Happy Sunday! Another week of #quarantinelife is in the books. This week wasn’t too bad AND I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel at work. This makes me so happy!
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, May 4
Peloton 80s Fun Walk 4/2/20 – Olivia (20 minutes)
Peloton Club Bangers Ride: Live From Home 5/1/20 – Alex (30 minutes)
Peloton Full Body: Live From Home 4/27/20 – Robin (20 minutes)
Peloton HIIT Cardio 4/10/20 – Jess (10 minutes)
May the 4th be with you! Sorry, I had to do it, lol.
My legs were super sore from the bootcamp class I took the previous day, so I knew that running would not be an option. I decided to warm up by doing a walk on the treadmill and then I took Alex’s Club Bangers ride. The music was amazing as usual! Since I still had time (and energy) to get in another workout before logging in for work, I took a quick strength training class with Robin, and finished with a high-intensity cardio HITT class. It was a good way to start off the day/week. #nevermissamonday
Tuesday, May 5
Virtual 5K to Outrun Hunger
Peloton My Mixtape Ride: Live From Home 5/3/20 – Jenn (30 minutes)
I ran a virtual 5K to raise funds for a local charity, Filling in the Blanks. The organization helps fight childhood hunger by providing children in need with meals on the weekends. They have seen an increase in demand since COVID-19 so it was nice to raise money for them. The virtual race raised over $6,000! I took a 30 min cycle class after my run and I didn’t love it. Jenn was great but I just didn’t love the music.
Wednesday, May 6
Peloton Pop Bootcamp 3/28/20 – Jess (60 minutes)
Peloton Core Strength 2/17/20 – Cody (5 minutes)
Nothing like a good bootcamp class to start off the day! The music was great and I loved the variation of bodyweight exercises on the floor.
Thursday, May 7
Peloton Hip Hop Fun Walk 11/21/19 – Chase (20 minutes)
Peloton New Tracks Ride: Live From Home 5/6/20 – Alex (30 minutes)
Peloton Sweat Steady Ride: Live From Home 5/2/20 – Jess (30 minutes)
Peloton Core Strength 2/5/20 – Robin (5 minutes)
A little bit of everything. Sometimes when I’m not sure what type of workout I want to do, I hop on the treadmill for a fun walk before getting started. After my walk was done I decided to do a few cycle classes.
Friday, May 8
#IRUNWITHMAUD 2.23 Dedication Run
OTF at Home Workout – Endurance
This was a very hard run. I ran 2.23 miles in honor of Ahmaud Arbery. By now, I’m sure that you have all heard the story so I won’t repeat it here but it’s just such an awful tragedy and my heart breaks for his family and friends. I hope his murderers are bought to justice quickly.
Saturday, May 9
Peloton Lizzo Ride 8/2/19 – Robin (30 minutes)
Peloton Lizzo Fun Run 9/3/19 – Jess (30 minutes)
Mother Nature decided to throw us a cold front in May. Honestly I wasn’t even surprised because the year has just been so crazy, but waking up to a real feel of 20 degrees made me move my workout indoors.
Peloton is offering up a new badge quest for certain classes. The Lizzo classes counted toward the new quest so I decided to hope on the treadmill and the bike to take them, and both were super fun!
Sunday, May 10
Virtual Red Dress Run 5K
Peloton Full Body Strength: Live From Home 5/9/20 – Jess (30 minutes)
Peloton Full Body Stretch 3/15/20 – Jess (10 minutes)
This morning I did the Virtual Red Dress Run 5K. A portion of the proceeds go to Hartford Interval House to support their mission to end domestic violence. Always nice to run to support a good cause. After the run I did a full body strength class followed up by a stretch class.
Also, Happy Mother’s Day to all the awesome moms out there, especially mine!
Total Weekly Mileage: 14.43 miles
Summary: 5 runs*, 5 cycle class, 3 strength workouts and 1 OTF at Home workout.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs as well.
