Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone had a good week. I’m feeling just a little more energized after taking Thursday/Friday off from work. I still feel kind of low energy/rundown but not really sure why. Hopefully the feeling will pass soon.
Here’s how my workouts went this week.
Monday, August 23
Orangetheory Fitness – Endurance (45 minutes)
Recovery Run 6/19/19 – Jess (20 minutes)
Big Band Ride 2/27/20 – Leanne (30 minutes)
HIIT Cardio 7/1/20 – Jess (10 minutes)
Core Strength 10/11/19 – Matty (10 minutes)
Another endurance day at OTF. I’m honestly so sick of all the endurance days at OTF – we need a break! The recovery run was perfect after class. I’ve been taking more rides with Leanne lately to earn a few badges and I like her more and more. She is so positive and encouraging – like a big cheerleader! I need that sometimes, especially in the morning.
Tuesday, August 24
Orangetheory Fitness – Strength (45 minutes)
Pop Ride 3/17/20 – Sam (20 minutes)
90’s Pop Ride 2/27/20 – Erik (20 minutes)
Core Strength 4/9/21 – Matty (10 minutes)
Hills Run 7/23/19 – Jess (20 minutes)
The treadmill portion of the OTF workout felt more like an endurance day vs a strength day so I wasn’t too happy about that. Erik had a really good playlist for his 90s ride – it was like taking a trip down memory lane. The hills run wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. I really don’t like running hills or any inclines but I know that they will make my legs stronger.
Wednesday, August 25
Orangetheory Fitness – Power (60 minutes)
Pop Ride 1/23/20 – Irene (20 minutes)
Low Impact Ride 2/6/20 – Sam (20 minutes)
Arms & Light Weights 6/3/21 – Cliff (10 minutes)
Core Strength 11/4/19 – Matty (10 minutes)
Yoga Flow 4/30/21 – Mariana (30 minutes)
We finally had a power day at OTF which made me extremely happy since those days tend to focus more on heavier weights and explosive movements. It was nice to gave a break from the endurance style workouts. I loved the playlist that Sam used for his low impact ride – it was just what I needed!
Thursday, August 26
90s Bootcamp 5/30/19 – Jess Sims (45 minutes)
Core Strength 12/18/19 – Matty (10 minutes)
Eric Church Ride 8/25/21 – Hannah C (30 minutes)
Woke up feeling sore and tired so I didn’t end up completing my full stack for the day but I was happy with these 3 classes. I have to say, 2019 Jess was a kinder, more gentler Jess lol. I think she went full on badass sometime in 2020 and never looked back.
Friday, August 27
Core Strength 12/19/19 – Matty (10 minutes)
Eric Church Run 8/26/21 – Selena (30 minutes)
Eric Church Bodyweight Strength 8/23/21 – Callie (20 minutes)
Intervals Ride 2/25/20 – Erik (30 minutes)
Spotify Disney Hits Yoga Flow 8/26/21 – Aditi (30 minutes)
The Eric Church classes were..painful, lol. Oh the things I do to earn Peloton badges! The classes were fine but the music just wasn’t my thing. The yoga class was really cute! I’m not a big Disney fan but it was a nice way to unwind after a long week.
Saturday, August 28
HIIT Ride: Live From Home 5/2/20 – Leanne (30 minutes)
Big Sur Scenic Class – 1 mile
Saturday60: Full Body Bootcamp 8/28/21 – Jess (60 minutes)
Post-Run Stretch 2/23/21 – Adrian (5 minutes)
Core Strength 8/22/21 – Matty (10 minutes)
Another great class with Leanne. The Saturday60 class was a spicy one! The treadmill portion alone had 25 intervals. It was brutal but I got a pretty big PR so I was happy about that π
Sunday, August 29
New York City Scenic Class (10 minutes)
French Alpine Lake Scenic Class (15 minutes)
Core Strength 8/21/21 – Rad (10 minutes)
Intervals Ride 3/3/20 – Ben (45 minutes)
Fit Family Strong HIIT Cardio 4/3/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
I decided to do a little bit of everything today and took a day off from running which my legs very much appreciated, especially after yesterday’s workout.
Total Weekly Mileage: 15 miles
Summary: 8 runs*, 9 cycle, 2 bootcamps, 2 yoga and 13 OTF/strength/HIIT classes.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs.
Peloton Artist Series Classes Progress – 386/389
Not too much to report this week. I was glad to have two days off work which allowed me to get a lot of stuff done, freeing up my weekend. It was nice to have a weekend totally free where I didn’t have to run a bunch of errands, go grocery shopping, etc.
I was watching the news this morning and kept thinking about all of the people in the path of the latest hurricane. It’s so heartbreaking because I feel like people living in Louisiana have to deal with the threat of a major hurricane every year. I hope that everyone is able to stay safe down there.
…and now for this week’s memes
That’s it! I hope you had a great week π
Iβm linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

pumpkin spice mask too funny! I would not be surprised if we actually saw these. Glad you got to take a few days off. Hope you feel renewed and less stressed. Last week of Matty’s core challenge!
kookyrunner says
I think I would buy a pumpkin spice mask, lol.
