Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone had a nice week and holiday, if you celebrate.
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, December 21
Orangetheory Fitness – Power (45 minutes)
Peloton Elivs Ride 12/16/20 – Emma (30 minutes)
Peloton Intro to Pilates 12/16/20 – Sam (10 minutes)
The OTF class was spicy! We had a lot of intervals on the treadmill and then we worked the hell out of our legs during the floor block. The inside of my thighs were sore for a few days after this workout due to a lot of lunges and goblet squats with heavy weights. Let’s just say I felt the burn, lol. Peloton recently released a few Pilates classes so I figured I would try them out. I tried Pilates a few years ago and found it to be very difficult but the 10 minute class was the perfect amount of time.
Tuesday, December 22
Orangetheory Fitness – ESP (45 minutes)
Peloton Intro to Pilates 12/16/20 – Emma (10 minutes)
I hit two unexpected milestones – my 200th OTF class and my 200th Peloton strength workout. I had no clue that I was so close to 200 OTF workouts since we missed 3 months of workouts due to Covid, so this was a pleasant surprise AND it was a really great class too. I did another intro to Pilates class later that day and after it was over I had a new Peloton badge. I should probably do a better job of keeping track of my Peloton milestones!
Wednesday, December 23
Peloton Intro to Pilates 12/16/20 – Hannah (10 minutes)
Peloton Live DJ Run 12/18/20 – Adrian (30 minutes)
Peloton Flash 15 12/4/20 – Jess (15 minutes)
The Live DJ run was fun! Peloton has done a bunch of the live DJ rides but they was the first run. The music was good and I loved the energy between the instructor and the DJ. This was my first time taking one of the Flash 15 workouts and it was hard! It’s amazing how much you can accomplish in 15 minutes.
Thursday, December 24
Orangetheory Fitness – Strength (45 minutes)
Peloton XOXO, Cody: Festive Fantasy 12/15/20 – Cody (30 minutes)
Merry Christmas Eve! It was the Naughty or Nice workout at OTF and it was very interesting. It was kind of a mixed bag of everything – inclines on the treadmill, heavy weights on the floor and fast “all out” rows. I was also happy to see that most of the class dressed up since it was Ugly Christmas Sweater day. The XOXO Festive Fantasy ride was so much fun. Cody has a way of storytelling that makes me laugh my butt off – it was much needed! I took the ride easy since my legs were still pretty sore from my workouts during the week.
Friday, December 25
Peloton Holiday Fun Run 12/13/19 – Matty (45 minutes)
Peloton 90s Hip Hop Run 11/24/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
Merry Christmas! I finally took Matty’s holiday run from last year – the one where he dressed up as the Grinch. It was pure comedy gold and I still don’t know how he was able to run 45 minutes with that costume and makeup! I used both of these run to complete the Elf Virtual Run 10K. I also ran virtually with Michelle and Kim!
Saturday, December 26
Peloton Elvis Run 12/15/20 – Jess King (20 minutes)
Peloton Holiday Ride 12/7/20 – Kendall (20 minutes)
Peloton Caribbean Holiday Ride 12/23/20 – Ally (20 minutes)
Peloton Holiday Flash 15 12/18/20 – Jess (15 minutes)
I really didn’t feel like working out but decided to do a little bit of everything so that I wouldn’t get bored. The Elvis run wasn’t bad, but there was a glitch and the class was a minute behind what was showing on my app, so the music, distance and instructions were all off. It was kind of annoying but it was a short class so I just dealt with it. Both of the holiday rides were fun, especially the Caribbean one because of the music. The Holiday Flash 15 was soul crushing as usual, lol.
Sunday, December 27
Peloton Advanced Full Body Bootcamp 12/7/19 – Jess (60 minutes)
Peloton The Beatles Two for One Yoga Flow 12/25/20 – Kristin & Ross (60 minutes)
When I want my butt kicked for an hour, Jess always delivers! My body was screaming for some additional TLC so I decided to do a yoga class. It was fun but I think I will stick to the 15-30 minute classes – an hour was a little too long for me.
Total Weekly Mileage: 17.6 miles
Summary: 7 runs*, 1 bootcamp, 4 cycle and 10 OTF/strength/HITT classes.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs.
Peloton Artist Series Classes Progress – 190/202
Grade This Week β A
It was a low-key Christmas at my house, but that’s the norm for my family. Thankfully we all live in the same house so we were able to celebrate together. The only difference this year is that I won’t see my grandma this week because of Covid. Thank goodness for FaceTime.
I know I’ve mentioned this before but I am working on updating my WFH space in my room. To my surprise, my parents purchased me a new desk for Christmas. I’m looking forward to putting it together next week!
…and now for this week’s memes π
That’s it! I hope you had a great week π
Iβm linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Ha! That USPS meme is spot-on! It was so fun running with you and Michelle on Christmas Day <3 Congrats on all those milestone achievements with your classes. You're definitely kicking booty π I love that Christmas blazer…too festive to call it ugly!
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much #kimtwin!
Jessie says
Oh bummer your friend’s gift hasn’t arrived! Argh. But I know those deliver guys are working overtime!
I don’t think I realized you live with your parents. That’s nice you are quarantined with others!
Happy holidays Kim!
kookyrunner says
My friend finally received her gift today, lol. That package really went on a journey. I’m glad that she got it.
Yup, I moved back in with my parents a few years ago to save up money to buy a condo/house. Of course I was ready to start looking at places this year and then Covid hit, lol.
