Pelotrak app will be available for android soon. I know it’s still in beta testing now but it’s been so popular that they should make it available for both Apple and Android! i love that you still did the analysis on your own!
Matty did a nice job with the Calvin Harris strength class – he even through in some moves that I’ve never done before! Totally down for a virtual Peloton workout soon!
