Happy Sunday. I hope that everyone had a great week. Anyone else feel like this week was super busy? Between work, running errands, PeloFondo and doing some things around the house, it felt like this week went by quickly.
Here are my workouts for the week.
Monday, July 18
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
David Guetta Run 7/6/22 – Olivia (30 minutes)
Angelique Kerber Pop Ride 12/13/21 – Erik (30 minutes)
Rock Slow Flow 7/18/22 – Chelsea (30 minutes)
I slept poorly on Sunday night, but it was a benchmark day at OTF so there was no time for sleeping in. This signature workout is called Inferno, and it’s all about accumulating the most amount of distance on the rower. Here’s the format:
Row 100 meters
Run 0.1 miles on the treadmill
Row 200 meters
Run 0.1 miles on the treadmill
*repeat, adding 100 meters every time you go back to the rower*
I was able to pick up a much unexpected PR so I was happy about that.
Since we really didn’t run a lot during class, I did the 30 minute David Guetta run to get in some more miles/steps and it was really good! One of my friends was celebrating her 100th yoga class so I hoped on the class to help her celebrate. You wouldn’t think rock music and slow flow go together, but it was really good!
Tuesday, July 19
Warm Up Walk 4/25/22 – Joslyn (10 minutes)
Lizzo Run 7/15/22 – Marcel D (30 minutes)
Lizzo Full Body Strength 7/15/22 – Jess (30 minutes)
Intervals Ride 5/2/21 – Erik (30 minutes)
The Lizzo classes were SO good! Marcel’s energy on the treadmill was totally infectious. It would have been fun to be in the studio for that class. Same thing with the strength class – Jess and everyone in the studio was having so much fun, even while getting a great full body workout.
Wednesday, July 20
Pre-Run Warm Up 11/15/21 – Becs (5 minutes)
Endurance Run 5/15/22 – Marcel D (45 minutes)
Arms & Shoulders Strength 5/13/22 – Tunde (15 minutes)
Aussie Vibes Ride 7/14/22 – Ben (30 minutes)
Aussie Vibes Cool Down Ride 7/14/22 – Ben (10 minutes)
I really enjoyed the endurance run. It was nice to just set a speed and run that the whole class. Marcel included a few inclines during the class but nothing too crazy. The Aussie vibes rides reminded me that I like a lot of Australian music artists. Ben included a song from INXS in one of the rides and I found myself really jamming along, lol.
Thursday, July 21
Morning Meditation 7/19/22 – Aditi (10 minutes)
Power Walk 5/15/22 – Kirsten (45 minutes)
Arms & Shoulders Strength 5/13/22 – Tunde (15 minutes)
HIIT & Hills Ride 4/30/21 – Hannah F (30 minutes)
I tried something different and started off the day with a meditation. It was a nice way to start the day before getting into my workout. I wanted to take a day off from running so the power walk was perfect. Although it was low impact, I still got a great workout, complete with sweat. Tunde included burpees in this arms & shoulders class which I thought was a bit odd since it’s more of a full body exercise.
Friday, July 22
Live DJ Run 5/13/22 – Adrian (30 minutes)
Recovery Ride 5/15/22 – Erik (20 minutes)
Core Strength 7/19/22 – Daniel (5 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
The Live DJ run was fun. Adrian and DJ John Michael always put on a show and you can tell they are really having a great time. The recovery ride was a great way to flush out my legs before OTF class.
It was another theme day at OTF – “Christmas in July”. Of course I had too pull out some of my Christmas items for the class.
Saturday, July 23
Andrew Lloyd Webber Warm Up Ride 7/20/22 – Christine (10 minutes)
Andrew Lloyd Webber Ride 7/20/22 – Benny (20 minutes)
Andrew Lloyd Webber Ride 7/20/22 – Sam (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (45 minutes)
Lizzo Ride 7/15/22 – Cliff (30 minutes)
Upper Body Warm Up 5/13/22 – Tunde (5 minutes)
Arms & Shoulders Strength 5/13/22 – Tunde (10 minutes)
Lizzo Two For One Ride 7/15/22 – Robin & Jess (30 minutes)
Whew – What a busy day! I normally don’t do OTF on Saturdays but wanted to take advantage of a 45 minute class. Today was also day 1 of PeloFondo. I had to miss there last event in April, so I’m happy I can participate this time. I did my first few classes before class, went to OTF, re-hydrated, and then did 2 more rides. The Lizzo Two for One ride was absolutely incredible! I really think it might be the best cycling class on the platform. I pledged a total of 50 miles over the weekend and will finish up the miles tomorrow.
