Happy Sunday. I hope that everyone had a great week and enjoying the holiday weekend. I don’t have any plans but to enjoy grilled food and an adult beverage, lol. Here’s how my workouts went this past week.
Monday, June 27
Warm Up Walk 3/24/22 – Jon (10 minutes)
Saturday60 Advanced Full Body Bootcamp 6/25/22 – Jess (60 minutes)
Rock Ride 6/26/22 – Christine (30 minutes)
Pride Yoga Flow 6/5/22 – Denis (30 minutes)
#nevermissamonday, but I almost did. I was seriously dragging and it was a struggle to get through the Saturday60 boot camp. Mondays are always my hardest workout days but today felt especially hard!
Tuesday, June 28
Pride Ride 6/13/22 – Erik (45 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
Pride Walk 6/28/22 – Matty (30 minutes)
This stack was all about Pride! It was Pride day out our OTF studio and it was a run/row class which I absolutely love.

We got our shirts from Etsy
Matty’s Pride Walk was so much fun and I was glad I was able to do it live during my lunch break. I am constantly learning new information about the LGBTQ+ community from Matty. This time I learned that there were Drag Kings back in the day. I know all about Drag Queens, but never knew there were Kings as well! As a proud ally of the community I’m always learning and I thank Matty for always dropping facts in a way that is easily understood.

Matty..I mean Mara Thoner, was amazing as usual.
Wednesday, June 29
90s Ride 6/24/22 – Cody (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
2010s Walk 6/26/22 – Joslyn (20 minutes)
Glutes & Legs Strength 4/19/22 – Jess (10 minutes)
You can’t go wrong with a ride with Cody – great 90s playlist and tons of fun. The OTF class was brutal. Between the heavy wrights on the floor, power rows and endurance runs on the treadmill, I was toast once class was over. The amount of sweat I produced was ridiculous. I do tend to sweat a lot, so this was nothing new, but even I was shocked lol.
Thursday, June 30
Wimbledon Full Body Warm Up 6/28/22 – Erik (10 minutes)
Saturday60: Pop Bootcamp 5/14/22 – Jess (60 minutes)
Wimbledon Walk 6/28/22 – Jon (15 minutes)
Pride 365: TDoV Ride 3/31/22 – Jess K (30 minutes)
Yoga Flow 4/10/22 – Denis (10 minutes)
Finished off the #3for31 challenge with a Saturday60 bootcamp class. I’m now all caught up on the Saturday60 classes after missing a few of them in April and May. I really enjoyed the #3for31 challenge this month and will do it again in December. The yoga class felt like a really great stretch after those classes. It was a great class because it hit on all my tight spots.
Friday, July 1
Juneteenth Run 6/19/22 – Marcel (30 minutes)
Metal Ride 5/15/22 – Erik (20 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
PRide Yoga Flow 6/25/22 – Mariana (30 minutes)
Loved the Juneteenth run with Marcel. I’m kind of convinced that the people who design the OTF class templates are trying to kill us. The classes have been pretty brutal lately and this class completely destroyed my legs between all the lunges, squats and inclines on the treadmill.
Saturday, July 2
Wimbledon Core Strength 7/1/22 – Ben (10 minutes)
Wimbledon Ride 7/2/22 – Bradley (20 minutes)
Upper Body Warm Up 5/13/22 – Tunde (5 minutes)
Wimbledon Arms & Light Weights 7/2/22 – Bradley (10 minutes)
Arms & Shoulders Strength 5/13/22 – Tunde (10 minutes)
Pride Run 6/21/22 – Jeffrey (30 minutes)
Pride Run 6/24/22 – Robin (30 minutes)
Wimbledon Post-Run Stretch 6/27/22 – Joslyn (10 minutes)
Jumped on Bradley’s live Wimbledon ride in the morning to celebrate ride #1,000! I was kind of bummed I didn’t get a shoutout but I know it’s hard for the instructors to get to everyone and it was only a 20 minute class, so not a lot of time to get shoutouts in anyway. I decided to start the Arms with Tunde program since it’s now available on all platforms (not just the Guide). Both of the Pride runs were really good, especially Jeffrey’s class since it had English subtitles. I just really love his vibe!

Sunday, July 3
Warm Up Walk 4/26/22 – Marcel M (10 minutes)
EDM HIIT Cardio 6/28/22 – Rebecca (20 minutes)
Pride Glutes & Legs Strength 6/27/22 – Marcel M (30 minutes)
Disco Pilates 6/29/22 – Kristin (30 minutes)
R&B Yoga Flow 6/24/22 – Chelsea (30 minutes)
My sleep has been horrible this weekend – 4 hours Friday night and 2 hours last night – so I opted for a break from the running and cycling. It was nice to focus more on strength today and I was able to finish up the rest of the Pride 2022 themed classes as well. As always, I’ll do the yoga class later on this evening.
Summary:
Running – 15.8 miles
Cycle – 35.09 miles
Strength Training – 105 minutes
Orangetheory Fitness – 180 minutes
Bootcamp – 120 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 631/634
How’s the weather in your neck of the woods? Here it’s been hot and the humidity has been oppressive – it’s just so gross out. We were supposed to get thunderstorms yesterday but they never came. Not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing? On one hand the rain could have cooled down the temperature but on the other hand, it could have made the humidity much worse.
I am looking forward to the Arms with Tunde program and taking those classes this month. Sometimes I feel like I’m doing a little of everything since I’m not training for a race. Having a dedicated program to follow will be a nice change of pace, and if my arms can look more like Tunde’s, then that’s a win-win situation!
…and now for this week’s memes.
[caption id="attachment_12389" align="aligncenter" width="1125"] Add 1-2 kids and this is my dream, lol

