Happy Sunday. WHAT A WEEK! This week felt like a year, full of so many different emotions, and I’m glad that it’s finally over.
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, November 2
Peloton Halloween Ride 10/31/20 – Tunde (30 minutes)
Peloton Halloween Run Matty 10/28/20 – Matty (30 minutes)
Peloton Halloween Full Body Strength 10/27/20 – Andy (20 minutes)
I knew my anxiety would be through the roof this week and when I woke up on Monday morning I could already feel it π Instead of wallowing in it, I decided to take some of the Peloton Halloween classes from last week. I am SO thankful I did this because these classes got me out of my funk and provided me with a ton of laugh, especially Matty’s run.
Sunday, November 8
Orangetheory Fitness – ESP (45 minutes)
I wasn’t exactly hungover this morning but I was feeling the effects of one too many glasses of champagne. Luckily I didn’t feel too tired for class and ended up having a great workout.
Total Weekly Mileage: 16 miles
Summary: 8 runs*, 2 bootcamps, 4 cycle and 6 OTF/strength/HITT classes.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs.
Peloton Artist Series Classes Progress – 160/166
Grade This Week β A
This was literally the longest week ever! Memes and funny videos got me through this week because they provided me with an outlet to laugh. I definitely spent way too much time on my cell phone and watching the news, but I didn’t want to miss any election updates. This country still have a very long way to go, but I at least feel like we’re taking a step in the right direction.
…and now for this week’s memes π
That’s it! I hope you had a great week π
Iβm linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

I really don’t stay up late for much, and the election was no exception for me. It was a nail biter, for sure, but I’m so glad it’s over (at least I think it’s over, you never know what T will actually do).
Sounds like you had a good week despite all the nerves, Kim!
kookyrunner says
I usually don’t stay up past 11/11:30 anymore and I was so mad at myself for switching between my phone and TV for updates on Tuesday night because I knew so many states were still outstanding.
Jessie says
OMG the sloth meme, ha! Love it. And YES, a 4 year weight lifted. So much relief. Champs for me as well π
kookyrunner says
That sloth meme provided me with endless amounts of laughter, lol.
Beckett @ Birchwood Pie says
Nice workouts in spite of it all! I did absentee voting for the first time ever this year and it was so nice to have that off my plate. The only reason that I didn’t want to do in person voting was just in case I ended up not feeling well.
kookyrunner says
I like that the absentee ballot voting was available to more people this year, especially because of Covid. Our Covid numbers have been low so we felt comfortable enough to vote in person. I was happy to see that everyone was wearing masks and standing 6 feet apart while waiting to vote.
Deborah Brooks says
I never took any of the Halloween classes-my bad! I always love the variety of classes that you choose. Another solid week for you nice job! Have a great week ahead
kookyrunner says
I like the Peloton holiday themed classes – I can’t wait for their Thanksgiving and Christmas themed classes this year. I have a feeling that Matty will bless us with another run in costume lol.
Coco says
Oh, Kim, I canβt believe you stayed up late on Tuesday. I went to bed with a bad feeling of deja vu, so was actually relieved when it wasnβt called Wednesday morning. I tried hard not to get optimistic as the week wore on, but was ready to celebrate on Saturday!
I forgot about your office shake-up. So is your position now permanently WFH? I donβt understand why we are moving forward with reopening plans with cases rising again β maybe we will put our plans on βpauseβ. Before covid we were planning a big remodel, so it seems like it would make more sense to do that before brining people back, but they never ask me. π
Letβs hope we get a recovery week this week.
kookyrunner says
Trust me, I was really annoyed with myself for staying up that late but it was like I just couldn’t turn away from the news on my TV or phone. I knew that there were too many states outstanding to make a call but I still stayed up late anyway, sigh π I did enjoy celebrating yesterday though – it felt great!
Yup, I’m not a permanent WFH employee. Not really sure how I feel about that but I’m just happy to still have a job. My company announced that voluntary WFH will be extended to July 2021 (it was originally January) for the remaining office locations that are still open. Honestly I don’t see how any companies are going to feel comfortable asking their employees to come back in January, especially with Covid cases increasing again.