Grade This Week ā A
Not too much to report this week! I had a chance to catch up with my best friends via a Zoom call on Tuesday night. It was really nice and we spent about 3 hours talking and catching up on everything! We also each had margaritas on while on the call since it was Cinco de Mayo so things got a little crazy toward the end LOL.
Work is starting to even out a bit and I think I’ll be back to working normal hours but the end of this week. I already feel less stressed and it’s such a great feeling.
…and because I always like to end my post with a little humor..
That’s it! I hope you had a great week š
Iām linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Yep you nailed my 2020 travel plans! Glad that work is leveling off for you, I never want to complain about having a job but DANG work has been just a little intense for a while. Thank goodness we have running to take the edge off.
kookyrunner says
Yeah, totally agree with you about work. I’m always thankful to have a job but man these past few weeks have been BRUTAL and I’m happy to get back to a little bit if normalcy.
Catrina says
You are the queen of Peloton workouts! Well done!
Plus the two charity runs and dedication run – awesome.
I’m glad to hear work is calming down slowly. You deserve a break!
kookyrunner says
Awwe you’re so sweet! I do really enjoy the Peloton workouts, especially now!
Lisa @ TechChick Adventures says
LOL, the dishes!!!! Ok, that’s really good. I love all of the pictures of you and your Mom. She seems super cool!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Lisa! Yeah my mommy is pretty cool š I love that she’s into fitness too.
Deborah Brooks says
Your memes really made me laugh today!! Look at your crushing those virtual races and a butt load of Peloton classes #Quarantoned thanks for linking and have a great week
kookyrunner says
Good! I always hope that the memes make people laugh as much as I laugh at them, LOL.
Ohh I like that hashtag!!
Michelle @ Running with Attitude says
Those memes all made me laugh š
I’m glad to hear that work is finally slowing down for you.
Great to catch up with you on Friday! Have a great week!
kookyrunner says
So glad that the memes made you laugh!
So great to chat with you on Friday! Can’t wait to do it again soon.
Kimberly Hatting says
Great memes, I especially LOVE the one about people just not being happy LOL So true…these people need to keep their glasses half full. I seldom drink, and the hubby made me a strong margarita for Cinco de Mayo…I drank half of it and was “asleep” on the couch by 7:30. Honestly, I don’t know how people drink daily and function LOL Such great pics of your sweet mom…you’re so lucky to have her do so many races with you š Another solid week of workouts for you! Great job!!
kookyrunner says
That meme was my favorite, and the fact that my friend who is an EMT posted it made it even that much funnier. Some people are just determined to be unhappy no matter what! I had 2 margaritas on Cinco de Mayo and the definitely help me get a lot of sleep that night, lol. If I do drink it’s only on the weekends because there is always a 90% change it will make me go to sleep early.
Marcia says
You ran for some great causes this week! I swear you have the best memes! Haha! I agree with you: The crap weather doesn’t even phase me anymore. It’s the least my my concern!
kookyrunner says
Memes are getting me through quarantine, lol.
Lisa @ Mile by Mile says
Great week of workouts! I cant believe how cold it was this weekend. Its nice to have options for working out indoors, even without a gym to use!
kookyrunner says
Right?! I was happy that we didn’t get snow but it was super windy.
Coco says
Love the memes – I feel the travel one since we were āsupposedā to be in Switzerland this week to make up for me having to work through Christmas/New Years and my dish rack is looking like that every day!
Now I get why you do all those Peloton workouts. I really like Jess Simsā classes and Chase Tuckerās.
I do hope work settles down for you!
kookyrunner says
Ugh, so sorry about the Switzerland trip. I hope that you are able to re-schedule it for 2021!
Jess and Chase are both really great – I really like their strength training classes.
Wendy says
Those memes, lol!!! Orange juice and toothpaste about sums it up. I’m just so tired of the bickering, the conspiracy theories, and the outrage…
Thank goodness for our workouts!
kookyrunner says
haha right? The OJ and toothpaste meme was so perfect for this year.
Darlene S Cardillo says
Love all your memes.
Another active week – Congrats and two virtual 5ks!!
It was so cold on Saturday and my b-day…that was uncalled for.
