Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone had a good week. While this week felt long, it didn’t feel as super stressful as last week so I’m thankful for that! It was nice to have a week that felt normal for once!
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, November 9
Peloton Hike 9/11/20 – Jess (30 minutes)
Peloton Bon Jovi Ride 11/1/20 – Kendall (45 minutes)
Peloton 2000’s Ride 7/16/20 – Tunde (15 minutes)
Never miss a Monday! I woke up with an achy foot so I decided that a day off from running was necessary. I still wanted to get in my steps for the day so I opted for a hike class and then spent an hour on the bike.
Tuesday, November 10
Peloton Advanced Full Body Bootcamp 10/24/20 – Jess (60 minutes)
Jess never disappoints with her bootcamps, especially the advanced once. They always push me to my limit, which I love. This class really focused on Turkish getups which are hard to master but I love the challenge.
Wednesday, November 11
Orangetheory Fitness – Power (45 minutes)
Peloton Beyonce Two For One Ride 11/9/20 – Alex & Tunde (30 minutes)
Peloton Beyonce Meditation 11/11/20 – Chelsea (10 minutes)
The OTF class had a very different type of format, but it was still a good power day workout. I also really enjoyed the Beyonce Two For One ride once I got back from class. The energy from both instructors was awesome! I did the meditation class to help me wind down before bed.
Thursday, November 12
Orangetheory Fitness – ESP (45 minutes)
Peloton Emeli Sande Ride 10/27/20 – Hannah F (30 minutes)
I came very close to bailing on this class because I was pretty sleepy but I’m happy that I ended up going. I always like the ESP workouts because you get a little bit of everything. The Emeli Sandeeps ride was just okay – the music was kind of blah.
Friday, November 13
Peloton Advanced Arms & Shoulders Bootcamp 1/18/20 – Jess (60 minutes)
Grateful Dead Yoga Flow 11/4/20 – Denis (30 minutes)
My arms were certainly feeling the burn after this bootcamp class! I did the yoga class later on in the evening since my body felt a little tight and achy.
Saturday, November 14
Peloton Beyonce Ride 11/13/20 – Ally (30 minutes)
Peloton Beyonce Run 11/12/20 – Robin (20 minutes)
Peloton Beyonce Full Body Strength 11/12/20 – Robin (20 minutes)
I loved all of these Beyonce themed classes. All of the instructors really bought something different to each class and of course the music was amazing.
I volunteered at a no-contact food drive later that morning. All volunteers wore masks and gloves and we kept our distance as much as possible. People were able to drive up, pop their trunk and then we removed the donations from their cars. It was safe and very well organized. We also split up the donations into different categories (household items, canned goods, breakfast items, etc) so that it would be easy to box up the items. We wanted everything to be boxed up so that the food pantry could just load the boxes into their van once the food drive was over. The holiday season is going to be rough for so many people this year so it felt good to be able to help out in this way.
Sunday, November 15
Orangetheory Fitness – Power (45 minutes)
Peloton Beyonce Yoga Flow 11/11/20 – Chelsea (30 minutes)
Today’s power workout was really good – sprint intervals on the treadmill and heavier weights during the floor block. Followed that up with a Beyonce themed yoga class after I ate brunch. It was hands down my favorite yoga class ever.
Total Weekly Mileage: 11.7 miles
Summary: 6 runs*, 2 bootcamps, 5 cycle and 4 OTF/strength/HITT classes.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs.
Peloton Artist Series Classes Progress – 168/173
Grade This Week – A
As I mentioned earlier, it felt nice to have a normal week with our any crazy work surprises. The world is still crazy, but I’ll take my small slice of normalcy 🙂
If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen a poll that I ran earlier in the week. I am looking to upgrade my turkey costume for my Thanksgiving Day workouts but couldn’t choose between the two. Option B was the clear winner so I ordered that costume on Friday to make sure it arrives before Thanksgiving. It will be interesting doing an OTF class while wearing it, haha.
…and now for this week’s memes 🙂 Thanks so Wendy for sending me some memes this week!
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Normal? Can you send some of that my way? The ‘rona is everywhere around me, it seems… I’m glad you were able to volunteer at that food drive. It’s very needed right now.
Haha, your meme game is always on point. Keep them coming!
kookyrunner says
As normal as things can be during a global pandemic I guess, lol. Covid is definitely back with a vengeance but luckily it doesn’t really effect how I do things since I pretty much stay home anyway, except for OTF and my weekly grocery store trips.
