Happy Sunday! I hope that you had a great Christmas (if you celebrate). Was it just me or did it not feel like Christmas yesterday? Maybe it’s all the craziness of Covid + other things, but yesterday kind of felt like another normal day. It also didn’t feel like a Saturday which made things more confusing, lol.
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, December 20
Mamma Mia Ride 12/17/21 – Christine (30 minutes)
Core Bike Bootcamp 9/22/20 – Cody (30 minutes)
Holiday Pop Run 12/20/21 – Matty (30 minutes)
Holiday Party Yoga Flow 12/17/21 – Aditi (30 minutes)
I actually woke up feeling pretty good post-booster shot. I was a little tired, so I moved my workout to the evening which worked out well since I wanted to take Matty’s Holiday run live. Every year Matty does a really fun holiday run and this one was no different.
My arm was still a little sore from the booster shot, so I decided to stick with workouts that didn’t require any weights. Besides the run, the ride and bike bootcamp were great and it was nice to wind down with yoga right before bed.
Tuesday, December 21
Warm Up Walk 9/8/19 – Selena (10 minutes)
Saturday60: Advanced Full Body Bootcamp 12/11/21 – Jess (60 minutes)
XOXO, Cody: Slay Ride 12/14/21 – Cody (30 minutes)
Holiday HIITmas Cardio 12/11/21 – Callie (20 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Core Strength 12/20/21 (15 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Hips Flow 12/20/21 – Aditi (15 minutes)
I really enjoyed this stack of classes because I got a little bit of everything.
Wednesday, December 22
ABBA Run 12/16/21 – Marcel M (30 minutes)
Cool Down Walk 8/18/19 – Rebecca (10 minutes)
Hip Hop Bike Bootcamp 10/28/20 – Robin (45 minutes)
ABBA Ride 12/20/21 – Mila (20 minutes)
Holiday: Pop Full Body Strength 12/14/21 – Chase (20 minutes)
Loved the ABBA run with Marcel – granted I have no clue what he’s saying since he speaks German but he had so much energy and you could tell he was really enjoying the run, which made me enjoy it too. I haven’t done a strength class with Chase in a while so it was nice to workout with him again.
Thursday, December 23
Orangetheory Fitness – ESP (45 minutes)
Run + Arms & Shoulders Bootcamp 9/3/19 – Jess (30 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: HIIT Cardio 12/20/21 – Rad (15 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Bodyweight Strength 12/6/21 – Matty (15 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Yoga Flow 12/20/21 – Anna (15 minutes)
I’m continuing to work my way through the stacking stuffer classes. I like to mix and match them across different modalities because it feels like I get a great full body workout.
It was also Ugly Sweater Day at OTF.
Friday, December 24
Lower Body Bike Bootcamp 10/8/20 – Robin (30 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Barre 12/20/21 – Hannah C (15 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – Strength (60)
Holiday Vacation Run 12/9/21 – Andy (20 minutes)
Woke up to a few inches of snow to kick off Christmas Eve and did my traditional Christmas Eve workout at OTF. The theme was naughty or nice and the workout was a killer – way more naughty than nice options!
Saturday, December 25
Holiday Hip Hop Run 12/16/21 – Kirsten (30 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Walk + Run 12/6/21 – Matt (15 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: HIIT Cardio 12/13/21 – Olivia (15 minutes)
Bodyweight Bike Bootcamp 10/7/20 – Cody (45 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Full Body Strength 12/6/21 – Andy (15 minutes)
Red (Taylor’s Version) Stretch 12/25/21 – Ben (10 minutes)
Merry Christmas! It rained overnight and melted all the snow, so that was a bummer but at least it stopped snowing by the afternoon. The holiday hip hop run was SO much fun and I also really enjoyed the 10 minutes stretch with Ben.
Also, thanks to Kim for making this collage. I love working out virtually with other bloggers on holidays!
Sunday, December 26
Stacking Stuffer: Walk + Run 12/13/21 – Joslyn (15 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Hike 12/20/21 – Chase (15 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Power Walk 12/20/21 – Jermaine (15 minutes)
Upper Body Bike Bootcamp 11/2/20 – Jess (45 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Bodyweight Strength 12/13/21 – Chase (15 minutes)
I truly enjoyed the walk + run class with Joslyn – she was super fun and the class was very easygoing, which is exactly what I wanted this morning. My arms finally didn’t feel super sore this morning so I decided to do the upper body bike bootcamp, but now I’m sure my arms will be sore again tomorrow, lol.