Still on the bright side, I have a paycheck (for now) and my family and friends are healthy.
On the week 9 of WFH!!
kookyrunner says
Very true! I’m really thankful that I’m able to work from home and still get a paycheck as I know many people don’t have that option right now.
Chaitali says
Thatās good news that work should be back to normal hours soon! Iāve been enjoying the peloton at home classes as well š
kookyrunner says
So happy that you are enjoying the Peloton classes!
Chris Tiley says
I’ve heard great things about Peleton. I’d love to have the bike at home, especially this year.
I’ve been working on trying to run based on my heart rate. I’m trying to run 5km without my heart rate rising above 160bpm. Even at a frustratingly slow pace I can’t run it continuously yet. I’m down to walking 3 times, it was 12 times the first time I tried it.
kookyrunner says
You can use the Peloton app with your current bike if you do not want to purchase their bike. I take a lot of their treadmill classes with my current non-Peloton treadmill at home and it works out great!
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
I always appreciate your memes, Kim! They definitely make me laugh.
And I love how your mom always seems up for just about anything.
I’m so glad that work is beginning to slow down for you!
kookyrunner says
That’s great – thanks Judy! I figure we all need some good laughs, especially now!
Montana @ Pretty Lil Mudder says
I LOVE your memes lol you find the best ones! My favorite was that “where do you see yourself in 5 years? June 2020” one haha! That was great!
Sometimes I enjoy taking multiple different classes on Peloton and mixing it up too. Sorry about that bird but that meme was hilarious too haha.
I also love how many virtual runs for charity you are doing! What a great way to give back!
kookyrunner says
Haha that one was so good! I can’t believe that we’re not even halfway through 2020 year. This is truly the longest year ever.
Jessie says
SO true about the people who are complaining about having to wear a mask! So disrespectful to those that are essential and putting their lives at risk. Argh.
Can’t believe NYC was that cold!!! So weird.
kookyrunner says
Ugh! Don’t get me started on the people making such a big deal about wearing a mask in public spaces, so annoying!
Jenn says
If anything good came of this pandemic, it’s the memes. There are some super classic ones and I am here for them.
Another great week for you. Sorry about the bird. That has to be crazy annoying!
kookyrunner says
Thankfully I haven’t heard the bird for a few days so I’ve been able to “sleep in” lol
Liz Dexter says
Good work and love the pics of you and your mom! I love how many charity events you did. I’m sure you’ll be heartened to know that here in the UK we ranwithMaud, too, I put some of the middle miles of my run into it. It so sickened me that this could happen, just vile.
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much Liz! I am finding that I need a little bit of a push when it comes to my running these days. If I know I’m running for a charity it actually makes me want to run. And yes, so happy to hear that you supported the irunwithmaud movement from the UK! Thank you for the support.
Janelle @ Run With No Regrets says
You had a great week of workouts! The virtual races are always nice. I finally signed up for a couple that will be towards the end of the month.
Your mom is awesome, I was so happy to get to meet her! I love that you guys run and workout together!
kookyrunner says
That’s great! I’m finding that I need a little push to get out and run these days so the virtual races are helping. I just signed up for the un-canceled project, part 2, as well.
Heather Hart says
The memes, I love them! Looks like you had an awesome training week! I’ve probably said this already on your blog, but I’m getting mega Peleton fomo, seemingly everyone has one!
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
You had another great week of workouts – virtual high five!
Oh my, that Expectation/Reality meme is hilarious!
I hope your mom had a great Mother’s Day – love the pictures of you two.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Debbie!
Laetitia says
That Sydney Opera meme!!! Too funny (except so sad because so true lol) And i love all the pictures with your mom. I hope she had a great mother’s day.
kookyrunner says
haha right?! I laughed but then I was like this sucks because we really aren’t gonna be traveling anywhere this year.
Zenaida Arroyo says
Where do you get all of the energy to do all of your workouts!?!? Seriously girl. š I love the pictures of your mom. I hope she had a great Mother’s Day.
kookyrunner says
Some days I have no energy but working out always energizes me!