Sunday, July 24
David Guetta Ride 7/6/22 – Camila (30 minutes)
David Guetta Ride 7/6/22 – Ben (30 minutes)
David Guetta Ride 7/6/22 – Erik (45 minutes)
Lower Body Stretch 6/17/22 – Matty (10 minutes)
Andrew Lloyd Webber Yoga Flow 7/20/22 – Ross (45 minutes)
All of the the David Guetta classes were great, even if only one of them was in English, lol. I actually don’t mind taking the Spanish or German classes. Maybe it well help me pick up a few words in each language! I did a lower body stretch after my las ride but my body still feels tight so I think I will do the ALW yoga class later on today.
Summary:
Running – 11.2 miles
Cycle – 80.77 miles
Strength Training – 80 minutes
Orangetheory Fitness – 165 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 652/655
I feel like most of the country is experiencing this never ending heatwave, so I won’t ask how the weather is in your neck of the woods, lol. I think that *hopefully* the heatwave is supposed to end on Tuesday, so let’s keep our fingers crossed that happens.
I finished up my second PeloFondo this morning. It worked out well that I had a few Artist Series rides to catch up on so I used those for both days of riding. I liked splitting the rides up over two days to get my 50 miles. I will definitely do it again in October!
…and now for this week’s memes.

I really felt this one LOL

I will be loud and wrong π
That’s it! I hope you had a great week π
Iβm linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
In Case You Missed It
Tuesday Topics: The Fitness Struggle Bus
wow you were quite the over achiever this weekend! Way to go on those double workouts and the 50 miler. I hope a rest day is in store tomorrow, I also just loved the Lizzo ride and may have to do it again this week as well
Thanks! Yeah this weekend was a lot so I’ll probably take a few days away from the bike. I’m sure my butt will thank me, haha.
Whoops! I totally spaced off the Pelofondo (and I even knew about it, a few weeks ago). Oh well. I have a very heavy biking mileage week coming up, so it’s for the better. You were busy! Great week, #KimTwin!
I think they don’t do a great job of advertising PeloFondo, even on their IG page. I know the next one should be in October, just not sure of the dates yet.
Congrats on Pelofondo and your OTF PR β thatβs quite a week!
I love seeing the Hannah F class in your line-up. π
Hearing about that burpee class in Tundeβs program makes me question how legit the programming is. Sometimes I feel the instructors program the classes for the hype rather than for the training effect.
Today and tomorrow are supposed to be the worst of our heat. Itβs pretty gross out!
Thanks! I was more excited to finish up the PeloFondo yesterday. I really don’t know how people do 100 miles for the weekend. My butt barely got through 50 miles lol.
I’m on week 4 of the Tunde program. So far I would probably give it a B+. Some classes are definitely better than others, but there needs to be more cueing. Also the class with the burpees was a little outrageous.
wow. You are amazing. I get tired reading about all your workouts.
It was a hot one. It’s raining now. maybe the wprst is over.
I think we are supposed to get thunderstorms this afternoon so maybe that will cool down the temps a bit!
My goodness all that work! I didn’t realise there were some Spanish Peloton classes, I’ll have to look at those to improve my Spanish. We had our heat wave and survived it; it was actually quite scary when it got to 99 and the hottest it’s ever been in the UK.
They just added Spanish language classes a few months ago. I love how they are always expanding to reach more people.
I heard about the heatwave in the UK this past week. So glad that you finally got a break from the heat and hopefully it doesn’t get that hot again!
Way to go on all the workouts, Kim! So many places are having Christmas in july promotions and sales. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many. The little Miss memes are hilarious!
I’ve noticed a lot of Christmas in July sales too! I guess that’s better than stores putting out Christmas decoration and ornaments for sale, lol.
HEE HEE! I love the “micro-injuries” meme. That is totally me- I definitely injure myself in all sorts of stupid ways, including sleeping.
Congrats on the Pelofondo! You WERE busy last week! Oh, and i love your “Christmas in July” spirit. You definitely know how to make things fun.
I injure myself in the craziest ways! This weekend I hurt my arm getting off my spin bike – who does that? Thankfully it feels find now.
Ooooh! An Andrew Lloyd Webber workout/ride sounds fun! That’s right up my alley!
A had Christmas in July at band camp today. It was fun to see the kids participating.
I love the Christmas in July theme!
It doesn’t seem like the heat is stopping you! Me either, although I was able to spend my time on the water, lol. It’s more temperate here this week, so I can’t wait to lace up tomorrow. Fingers crossed that the knee behaves.
I’m loving the Little Miss memes! But that raccoon really speaks to me.
The raccoon memes definitely speak to me – maybe a little too much, lol.
You certainly had a great week of fitness – I love the OTF Christmas in July theme and that you participated.
The Christmas in July is always a fun theme at the studio – I love it!
Great week, Kim! Yeah, it cooled off just in time for the next heatwave, LOL! I’ll still take this over the incessant rain last Summer that just made it completely unbearable!
Oh yeah, I forgot about all the rain of Summer 2021. That was awful!
