Happy Sunday! Another week down 🙂 Unlike last week, this week felt SUPER long. On the plus side, I completed one huge project at work so I’m happy that’s now off my plate. By the end of next week I should be done with another project. Keeping my fingers crossed things will level out after that!
Another pretty good week of workouts. I’m still finding that balance between cycling, running and strength training.
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, April 20
Peloton Pride Bootcamp 6/21/18 – Matty (45 minutes)
Treadmill Run (15 minutes)
Lunchtime Walk (40 minutes)
#nevermissamonday! Started off the week with a really fun bootcamp class. The class had 2 treadmill blocks and 2 strength blocks. When I finished I ran for 15 minutes to round out an hour of sweat.
Tuesday, April 21
Peloton Latin Ride 10/4/18 – Hannah (20 minutes)
2 mile run
Deborah’s Jump Rope Workout
I’m going to be 100% honest – I didn’t feel like working out. I had a really bad night’s sleep and I was tired, but I knew I would regret not working out. I didn’t have a game plan when I hit my basement but ultimately settle on a mix of workouts which was just fine.
Also, I totally underestimated the jump rope workout, lol. I was happy to get through 2 rounds and it reminded me that I should probably not go years without using my jump rope.
No lunchtime walk as it started raining about 2 minutes after I left my house so I had to turn around and come back.
Wednesday, April 22
Peloton 2000s Hip Hop Ride 11/13/19 – Alex (45 minutes)
Peloton Chest & Back Strength 2/14/20 – Oliver (15 minutes)
Afternoon Walk (20 minutes)
I finally hit the 200 cycle class milestone! Usually I try to take a live class (live from the bike, not studio) when I know it’s a milestone, but since that’s not an option, I picked this class. I loved the playlist and Alex is one of my favorite instructors. Also I need all of his positive energy when I’m on the bike before 7am. After the ride I did a 15 minute chest and back strength class and it was a killer – talk about feel the burn!
Thursday, April 23
4 mile run
Nothing really to report about this run. My legs were tired so it was a little rough toward the end but I got it done and that’s what counts!
Friday, April 24
Peloton UK Celebration Ride 9/24/19 – Ben (20 minutes)
HIIT Workout (32 minutes) Details Below
Peloton 90s Fun Walk 7/11/19 – Jess (30 minutes)
I knew I wanted to do a HIIT style workout, so I just wrote down a bunch of moves that I like to do and made it into a workout. I’m obviously not a coach so who knows if this was actually effective, but my arms were on fire by the end and I got a really good sweat so I’m calling that a win!
It rained pretty much all day so I did a fun walk on the treadmill after logging off work for the day.
Saturday, April 25
3.1 mile run.
I was originally hoping for around 5 or 6 miles but my body was so sore from Friday’s workout! I was happy with 3.1 miles, and I ran “virtually” with Kim which was fun!
Sunday, April 26
Peloton HIIT Ride: Live From Home 4/24/20 – Alex (30 minutes)
Peloton Cool Down Ride 8/1/19 – Alex (10 minutes)
Peloton Core Strength 4/6/20 – Robin (5 minutes)
Peloton Full Body Strength 3/31/20 – Becs (10 minutes)
Originally I thought about doing a short run and some strength training, but it’s another rainy day here so I opted to do a few Peloton classes. This week, some of the instructors started teaching live from their homes – how cool is that?! Unfortunately the times never work with my schedule on weekdays so I can’t take them live, but I was able to take Alex’s live class from Friday today. He had some technical difficulties while teaching the ride but handled it like a champ and the class was really good! I followed up the class with a cool down ride, core work and a full body strength class.
Total Weekly Mileage: 12.6 miles
Summary: 4 runs*, 5 cycle class and 6 Strength workouts.
*I include running from my OTF workouts and stand alone runs as well.
Grade This Week – A
Except for Saturday, the weather was so crappy this week! So much wind and rain – fingers crossed that this week is better 🙂 Also my sleep was not good at al this week. I know I have a lot of my mind so I’m going to try to focus on relaxing a little bit longer before I climb into bed to go to sleep. Some nights I take 5-10 minute sleep meditation classes before bed and those help sometimes. Other than that, I’m also going to try to limit my screen time before bed too. I’ve gotta figure this out because waking up every hour is really not fun.
This morning I had to go to the supermarket because we literally had no vegetables in the house so I stocked up and I FINALLY found spinach! I was soooooo happy! I would have purchased more but these were their last two packages.