Deborah Brooks says
I currently have 2 missing USPS packages as well. Not quite sure what’s going on over there. Look at you racking up milestones and badges this week! Way to finish the week strong. Love all the holiday and festive gear. Way to make the most of the season. Happy and Merry to you and yours
kookyrunner says
There’s hope for the USPS packages! My friend got her package today…only took 3.5 weeks, but at least she actually got it!
Wendy says
That USPS meme! I sent both my sister and Holly gifts; mailed them 2 weeks ago. My sister got hers yesterday and Holly’s is nowhere to be found. Two-day priority mail, my ass!
Love all your festive gear, as always!
kookyrunner says
That’s so frustrating! My friend did end up getting her gift today so there’s hope! It took 3.5 weeks to get to her but I’m just happy she received it.
Beckett @ Birchwood Pie says
Congrats on 200 x 2!!!
kookyrunner says
Thanks!!
Marcia says
Congrats on the fitness milestones! That is awesome. What a cute and festive family picture. That USPS meme is total TRUTH!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Marcia! I was surprised by both milestones – it gave me some excitement this week lol.
USPS has had a hard time this holiday season but hopefully things will get a little better now that the holidays are over.
Lisa @ TechChick Adventures says
Our USPS mail has been so super slow! We did have one gift that hasn’t arrived yet and my daughter just received something that was stuck at the Detroit post office for several weeks. They are just so swamped! Glad you liked the Pilates class. I had a different Peloton instructor. Maybe I would have liked Hannah better!
kookyrunner says
Yeah, USPS has really had a hard time the past few weeks. I’m hoping that things will get a little better now that the holidays are over. I know the big hubs – Detroit, Cleveland, NY, Indy, etc – had tons and tons of boxes so it will probably take them weeks to go through all those orders.
Lisa @ Mile by Mile says
I love your family’s outfits! Great job this week. Glad you had a nice low-key Christmas. My in-laws sent us cards around December 8th and we still haven’t gotten them. It’s been crazy this year!
kookyrunner says
Thanks! They always say I go overboard when it comes to holidays but I’m slowly getting them to be as crazy as me haha.
Coco says
That USPS meme is spot-on! I finally got my last two orders yesterday β both of which were purchased TG weekend.
Your recaps remind me of the Peloton classes I still want to take β especially Adrianβs DJ run and Matty as the Grinch – oh, my!
I hope you have a great week!
kookyrunner says
I’m glad that you finally got your orders! My friend got her box today – finally!
I am SO behind on Peloton classes. I feel like they released a whole bunch of classes this month. There were still holiday classes I wanted to take from 2019, lol. Matty as the Grinch was a good time – he’s such a joy!
Jenn says
Merry Christmas!
I don’t know, Kim. You can run a turkey trot in a full turkey suit. I don’t see that a grinch suit would be too much harder, right???
I’m glad you had a good holiday. I think we all needed something good.
kookyrunner says
LOL π Very true about the turkey costume – but that was a hot mess, lol. Thank goodness I only had to run in it for around 20 minutes of the class.
Zenaida Arroyo says
You seriously have the best outfits! They always make me smile. π That is exciting about the new desk. I am sure it will help the working from home situation. I used to work in the kitchen but then moved to another room (and set it up) once I knew I would be working from home a bit longer. Best thing I did!
kookyrunner says
Thanks! Yeah, I’m looking forward to getting the desk set up and started off the new year with a brand new space – it’s exciting!
Michelle @ Running with Attitude says
That USPS meme is the truth!
Congrats on your milestones! And so happy we got to run “together” π
Sounds like I need to check out Matty’s Grinch class. I finally did his Mara class for my Christmas run and he just makes me laugh the whole time!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Michelle! Love that we were able to run together on Christmas π
Matty’s Grinch class was from last year so I was a little late in taking it (lol) but it was hilarious. His Mara classes for Halloween and Christmas this year were just awesome!
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
So glad that you were able to celebrate with the majority of your family! Love your holiday outfits.
Congrats on your 200 OTF & Peloton. I have a long way to go to hit a milestone with Peloton. Because I cheat (I still Pahla B for strength training, and of course I do other Yoga).
Don’t even get me started on the packages. It took a month to get a Gap order that I placed before Black Friday. Other packages arrive on time. A scarf I ordered sat here over a week because it said I agreed to pick it up, which I did not, emailed the company twice, took them over a week to answer and by that time it got sent back I requested a refund & am waiting to see what happens.
And one last one seems to have gotten lost in Indiana somewhere.
I do have great compassion for delivery people, though. It is definitely not a job I would ever want to do, not even when times are good!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Judy! The Peloton milestones tend to sneak up on you. So sorry that you’ve had so many issue with packages the past few weeks π I will say that there still hope as my friend finally got her package today…it took 3.5 weeks but I’m just happy she finally got it. Hopefully things will get better now that the holiday rush is over.
Liz Dexter says
Another super strong week and congratulations on that milestone! Love your family pic and I ran with you in spirit on Christmas morning, too, just when you were asleep! Happy New Year!
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much Liz! Hope you had a nice Christmas π
Darlene S Cardillo says
You have the best outfits!!
A desk is a great gift. Mine is very old. like over 20 years.
I didn’t buy as much so no problems with gift orders,
Congrats on your milestones!!
kookyrunner says
Thanks! I’m looking forward to putting the desk together this week and having more space to work.
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
Great job on your workouts and how fun that Michelle, Kim, and you ran” together.” I love our little group of blogging friends and how Covid has brought us closer together! At least that’s one good thing to come out of 2020.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Debbie! Even though there are no in-person races near me, it’s nice to be able to run virtually with friends π I do agree that one good thing to come out of 2020 is that my friendships have gotten stronger.
