Happy Sunday! And just like that, it’s already October. September flew by in a flash, but now it’s time to celebrate all things Fall and pumpkin š Here’s how my workouts went this week.
Monday, September 26
LHHM Celebration Run 9/24/22 – Robin (30 minutes)
LHHM Celebration Ride 9/25/22 – Hannah C. (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
The LHHM Celebration classes were fun! The heritage month classes are always some of my favorite classes to do because the playlists are always great and I learn something new all the time.
Tuesday, September 27
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
AFO Run: Swedish House Mafia 8/21/22 – Marcel M (30 minutes)
Bike Bootcamp: Upper Body 8/28/22 – Jess (30 minutes)
Folklore Album Yoga Flow 9/3/22 – Mariana (30 minutes)
The OTF template was sneaky because it didn’t sound that hard but once we started doing the exercises it was a different story, lol. I’m probably going to be feeling that workout for a few days. I enjoyed the playlist for the run (Swedish House Mafia is starting to grow on me) and the bike bootcamp was a nice quick upper body burn. My friend texted me about doing a yoga class after work so I joined her that.
Wednesday, September 28
AFO Run: Chase & Status 8/20/22 – Susie (30 minutes)
AFO Glutes & Legs: Chase & Status 8/20/22 – Ben (20 minutes)
AFO Ride: Chase & Status 8/20/22 – Hannah F (30 minutes)
Evermore Album Yoga Flow 9/9/22 – Kristin (30 minutes)
I didn’t really care for the music for these classes so i guess I’m not a chase & Status fan, lol.
I spent some time in the evening looking at the news coverage of Hurricane Ian. The images and videos were just unreal! I feel awful for all the families that have lost their homes – it’s just all so sad š
Thursday, September 29
Warm Up Walk 7/20/22 – Matty (10 minutes)
Saturday60: Advanced Full Body Bootcamp 9/17/22 – Jess (60 minutes)
LHHM Celebration Shadowboxing 9/28/22 – Kendall (30 minutes)
This Saturday60 class definitely kicked my butt more than usual, but I still enjoyed the class. Jess had a great playlist for this one. The LHHM Celebration shadowboxing class was good – I like these classes for a great low impact cardio workout.
Friday, September 30
AFO Run: Green Day 8/19/22 – Matt (20 minutes)
AFO Upper Body Strength: Muse 8/21/22 – Andy (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
Bossa Nova Slow Flow 9/19/22 – Chelsea (20 minutes)
The Green Day run was great because Matt made it an easier style class, so I was thankful for that! Andy’s upper body strength class was good too. It started off a little slow but then it got much better.
Saturday, October 1
Latin EDM Run 9/21/22 – Olivia (30 minutes)
LHHM Celebration Full Body Strength 9/27/22 – Rad (30 minutes)
AFO Warm Up Ride: Maroon 5 8/19/22 – Bradley (10 minutes)
Latin Dance Ride 9/28/22 – Leanne (20 minutes)
Bad Bunny Two For One Ride 10/1/22 – Camila & Cody (30 minutes)
This was a fun stack! Olivia’s Latin EDM run was really good because it had a little bit of everything – inclines, sprints, intervals and walk/jogging breaks. I was glad that I was able to take the Bad Bunny class live – it was so much fun! During the ride Camila also announced that she is going to start teaching tread classes. I’m excited for her to bring her energy to the tread. Her first class will be on Wednesday night.
Sunday, October 2
Fiesta Latina Ride 9/18/22 – Camila (45 minutes)
Latin Pop Glutes & Legs Strength 9/22/22 – Jermaine (20 minutes)
Cumbia Yoga Flow 9/21/22 – Mariana (30 minutes)
I woke up with a little bit of back pain, so I opted not to do a walk or run today. The glutes and legs strength class was awesome! The playlist was great, JJ had a few funny dance breaks, and the flow of the class was perfect.
Summary:
Running – 17.42 miles
Cycle – 38.67 miles
Strength Training – 100 minutes
Bootcamp – 90 minutes
Orangetheory Fitness – 180 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 804/840
It was definitely a bummer to wake up with back pain this morning but it’s slowly starting to feel better. I think I may have slept in a weird position because my right shoulder/neck area is kind of tight too. I have to laugh at myself whenever I somehow injure myself while sleeping – that has to be some type of special skill, lol.