LOVE these memes, even though I am 100% guilty of a birthmonth.
The Marie Kondo one is especially true.
This week. So grateful for exercise and just sent you our version of champagne.
kookyrunner says
Loved the video that you sent! I saw a lot of celebrating last night which made me very happy.

Lol gotta love some good memes to get through a crazy week. This week really felt super long and was full of emotions! I was exhausted by the weekend and was so happy to just enjoy the nice weather. Great job getting in your workouts despite everything else going on!
kookyrunner says
The memes offer such comic relief which is so necessary! All of the craziness from the week hit me today and I just kind of lounged around all afternoon.
Darlene says
What a week. I got no sleep also tues night.
So relieved itβs over. So happy with the results.
Also loving this weather.
kookyrunner says
I’m just hoping for a calmer week this week since last week was super stressful!
I think we’re supposed to have nice weather all next week too.
Wendy says
We shot off fireworks. And wouldn’t you know it, our next door neighbors took to FB to complain about “someone’ shooting off fireworks and scaring their children. Ok, Karen. I am so ashamed for them. Why not man up and come over and talk to us. LOL
I hope things get better. I am so relieved he will be out of the White House.
kookyrunner says
LoL that’s so passive aggressive. Like you said, they just could have come over and speak to you like adults if they had an issue.
Wendy says
I finally got a good night’s sleep last night! That after my hubs and i had a fire in the backyard and shot off some fireworks. My next door neightbor posted on FB a complaint about ‘someone’ shooting off fireworks and scaring his children. Ok Karen!
It’s going to be a tough transition, but I hold out hope for kindness to prevail.
Kimberly Hatting says
It was SUCH a stressful week, on so many fronts. Despite all the ballot-counting issues, I was glad to see such a big turnout for voting. I can only imagine how sweet those Bon Jovi classes were…too bad Jon himself wasn’t the instructor LOL
kookyrunner says
I was really happy to see that this was the biggest voter turnout ever. This is how it should be every single time and I hope that continues.
Michelle @ Running with Attitude says
So sweet to be able to celebrate at the end of this very stressful week! I have no idea how you lasted so long on Tuesday night – thought I have to say while I went to bed just before midnight I don’t think I really got much sleep.
Fingers crossed this week is just a little quieter.
And that sloth meme is just too funny π
kookyrunner says
Saturday was a good day indeed! I also have no idea how I stayed up so late on Tuesday. I’m usually sleep by 11/11:30 lol.
Marcia says
It was a super stressful week for sure. The fact that it takes days/weeks to count votes is a disgrace, IMO. Could we not have agreed on standardized voting rules?? I went to sleep at my usual time on Tuesday night but I fought the urge to get up and check election results. Ugh. Glad your workouts helped dissipate the madness!
kookyrunner says
We certainly need standardized voting rules. Every other country can figure out so I would think that we could as well.
Jenn says
Great week!
My anxiety is still all kinds of fired up, for a variety of reasons. I hope I can get calmed down soon.
kookyrunner says
Fingers crossed that you feel less anxious this week!
Montana @ Pretty Lil Mudder says
Ok your memes as always make me laugh but that last one for sure because I’m that bitch lol. I celebrate for an entire month! I had a different celebration with different friends every weekend in August this year. But it was 2020 and we needed a little fun π
I’m so with you. I felt so light hearted on Saturday. I literally celebrated all day, could not stop smiling/laughing and crying with happiness. The victory speeches almost made me cry. And I popped an entire bottle of champagne on Saturday night and kept it going on Sunday morning with mimosas. So yeah, the celebrations were so real.
kookyrunner says
I love that so many people were celebrating on Saturday. I felt like we all let out a collective sigh of relief!
Zenaida Arroyo says
What a week!!! So much going on and stressful too. I am glad we got the good news we wanted. π I did not sleep much on Tuesday night but still made myself go to bed “early”.
I also took Matty’s Halloween run and enjoyed it as well. I just love him!
kookyrunner says
Matty is such a gift! I really love his humor π