…and because I always like to end my post with a little humor..
It was very frustrating when a certain person gave a press conference later in the week and provided information that literally MADE NO SENSE, but at least some funny memes came out of it.
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Well done on all the Peloton workouts! Amazing!
I wish we had a bit of your rainy weather over here. It hasn’t rained for 6 weeks and the farmers are worried. We are expecting some rain next week, fortunately.
Yay for finding spinach, haha!
Hope you’ll be sleeping better this week! Your strategy sounds good.
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much! The Peloton workouts have been great over the pas few weeks.
Wow – it hasn’t rained for 6 weeks there? That’s a long time but thank goodness rain is expected this week!
Beckett @ Birchwood Pie says
Congrats on a strong week! Cheers to quarantine coffee!
kookyrunner says
Thanks!
Wendy says
It’s funny how some people–like you–have been so busy during this time! My sister has been drowning in work. Glad you’re seeing some things come to an end.
Love your memes–and omg! our leader? I seriously can’t take much more, especially seeing people defend him…
kookyrunner says
I never imagined I would be this crazy busy during this time. It really caught my off guard!
I really cannot take much more of him. It’s so infuriating that someone that dumb is allowed to speak to the public. Then he said he was “just joking”? Yeah right.
Kimberly Hatting says
I Hope your legs are all healed up and ready for another week! I’m usually a terrible sleeper, but my early-week workouts did a number on my consciousness…I slept well for a few nights LOL It was fun walking and running with you this week 😉
kookyrunner says
My body is still pretty sore from Friday’s workout, lol. Oh well, it will go away soon I’m sure.
Deborah Brooks says
Thanks so much for clueing me into Alex’s rides. That ride from home was killer the other day-I loved it. You have also convinced me that I need to give the bootcamps a try. I am scared but I am going to do it this week! the jump rope workout is so challenging. I need to do that again this week too. We are all going to be bad ass stronger after this whole thing! thanks for linking up and sharing your funny memes
kookyrunner says
You’re welcome! Once you do a bootcamp class, let me know what you think 🙂 I like Jess’s and Matty’s bootcamp classes the best because they always have great music.
Marcia says
Peloton is most definitely serving you well through this pandemic! Congrats on 200! As you probably know from my IG posts, our weather here was total crap this week, except for today. It’s really wearing on me. Hooray for spinach!
kookyrunner says
Totally agree – the crappy weather this week made me a little cranky. Hopefully we will both see more sunshine in the forecast this week! 🙂
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
You had another strong week! I think I’ll bring that Quarantine coffee to Friday’s ultimate coffee linkup! LOL
kookyrunner says
LOL I’m going to have some quarantine coffee with dinner shortly 🙂
Michelle @ Running with Attitude says
Fantastic job with all of your workouts!
And thank you for the great memes – you definitely had me laughing…and now I’m thinking a need to have a Quarantine Coffee soon 😉
Congrats on completing one of your work projects! I hope things start to settle down for you!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Michelle! I had a quarantine coffee with dinner last night and it was delicious, lol.
Darlene S Cardillo says
You are a working out machine.
Week 6? That’s all. I’m so over this!!
And I need that quarantine coffee.
kookyrunner says
Right? It feels like we’ve been working from home for months but it’s only been 1.5 months. That’s crazy to me.
Coco says
You had a solid week of workouts! I love seeing which Peleton classes you are doing now. I think I did that same 5 min core one …. I love the quarantine coffee recipe, but I’ll save our bleach for the laundry and hope poison control didn’t have an uptick in calls after that. 🙁 They are using high strength hydrogen peroxide gas to disinfect things — like the insides of ambulances — which I think is cool, but I know the difference between my insides and the inside of an ambulance.
Fun to connect with Kim while you ran!
kookyrunner says
Thanks! I also like seeing other Peloton classes that people do as well so I figured I might as well share mine too in case they inspire others to try them out.
Yes, here’s hoping that people have enough common sense to not inject or drink bleach. I can’t believe this is actually a concern in 2020 but here we are 🙁
Lisa @ Mile by Mile says
I think we all need some of that quarantine coffee these days, lol! Great job getting in so may workouts this week. Hopefully things quiet down for you with work soon! I find it so much more stressful to be busy with work stuff right now because its so much harder to get things done and connect with people as efficiently as when we were all in the office.
kookyrunner says
For sure! I had quarantine coffee with dinner last night and it was nice way to end the week. I also did some meal prep so I feel like I conquered the weekend, lol.