This week felt super long so I was so happy to log off work on Friday afternoon. To be honest, work has been kicking my butt the past 2 weeks – more so than usual. I’m feeling pretty stressed about it, mainly because I feel like I don’t have enough time in the day to get everything done, especially when juggling a few projects at the same time. I may log on later this afternoon to try to get a jump start on a few things before tomorrow. I very rarely do work on the weekends (try to have that work/life balance), but I feel like it’s necessary at this point.
…and now for this week’s memes.
That’s it! I hope you had a great week š
Iām linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
In Case You Missed It
Tuesday Topics: Fun Peloton Classes

Yes, finally! I can talk about pumpkins without everyone rolling their eyes. Although that meme Kim sent you is funny- yes, I’m sure she’s not quite as happy as we are.
It is kind of ironic that you did all these hard workouts and then hurt your back sleeping. But it happens! I see it all the time. I hope you’re starting to feel better. And sorry about your work stress- working on a Sunday afternoon sounds unpleasant, but worth it if it makes your Monday easier.
kookyrunner says
Right?! I can get through a 60 minute OTF workout with no issue but then I sleep the wrong way and injure myself. i actually think it’s a combo of sleeping wrong and stress as I tend to hold most of my stress in my shoulders and lower back area.
Jessie says
I’ve definitely slept wrong and had a sore back, especially when we were sleeping on an air mattress here! But even now that we hae our regular bed, it happens! We’re getting old Kim š JK.
kookyrunner says
LOL š Okay, well it’s good to know I am not the only one, but still, we need to stop waking up injured!
Wendy says
I hope your back feels better, Kim! I get all kinds of random aches and pains, but I blame it on age and RA, lol
I’m not a fan of pumpkin spice, so that meme speaks to me, lol
kookyrunner says
I have noticed that I meet less people every year that like pumpkin spice. I guess I am part of a rare breed of pumpkin spice loving crazy people lol
Deborah Brooks says
I never do get it when I injure myself sleeping! I figure I must have done something w a workout and then sleeping somehow aggravated it. who knows but hope your back is feeling better. Crushing it again on all those classes this week! I don’t know who most of the music artists are
kookyrunner says
That’s a good point – I wonder if it was a delayed reaction to a workout? Who knows, but I am very thankful for my heating pad currently!
Kimberly Hatting says
I wake up with a cranky back more often than not….so something’s def not right, LOL. You’re still cranking out the AFO classes, I see. I really skipped through most of them on the app cuz there were so many musicians (and songs) that I didn’t recognize. I know, my bad.
kookyrunner says
Some of the AFO classes have definitely been better than others. Whenever I don’t know an artist I hope that I will find a few new songs to add to my playlist, but that doesn’t happen all of time.
Marcia says
Sorry work has been consuming so much of your time. I hope it eases up for you soon. Bummer about the back pain. It’s weird how weird aches pop up sometimes. Nice job killing all those workouts!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Marcia! I’m hoping the work stress eases up a bit soon too but I am not hopeful lol
Chocolaterunsjudy says
Sounds like in some ways it was a tough week, Kim, but you always find something to laugh about and that’s a special skill, too! I think we all wake up with some odd pains now and again. Good thing it doesn’t seem like it’s lasting too long.
I hope that work gets more balanced soon. Good luck!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Judy! I have to sprinkle in some humor to keep my sanity, lol.
Coco says
I opted to do some work this weekend too ā it was cold and rainy so I was stuck at home anyway. I hope it means this week will be less stressful for both of us!
kookyrunner says
I sure hope so! I logged a few hours on Sunday but still not sure if it really helped, lol
Darlene says
Hope your back is feeling better. And work calms down.
You have the best memes. I look forward to your post.
I do love pumpkin spice. Lol.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Darlene. Luckily my back is feeling better this week.
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
Hello October, indeed! I have to admit that after being in New England and seeing all of the fall color, I am ready to go all all with fall when I get home!
I hope your sleeping injury is better by now. I do the same thing sometimes. How does that happen?
kookyrunner says
Thanks Debbie! The back injury seems better this week so hopefully it was just a fluke.
Jenn says
Aw. I hope your back is ok. That sounds so frustrating!
I’m so ready for fall!