Jenny says
Ha ha! I want to put that woodchuck meme up at work (I’m a massage therapist.) And that Super Mario meme- living in Florida, it always feels like the sun is trying to kill us. Sounds like you had a great week of workouts as usual- I hope you start this coming week feeling rejuvenated!
kookyrunner says
LOL you should print it out and put it up at work – it’s perfect π
I don’t think I could ever deal with the Florida heat and humidity – it’s a lot!
Wendy says
We had some crap going on at work a few years ago where the males were receiving preferential treatment. I can’t remember the meme, but I printed out one and posted it it the kitchen one morning (anonymously). So yeah, DO IT!
Coco says
Oh, that Viagra meme! But the errand meme hits closer to home β¦.
You are killing it with your workouts! I agree that Jess is tougher these days. I enjoy doing her older strength workouts β they are NOT easy but they donβt have as many plyo moves and she likes lately.
kookyrunner says
The viagra meme is just too funny – I’m still laughing at it, lol.
Yes, Jess does a lot more plyo moves these days. For the most part I’m okay with them but sometimes it’s overkill!
Lisa @ Mile by Mile says
Great job with your workouts! Glad you could take a couple days off to get some things done. I’ve had some time off this summer which has really helped me get caught up on life.
kookyrunner says
A few days off definitely helped me to catch up on some things which I really appreciated!
Wendy says
Your workouts always look so intense!!! I actually don’t mind Eric Church–I don’t like much commercial country, but at least he doesn’t sing about beer, beer, truck, truck…did you see that TikTok video? You have to check it out, lol.
Glad to hear you had some time off to get things done. I only work 3 days per week and my days off are filled with errands and doctor’s appointments. It’s amazing how little time I seem to have. How did I even work full time?
kookyrunner says
From what I could hear of his songs, they weren’t that bad. I haven’t seen that TikTok video so I will need to check it out, lol.
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
It’s fantastic that you were able to take Thursday and Friday off from work – sounds like you enjoyed getting lots of stuff done! Love your memes as always!
kookyrunner says
Yes, it was great to have those two days off!
Michelle D. says
That Pfizer meme is priceless!
I chuckled at your Jess observation – I’ve done a couple of her older workouts and you are so right, somewhere in 2020 she flipped a switch! LOL!
I’m glad you were able to take a couple of days off. I hope you’re back to feeling more energized soon. Hang in there!
kookyrunner says
Right?! I feel like Jess really turned up the difficulty in 2020 for sure.
Cari says
omg the Pfizer meme.
Hugs on the depleted, but glad the days off helped.
Eric Church FOREVER. Missed the 20m bodyweight. I know what I’m doing later today. They should allow badge pooling. I’ll do all the country twice to give you & Michelle ones and you can do any pop after about 2010. Deal?
I really need to get access to a bike for some of these. They sound so fun.
kookyrunner says
The Pfizer meme will be a favorite of mine for a long time, lol.
Selena talked a lot on the Eric Church run so I didn’t actually hear much of the music, but the bodyweight class was a little better.
LOL I appreciate the deal you have proposed.
Kimberly Hatting says
awhhhh, the woodchuck π Iβd love a couple of days off, though I usually regret it when I return . I had today off (Monday) for a family funeral and we get Friday afternoon off …so my short week is gonna be crazy. ..
kookyrunner says
Yeah my inbox was pretty full yesterday so i spent a few hours going through emails. Definitely the downside of taking days off.
Jessie says
Scented masks would be nice. On my recent flight I was thinking how nice it is not to smell other people, ha! Planes used to be stinky. Not a fan.
Glad you are feeling a bit more refreshed and ready to tackle September!
kookyrunner says
LOL so true! There are some unconventional benefits to wearing a mask.
Jenn says
I don’t think we are designed to stand up to this kind of intense pressure all the time. It’s just exhausting.
I’m sorry for all the endurance stuff at OTF.
kookyrunner says
I agree. I’m not surprised that so many people are experiencing burnout lately. The past 2 years has just been so extreme.
Liz Dexter says
Glad you got some time off! Mind you, my husband had the bank holiday yesterday and I worked as I’m taking the day off on Friday, and he mowed the lawn, took in the supermarket delivery and went to the supermarket to get the stuff they wouldn’t deliver, freeing me up from having to do any of that! Hooray! Serious DOMS from helping my friend shift boxes of books on Sunday so I need to get more strength training back in my life …
kookyrunner says
It’s so funny how we often use our “days off” to run a bunch of errands since we have free time, lol.
Darlene S. Cardillo says
Ha ha. Your memes always make me laugh.
Glad you feel better after time off.
Iβm exhausted after my two days. Because I went away. I think I need a stay cation next.
kookyrunner says
Staycations are always a good idea! π
Lisa @ TechChick Adventures says
I can totally relate on that video chat meme. I’d really rather just talk on the phone to my coworkers and they are always setting up Teams meetings. No, just no!
kookyrunner says
Right?! I hate having tons of video calls every day – it can get to be annoying.
Zenaida Arroyo says
That is so funny what you said about Jess! Fun workouts this week for you. I don’t know how you do it. π Definitely GREAT job!
kookyrunner says
thanks!