Fun fact: In Boston, my friend and I walked about 3 miles roundtrip for dinner. I will literally walk anywhere.
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
In Case You Missed It
Tuesday Topics: Running – Warming Up & Cooling Down
Sorry to hear about the sleep – I am struggling with mine at the moment and yet my Garmin watch keeps claiming I was asleep when I wasn’t! The light nights and some loud gulls early in the morning are doing for me. I need to set up a programme of early nights – are you with me?
1000 rides is amazing! Well done!
Thanks Liz! I was excited to finally hit 1,000 rides after having my bike for a few years.
I’m totally with you on setting up a program for early nights. My goal for tonight is to try to be in bed by 9pm. I really need a good night’s sleep.
you sure hit up all the fun special classes this week! I am in week 3 of Tunde’s arms and curious to hear your thoughts after you take them. The pizza meme sounds good to me!
Will definitely share my thoughts on Tunde’s program as I have read that her form isn’t the best – especially for the longer classes. The pizza meme is truly my dream, lol.
Ha ha… that is a REALLY big pizza! I love how on Monday you didn’t feel like working out so you did a Jess Sims advanced full body bootcamp, GAAAH! I know what her classes are like- that must have been a killer. The word “lazy” is obviously not in your vocabulary.
Congrats on ride #1000! And have a happy 4th.
I would love to order a pizza that size, lol. On Mondays I really need to push myself or else I will totally phone it in when it comes to my workout. Also it’s nice to start off the week with a harder class – sets the tone for the week!
I relate to the walking everywhere. My husband hates that about me lol. Come on! Let’s just walk!
Love you and your mom’s pride shirts! So glad OTF designed some classes for Pride. That’s fun!
Although I do drive, I prefer to walk whenever possible. I’m just not a huge fan of driving, finding parking, dealing with a**hole drivers, etc, lol.
I love your mom’s short and yours. And what a great ally you are, always learning. I need to take that Matty class, it sounds like so much fun!
I’ve never met a pizza I didn’t like.
Thanks! We wanted to support a Queer owned shop on Etsy so we were happy to find these shirts.
1000 rides. That’s so amazing
I get tired just reading about all your workouts.
And I want that pizza!!
Thanks Darlene! I never thought I would get to 1,000 rides – it took me forever lol.
Huge congrats on 1000 rides!!! That’s amazing, Kim!
LOL that squirrel meme was me on Friday. I kept scrolling through my email looking for one in particular but getting sidetracked by another and forgetting about my main mission, over and over again!
Your plans for the 4th sound perfect. I’m not sure what we’re doing yet, which means not much!
Thanks Coco – It definitely took me a while to hit that milestone!
Haha the squirrel meme is me at least once a week, especially at work. Between emails coming in and all the alerts on Microsoft Teams, it’s hard to stay focused!
Way to go on all those rides!!! You know I LOVE Tunde 😉 Matty’s Pride Walk was over-the-top hilarious…he’s such a funny guy and a great inspiration!
Matty’s walk left me in such a great mood – I just love him!
Nice week of workouts Kim! I noticed that the quality of my sleep depends upon the kinds of foods I eat. If I go too low-carb and do a high-intensity workout, it affects my serotonin levels and my sleep suffers. I definitely noticed the price of watermelon over this weekend! Haha and Yikes!
That’s really interesting about the link between food and sleep. I will do a better job of noticing what foods I have for lunch/dinner on nights I don’t sleep well.
OMG I love the memes this week, especially the ducks in the police car 🙂
Looks like an awesome week for you, despite the killer OTF classes! I still haven’t done Matty’s walk but will this week. I do love the nuggets of wisdom he sprinkles into his classes. And, I’m looking forward to hearing what you think of Tunde’s program.
The ducks in the police car is a nice metaphor for my life, lol. You will definitely enjoy Matty’s class – he’s such a gem!
I love yours and your mom’s shirts! My CF did a whole Pride-themed workout! I wasn’t there, but they also raised money for The Trevor Project, which I did participate in!
It was a really good weekend! But I’m sure you heard about the shooting at the parade, which was in a town very close to mine. It’s getting real.
Love that your CF raised money for the Trevor Project – it’s such a great organization!
Congrats on your 1000th ride! Wow; that’s impressive!
I am sorry about the heat & humidity. That is never fun. We actually had two very beautiful days.
I hope that we get back to less humid weather this week!
I was visiting a friend in LA and her colleague was horrified that I intended to (and did !) walk to the Target about 1 mile away. Number one, my friend’s SVU scares me. Two? I hate left turns. Although COVID got me more driving practice
Love your and your mom’s shirts.
I’m always in awe of how Matty does his classes as Mara. The production value is amazing.
I think as New Yorkers we just don’t know anything but walking everywhere. Sure the subways are there but I’d rather avoid them if possible.
Wow, you do a lot of different workouts, that’s great! Congrats on the 1000th ride, I am impressed. I love the pizza quote, is it bad that I want that now and at 80? Have a great week.
I would totally like the pizza meme now as well, lol.
