Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I was very happy to have this week off from work so that I could run a ton of errands and enjoy uninterrupted time with my family.

Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, November 23
Orangetheory Fitness – Power (45 minutes)
Peloton 2000s Ride 11/22/20 – Cody (20 minutes)
Whenever I’m off from work I can attend the later morning classes which means I can take classes with one of my favorite coaches – it’s such a treat! We worked with heavier weights on the floor block which I felt for days after. I love and hate sun squats for this reason.
Tuesday, November 24
Peloton Advanced Full Body Bootcamp 11/21/20 – Jess (60 minutes)
This was an ass kicking from start to finish. I was definitely cursing at my phone during some parts but was so happy when it was done.
Wednesday, November 25
Orangetheory Fitness – Endurance (45 minutes)
This was a very spicy class! The treadmill block was intense and I was so glad when it was done. During the floor block we did a lot of work with the Bosu which was nice since we don’t use this piece of equipment often.
Thursday, November 26
Orangetheory Fitness – Strength (45 minutes)
Happy Thanksgiving! I upgraded my Turkey costume this year. I love the look of it but it was hard to workout in it. It’s mainly a light fleece material and between that and working out in a mask, I was super hot and sweaty, but it was still fun and make people smile so that’s all that matters π
Friday, November 27
Peloton Turkey Burn Ride 11/26/20 – Robin (45 minutes)
Peloton Turkey Trot 11/26/20 – Matty (30 minutes)
Peloton Flow & Let Go 11/26/20 – Aditi (30 minutes)
This week is Gratitude Week at Peloton so there are a bunch of great classes to choose from. I did the gratitude meditations earlier this week so I was excited to take some of the Thanksgiving Day classes. I didn’t feel that great when I woke up but still wanted to get in a workout. The ride with Robin was so good and she did a great job of weaving the theme of gratitude throughout the ride. I decided to power walk the Turkey Trot instead of running it and really enjoyed it!
Saturday, November 28
Peloton Advanced Bodyweight Bootcamp 10/19/19 – Jess (60 minutes)
The scheduled live bootcamp class was cancelled. I still wanted to do a 60 minute bootcamp so I searched the app for a class I had not completed yet and found this one. I always forget that bodyweight exercises are hard – especially when you’re doing a series of the same moves over and over again.
Speaking of Jess Sims bootcamps, I noticed that I have done most of her 60 minute bootcamps. My goal before the end of the year will be to complete all of her bootcamps – I have 6 left, plus her live ones on Saturdays. If I do 2 or 3 a week I should be able to complete this goal.
Sunday, November 29
Orangetheory Fitness – Endurance (45 minutes)
Total Weekly Mileage: 13 miles
Summary: 6 runs*, 2 bootcamps, 1 yoga, 2 cycle and 4 OTF/strength/HITT classes.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs.
Peloton Artist Series Classes Progress – 175/178
Grade This Week β A
Did you purchase any good Black Friday deals? Great Lakes Gelatin had a good sale on collagen so I stocked up on that. It came at the perfect time as I ran out of the product earlier in the week. I found some cute pajamas for my mom and sister on Old Navy’s website. Other than those two things, I didn’t really do much shopping, but I did get started on decorating the house for the holidays.
…and now for this week’s memes π
That’s it! I hope you had a great week π
Iβm linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Happy Thanksgiving Kim! Oh my, that costume is so great, but man you must have been so hot!! Kudos for doing it for the smiles π
Love the squirrels landing as super heroes! Too cute.
kookyrunner says
The costume was HOT! I don’t know if I can workout indoors with it on again but it would work well for an outdoor Turkey Trot.
Beckett @ Birchwood Pie says
I love the costume and you get all of the props for working out in it. I’m going to be getting the Peloton app soon and I can’t wait to check out all of these classes.
kookyrunner says
Let me know if you have any questions about the Peloton app!
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
I like the first meme!
Hurray for a week off week, but man, all those workouts — and that turkey suit! Wow. Just wow.
I was at my moms on Black Friday, or on the road, except for my brief stop to hike some. But I still bought a few things. Mr. Judy has actually been given a list of some stuff to look for for me on Ebay. He’s already found better prices than I could find, let’s hope he doesn’t play chicken too long looking for the best price & I actually get what I want!
kookyrunner says
I think I’ll need to save that turkey costume for outdoor runs because it was really hot running in it during my OTF workout lol.