I also tested out one of my new Christmas gifts. They are so pretty and I love them!
Total Weekly Mileage: 19 miles
Summary: 8 runs*, 3 cycle, 7 bootcamps, 3 yoga and 11 OTF/strength/HIIT classes.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs.
Peloton Artist Series Classes Progress – 476/485
I joined a few Secret Santa gift exchanges this month, one of which was the You Get To Crew Secret Santa. I was so happy with my gift from my secret Santa and I plan on wearing the tank for the first Saturday60 of 2022. I know Jess Sims would approve, lol.
Allow me to rant for a minute. I know this is an issue everywhere, but I don’t understand how it’s still so hard to find testing places for Covid-19. We’re almost two years into this pandemic and people are still having to wait 3-4 hours for a covid test? We tried to get tested on Wednesday only to be told that the testing site ran out of tests. We “only” waited about an hour before being turned away, but it’s just ridiculous. We were trying to get tested as a precaution before the holiday weekend. Luckily I was able to find some at home tests at CVS on Thursday night, but it shouldn’t feel like I’m participating in the Hunger Games just to find tests or get tested. I also purchased a few at-home tests from Amazon that will arrive in 2 weeks. It will be good to have those on hand for the future. Okay, rant over.
Stamford reinstated the indoor mask mandate on Tuesday night. I still wear my mask everywhere so no real change for me. Hopefully this will bring the positivity rate down as it’s currently the highest it’s been in over a year. I did end up freezing my OTF account for 2 weeks just because this new variant is so contagious. I’ll see how the numbers look at the end of 2 weeks and if they are still high I might freeze for another 2 weeks. Sigh – I just feel like we are never going to get out of this nightmare š
…and now for this week’s memes
That’s it! I hope you had a great week š
Iām linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Omicron is crazy contagious…I feel like its inevitable that I’ll get it, even with the booster and masking, but I hope to be proven wrong! Smart move to freeze OTF for a bit, hopefully things settle down a bit in NY/CT.
I love the stacking stuffers- I like the 15 minute duration and they pack a lot in there.
kookyrunner says
Same! I am really trying to do my best to stay healthy but I feel like even people who have been super careful are catching the Omicron variant. I felt good about my decision to freeeze OTf. Right now it’s just for 2 weeks but I may extend that.
Wendy says
Rant away because you echo what I’m saying. I had to get tested on Wednesday at work. I have been having some major GI issues. I was negative and I actually think it’s from that big lettuce recall for listeria. It was BAD. I am so tired of Covid. My BIL and my nephew both tried bating me yesterday at Christmas, bringing up Ivermectin and some other anti-science nonsense. I deal with this all day, every day at work. Ugh.
Anyhoo, I love your OTF spirit! So cute! Stay safe Kim. <3
kookyrunner says
I’m so sorry that you have to deal with anti-vax stuff every single day. I know that has to be so difficult but also infuriating when it’s just so simple to follow the science and get vaccinated.
Deborah Brooks says
I love the OTF spirit and that your mom still likes to go with you. I get the need urge to pause these days. Good thing you still have Peloton bc you are crushing it there too! I must know which shoes those are? They are amazing Merry Christmas to you and yours!
kookyrunner says
Yup! I have a lot of Peloton classes to catch up on so that will keep me busy while my OTF account is frozen.
Coco says
Honestly the testing situation is putting me in a font ask, donāt tell mindset. Iām not going to spend hours searching and waiting if I donāt feel bad. If I donāt feel well, Iāll just self isolate. OTOH my son is in Germany where testing is cheap and easy and routine before doing anything social, although he does have to give up the last day of his trip for pre-flight PCR testing.
Those shoes are amazing!!
As for the holiday, I think weāre just ready to move on from everything.
kookyrunner says
Thanks! I’m obsessed with these sneakers and debating on purchasing another pair as a back up!
Michelle says
Iām right there with you on this rant! We still havenāt been able to snag any tests and honestly itās taken forever to get booster appointmentsā¦sigh. Itās a bummer about having to pause OTF but seems like a wise choice.
Another fantastic week for you!
I love those Ghosts!!
kookyrunner says
I really hope that the US can get testing under control soon because people are just going to stop getting tested when access to tests is so hard.
Darlene S. Cardillo says
I had no reaction to the booster as well. Glad you were able to get your workout done.