Deborah Brooks says
it does feel good to have normal activities and weeks thrown into all this chaos! I felt normal eating outside w my friends for a few hours this week. Good for you for volunteering at the food drive. Love your variety of workouts as always. Have a great week!
kookyrunner says
Yes! And just having a normal week did wonders for my anxiety as well.
Beckett @ Birchwood Pie says
Nice week! Normal is good. I will be very glad to trade fighting the virus in for fighting work to stay home in my sweatpants.
kookyrunner says
Definitely! I think that normalcy is underrated but I’m all about it, especially after this year.
Darlene S Cardillo says
Normal is good.
Great job volunteering. Everyone including me needs to do more of that. We take so much for granted.
Can’t wait to see you in a Thanksgiving pic.
I ran a race today…the closest I’ve been to normal since Feb!
kookyrunner says
I haven’t done any in-person volunteering since February so it felt odd but it was safe and I’m glad I was able to help out for a few hours.
Melissa says
Yes, normal IS GOOD! It is also confusing right now. When I do normalthings, I almost forget the insanity which is nice for a little bit.
Those Beyonce classes sound amazing!
kookyrunner says
I agree! Sometimes it can feel odd to do something that was considered normal earlier in the year.
Michelle @ Running with Attitude says
Nice to have some normal!
I love your stack from Saturday – I’m looking forward to taking the rest of the Beyonce classes.
Thanks for volunteering! The number of people facing food insecurity is really scary.
kookyrunner says
It’s so sad how many people are facing food insecurity this year, especially around the holidays 🙁
Marcia says
Great work on the food drive. I’m going to be volunteering with Thing 1 doing the same thing the first week of December. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. Love your new turkey costume!
kookyrunner says
That’s awesome! I was a little nervous about volunteering but it really did feel safe. I hope that you and your daughter have a good experience in December!
Coco says
I love the grocery store meme! And the feet on costume B are EVERYTHING! Did you do all the Beyonce classes — except the Bootcamp? I did the 2 for 1 ride and the outdoor run. I’ve got some catching up to do!
kookyrunner says
I love the feet on costume B! I think I’ll need to do a test run on my treadmill to see how the whole costume feels. Yup, so far I’ve done all the Beyonce classes except for the bootcamp which I’ll do a little later on today. Ally’s ride was really good!
Kimberly Hatting says
How did I miss the costume survey??? Well, you will look smashing in the winning choice 😉 I’m glad things feel more normal in your world…we all need a little of that, don’t we?
kookyrunner says
I’m looking forward to trying on the costume once it’s delivered on Wednesday. I might need to do a test run on the treadmill, lol.
Lisa @ Mile by Mile says
Lol to all those memes! Your costume is gonna be great, can’t wait to see it!
kookyrunner says
I’ll be sure to take a lot of photos lol
Farrah says
haha, I love all the memes. I’m so glad this Friday the 13th wasn’t too bad. ._. I really miss travel/vacations too though. :[ That cat one made me snicker though, heheh.
Props to you for volunteering at the food drive–it’s so needed right now!
kookyrunner says
I definitely miss travel too but hopefully things will be much better this time next year.
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
Wait, what, Peloton Hike? I’m guessing it’s all about hills, though. The incline on my treadmill doesn’t work. It’s all I’ve got so I don’t want to have Mr. Judy mess with it unless it’s really necessary! Otherwise he’ll have another big bill he doesn’t want.
Thank you for working on the food drive! You have such a good heart, Kim.
I think I’ve said it a time or two, but my last 5 day vacation was 2/19 (not a typo). I don’t see anything on the horizon, your meme might be scarily true, sadly. Hope not!
kookyrunner says
Yup, all about the inclines on the treadmill for the Peloton hike but it was a nice change of pace! I think my last vacation was in November 2019 – yikes!
Jenn says
You really do make the most of those Peloton workouts! Awesome!
I love your new turkey! That’s going to be hilariously awesome.
I’m so not in the Thanksgiving mood this year. I have to snap out of it. Really, I do.
kookyrunner says
Same here – I’m really trying to force myself to get into the Thanksgiving spirit this year, but it’s hard!
Zenaida Arroyo says
The last meme is my favorite!
The last Friday the 13th was our last day in the classroom. I clearly remember that day. I had NO idea it would be the way it is now.
I love that you volunteered at the food drive.
Wait, what Peloton Hike?
kookyrunner says
Yup! For the hike you just put the incline high on the treadmill, lol.
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
My clients don’t like it when I add Turkish getups into their workouts; good for you for taking them on with gusto!
Your memes this week are outstanding!
kookyrunner says
Those Turkish getups never get easier!