Kimberly Hatting says
Awwww, those squirrels <3<3<3 I love little furry critters (I know, I'm kind of on my own island with that). And the turkey cookie LOL … I love my sugar, but that would be a hard pass LOL. Lots of great workouts this week for you! I do a lot of body weight workouts, and am always impressed how thorough they are in kicking my backside.
Kimberly Hatting says
Oh, forgot to mention, I scored a pair of Brooks Ravenna’s on BF. Have you ever tried them? They are very similar to the Adrenalines…more suitable for shorter runs (up to 5-6 miles) for me, but I’m not exactly running weekly double digits runs yet.
kookyrunner says
Me too! I love squirrels, guinea pigs, hamsters, etc but my mom always says they all look like rats LOL.
My booty and legs are still feeling the burn from my the bodyweight bootcamp yesterday – ouch!
Wendy says
Working out at home, I can’t do the heavy lifting like I do in CF and with SJ. I’ll get back to work with her on Thursday and I know I’m going to suffer after…lol
That squirrel meme made me LOL! I swear the memes are giving me life!
kookyrunner says
That squirrel meme was so funny, lol.
Zenaida Arroyo says
Cute costume! Once you have a Peloton goal, nothing can stop you. Love it!
The squirrels meme is so cute!
kookyrunner says
Thanks – it’s always fun to workout in costume, lol.
OMG that squirrels meme is so funny. I have no clue if it’s true though.
Deborah Brooks says
The best Thanksgiving costumes! Love your spirit! Hope you all had a nice dinner. I did Alex’s turkey burn before I left and I am now without my bike for a few weeks yikes. It will be Peloton strength for me. Those squirrels ha ha
kookyrunner says
Thanks! I need to do Alex’s turkey burn ride – I really loved Robin’s ride.
Coco says
I canβt imagine working out in that costume! You sure get the spirit award. π
Wow on doing all the JS bootcamps! Iβve only done a few because I need to psych myself up for them. π I havenβt done any the new rides, but am looking forward to them.
Um, that turkey-themed bakery item? WTF?!
kookyrunner says
LoL thanks Coco! I think the costume would be better for an outdoor Turkey Trot.
I don’t know when exactly it happened, but sometime this summer I really started to like the 60 minute bootcamps with Jess. I think I like them so much because it’s the best way for me to get in cardio and strength.
Lisa @ Mile by Mile says
Your costume is great, but I don’t know how you worked out in that! Glad you had a good week off work. Great job with all your workouts!
kookyrunner says
lol it wasn’t easy to workout in it, but thankfully the class was only 45 minutes!
Liz Dexter says
I will never tire of seeing those turkey costumes – you rule! A great week, too. I’m hoping I’ll have the Peleton app downloaded at the end of the week as Mr Liz has Tue-Fri off and is targeting “his” room where my crosstrainer is …
Oh and I bought nothing on Black Friday but we did go a bit mad on Prime Day …
kookyrunner says
Thanks Liz! I’m so interested to hear how you like the Peloton app π
Jenn says
Your turkey costume was BEYOND! I love how much fun that must have been!
Happy Thanksgiving to you! It looks like it was a great day and a great week! <3
kookyrunner says
Thanks Jenn! Yeah the turkey costume kind of got in my way when I was working out but I just dealt with it, lol
Darlene S Cardillo says
You have the best costumes. Not sure I could run in that lol
Looks like you had a productive week off.
Was it hard getting back into that work routine?
kookyrunner says
The costume was a little heavy and big but I tried to make it work, lol.
Michelle @ Running with Attitude says
I loved your costume – I still can’t believe you made it through an OTF workout in it!!
Great goal to finish Jess’ bootcamps! I’ve been meaning to try one of the bike bootcamp classes – have you tried one yet?
That squirrel meme is the best! LOL!
kookyrunner says
I can’t believe it either! I think that next year I will go back to my older turkey costume because it was easier to workout in. I’ve tried one of the bike bootcamps and I liked it but i still prefer the tread bootcamps.