Since WFH daily I feel like there is a blur between personal and professional and I’m just spending way too much time on my laptop.
Liz Dexter says
Great job with all those workouts! You are getting the value out of your Peleton and you had of course built a good routine already. I have been running but nothing else so am going to start building a few minutes of squats etc into each day now. I haven’t put on too much weight, (snacking vs worrying has kept me balanced, I imagine!) but I have got more fat percentage so need to start squatting and waving some weights around.
kookyrunner says
Same here! I think I’ve gained about 2 lbs sine being home so not a huge deal but my fat percentage has gone up so I need to get that back down. I really can’t wait to get back to OTF so that I can get in those great HIIT workouts. I try to do something similar at home but it’s just not the same.
Chelsea says
YAY for spinach!! I love adding spinach to my smoothies. I’ve been freezing tons of it so it doesn’t go bad too fast.
LOLOL at those memes! If anything good has come out of these days it’s definitely been the memes! 🙂
Awesome job on your workouts this week. I’ve been loving the One Peloton app too! I need to try one of their strength classes for sure.
Happy Monday!!
kookyrunner says
Same here! It’s the only leafy vegetable I like to add to my smoothies so I missed not making smoothies for a few weeks.
The funny memes are keeping me laughing during these crazy times!
Jennifer @ Fit Nana says
Hooray for finding spinach! I just snagged a couple containers myself the other day! It surprises me what I can’t find sometimes. I guess I should be happy people are eating their veggies. lol
That’s a solid week of working out! I really should invest in a Peloton. Maybe when my husband finally comes home….
kookyrunner says
Right?! I was like why is there no spinach – this is so crazy!
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
Congrats on your 200th P ride! That seemed quick (to me, I didn’t have to do them). Also congrats on finding spinach. Trying to decide if I want to tackle TJs tomorrow, it’s been so long I know i’ll be disappointed if I can’t get what I want (btw, it used to be grocery stores restocked on Tuesdays, not sure if that’s still the case).
I also enjoy your memes. OMG, I can’t even with him some times. Seriously, why did we have to live through this with HIM??????
kookyrunner says
The memes are the best part of ALL of this craziness! Usually I do a great job of ignoring HIM but when I heard about that press conference, I couldn’t believe it!
Jenn says
If ANYTHING good came out of the virus, it was the memes. MEMES!
It’s ok to not feel like working out and I think it’s ok to make up your own routine from time to time. Coach or not, it’s ok to do what you want to do. I think you have so many structured workouts, that you deserve to make time for a bit of a dance party.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Jenn 🙂 I feel like I want to start adding 1 minute dance parties to the end of every workout. I did it again today and it was so much fun, lol.
Janelle @ Run With No Regrets says
Great job with your workouts! Peloton seems to have it all at your fingertips!
Ugh, rough sleep is the worst. This past month it seems like my sleep has been the worst since baby E was born, I wake up more frequently than she does. I hope things get better for you.
I’m glad you got your spinach!!
kookyrunner says
I hope that sleeping goes better for you too! It’s so crazy how great I feel after a good night’s sleep – whenever that happens, lol.
Jessie says
Quarantine coffee 🙂 I love it.
I love how many different workouts you have on hand with the Peloton.
Awesome job getting the work project done- what a good feeling.
kookyrunner says
Quarantine coffee is the best, lol.
Lisa @ TechChick Adventures says
Bahaha! thanks for the laughs. I had a really good quarantine coffee last night with my Chipotle. Yum, strawberry!! Great workout this week. I will have to put a bootcamp class on my workouts this week. They look good! I’m still shocked they don’t give me a shoutout… “hey Lisa, you’ve made it to 16 classes. WOW, way to go!!!” I’m still hopeful though 😉
kookyrunner says
Happy I could provide some comic relief with the memes 🙂
Chaitali says
Sounds like you had a lot of fun Peloton classes last week! And we’ve had a lot of rainy weather recently too. I’m with you in crossing my fingers for better weather this week.
kookyrunner says
Same here! We had rain all day yesterday but today has been beautiful.
Black Knight says
You are working hard …. training and job!
I also love the spinach.
Stay safe.
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much!

Clorox chewables. <3 I would take a margarita coffee about now
I thought of you when my Peapod order came with spinach the other day.
kookyrunner says
Margarita coffee is hands down my favorite type of coffee, lol