You have the cutest shirts. Omg. Those shoes!,
Congrats on another consistent week. I love being your virtual friend too.
Thanks again for weekly memes. They always make me smile.
kookyrunner says
Thanks! I have a stockpile of holiday shirts I use every Christmas, lol.
Kimberly Hatting says
I love the Elf shirts (Santa!!!!!). We just watched the movie Christmas Eve night, as is our tradition. I LOVED the ABBA rides and workouts. The music is killer awesome š
kookyrunner says
Elf is one of the funniest Christmas movies – I love it!

Oh Kim, i’m joining your rant. My son and I woke up crazy sick on Friday and I couldn’t get us a covid test anywhere. I was really angry. Finally this morning (Sunday) I showed up at Urgent Care the second they opened, and I got a test- after 3 and 1/2 hours of waiting. Sure, that’s what you want to do when you’re sick- sit in your car in the urgent care parking lot all morning. There’s definitely something wrong here. And yes- omicron is crazy contagious, and the vaccine doesn’t seem to protect against it. Very smart to freeze your OTC account for a while! Oh, and they’re saying cloth masks aren’t effective either. Whatever.
On a happy note, sounds like you had a great week of workouts! i love all the festive Peloton classes- I joined in on some of the stacking stuffers earlier in the week and it was really fun.
Stay well!
kookyrunner says
So sorry you had to wait so long to get tested – that’s horrible! I really hope that things change as far as access to testing and at home tests because the way things are going now is really not sustainable.
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
That last one! It drives my mom insane. She doesn’t HAVE a car!
I actually did a workout when I got home from my booster, knowing the effects wouldn’t kick in til the next day. My arm was sore for like a week! I can deal with that, though, but the damn fever — luckily only about a day.
I hear you on the COVID testing. One of my friends was exposed — she actually didn’t have too much trouble getting tested (negative, yeah!) but she heard some horror stories.
Let’s hope things actually begin to settle down sometime in 2022 — gotta have hope, right? LOL!
kookyrunner says
LOL! My mom and sister also get the calls and neither of them have a car – they don’t even have a license since they don’t drive.
I’m glad that your friend was able to get tested with no issues. I am hoping that things change soon as far as access to testing and at home tests to make it easier for everyone.
Marcia says
I guess I’m grateful my husband bought some tests awhile ago when the supply was plentiful. Thing 2 attended a party where someone subsequently tested positive but so far she’s negative. Your Christmas sweater workouts are THE BEST. I spit my coffee on those last two memes!
kookyrunner says
Definitely a lesson learned for me. I will now make sure to have a few boxes of tests in the house at all times. Glad that your daughter tested negative – this new variant is so contagious š
Cari says
100% feel you on the testing. I was so grateful to be able to get my hands on a rapid test when I was waiting on my PCR, but Hunger Games is apt. We’re lucky that we’re able to travel to further flong stores and spend, but this is not sustainable.
Even this weekend I used one of Bob’s tests and they’ll use one of mine – which arrived at their house after I left. HUGS. Love the Christmas outfits and of course the shoes.
I have no idea what day it is anymore.
kookyrunner says
Yup, not sustainable at all. Something has got to change, and soon. For now I’m just trying to stay home as much as possible, but I know that it a luxury that many people don’t have.
Liz Dexter says
Yes, on the testing here, too. We can just about get home lateral flows but only if you log in to the gov website at 8.50 am (not earlier, not later) in my experience. Chemists are out of them. And it’s impossible to tell where to go to get a PCR until the moment you need one – as we have no car etc I’d rather know in advance then try to look when one of us is unwell!
Anyway, Happy Christmas, and it was lovely to join in with the collage!
kookyrunner says
It’s such a mess right now. I’m just trying to stay indoors as much as possible.
Black Knight says
Omicron is very contagious, in Italy the things go wrong in this period.
Congrats on another solid week.
Love the collage.
Happy New Year.
kookyrunner says
Yes, this variant is super contagious. I’m trying to stay indoors as much as possible.
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
It looks like you had lots of fun at your themed OTF workouts! I love how everyone dresses so festively.
The car warranty meme is the best!
Jenn says
Awesome workouts!
Our Christmas was weird, too. Mr PugRunner had a bad allergy flare up so he was out of commission most of the day. That put a damper on everything. Blah.
kookyrunner says
Oh no š So sorry to hear that your Christmas wasn’t the best, but hope that your husband is feel better. Those weird allergy flare ups can be so frustrating because they come out of nowhere!
