Happy Sunday! It took some time but I think I’m finally in the holiday spirit. We finished decorating the house, I’m almost done with my holiday shopping and have wrapped a few presents. I also used up vacation days on Thursday and Friday so I’m sure not sitting in front of a computer screen for 8-10 hours each day helped accelerate my holiday spirit, lol. Here’s how my workout went this week.
Monday, December 6
Warm Up Walk 9/3/19 – Andy (10 minutes)
Saturday60: 90s Pop 12/4/21 – Jess (60 minutes)
AC/DC Ride 12/4/21 – Mayla (30 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Core Strength 12/6/21 – Robin (15 minutes)
#nevermissamonday! I really enjoyed this stack! Also Peloton dropped a bunch of ‘stacking stuffer’ classes – all are 15 minutes which makes them perfect to stack together or add on to a longer workout. I’m looking forward to making my way through those classes this month.
Tuesday, December 7
Run + Glutes & Legs Bootcamp 6/18/19 – Jess (30 minutes)
The Jess King Experience 12/2/21 – Jess K (30 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Groove Ride 12/6/21 – Emma (15 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – Strength (45 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Floor Poses 12/6/21 – Ross (15 minutes)
The OTF class had 7 minutes of straight ab work with the ab dolly aka Satan’s Skateboard. It was hard and my abs will most likely be sore for a few days. That mixed in with inclines on the treadmill made for a spicy workout. The floor poses yoga class was so good! I am bookmarking it to take again because it gave my lower body a really nice stretch.
I’m now on day 7 of my Bootcamp a Day challenge…and it’s definitely living up to the challenge name, lol. It sounded like a great challenge in my head but executing it is a different story, lol.
Wednesday, December 8
AC/DC Run 12/1/21 – Matt (30 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Power Walk 12/6/21 – Kirsten (15 minutes)
Festive Chest & Back Strength 12/6/21 – Marcel M (10 minutes)
Full Body Bike Bootcamp 9/29/20 – Cody (45 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Low Impact Ride 12/6/21 – Denis (15 minutes)
I only know a few AC/DC songs but I really enjoyed Matt’s run. Cody’s bike bootcamp was great and just what I needed to help flush out my legs.
Thursday, December 9
Pop Bootcamp 12/5/19 – Jess (30 minutes)
Holiday Party Ride 12/6/21 – Bradley (20 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Tabata Ride 12/6/21 – Kendall (15 minutes)
Holiday Cool Down Ride 12/7/21 – Leanne (10 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – ESP (45 minutes)
Fit Family HIIT Cardio 12/28/20 – Jess (15 minutes)
Absolutely loved Bradley’s Holiday ride. He has such a fun personality and it really shines through on some of his fun rides. For OTF we spent 9 minutes doing various moves with the TRX straps which was loads of fun (insert sarcasm). Thankfully the rest of the class wasn’t too bad.
Friday, December 10
Holiday Warm Up Run 12/7/21 – Jon (5 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: HIIT Run 12/6/21 – Jon (15 minutes)
Holiday Warm Up Ride 12/7/21 – Leanne (5 minutes)
Full Body Bike Bootcamp 9/22/20 – Jess (45 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – Endurance (45 minutes)
Fit Family Strong HIIT Cardio 7/28/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
Jon’s runs were a blast! He had so much fun and pretty much smiled the whole class. When instructors are like that it just puts me in a good mood too. The OTF class was a killer! Highlights included a 10 minute row and running on inclines. I am convinced that it was a rejected Hell Week template.
Saturday, December 11
Warm Up Walk 8/2/20 – Adrian (10 minutes)
Arms & Shoulders Bootcamp 8/28/19 – Jess (30 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: HIIT Ride 12/6/21 – Bradley (15 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – ESP (45 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Climb Ride 12/6/21 – Ben (15 minutes)
Queen Cool Down Ride 12/8/21 – Sam (10 minutes)
I’m still really enjoying the stacking stuffer classes. They are quick and efficient. We did 11 minutes of various bodyweight exercises for the OTF class. It was a nice change of pace since we rarely do a whole block of bodyweight exercises and it forced me to slow down and really work on my form.
This was my 7th class for #12DaysofFitmas so I earned my beanie!
Sunday, December 12
Stacking Stuffer: Progression Run 12/6/21 – Susie (15 minutes)
Stacking Stuffer: Extra Mile Run 12/6/21 – Jess K (15 minutes)
Holiday Cool Down Run 12/7/21 – Jon (10 minutes)
Queen Warm Up Ride 12/8/21 – Sam (5 minutes)
Bodyweight Bike Bootcamp 10/6/20 – Jess (60 minutes)
Both stacking stuffer runs were great. I can deal with hard efforts for a short amount of time. I really enjoyed the progression run since I haven’t done that type of run in a while. I really had to dig deep for this workout since all I wanted to do was lay around and watch Netflix today, but I was surprised myself by getting a PR in 3 of the classes. I’ll also probably do a short yoga class later on this evening.
Total Weekly Mileage: 20.4
Summary: 14 runs*, 12 cycle, 7 bootcamps, 2 yoga and 8 OTF/strength/HIIT classes.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs.
Peloton Artist Series Classes Progress – 461/467
Earlier in the week I decided to do a major purge on my Instagram account. I probably unfollowed 100+ accounts that either no longer interest me or aren’t really helpful to my current fitness interests. It’s been great because now I can see accounts in my feed that actually interest me. It’s crazy how many accounts have been “hidden” from my newsfeed!
As I mentioned earlier, we finished decorating the house for the holidays earlier in the week. I am especially fond of our two new ornaments this year.
If you’re looking for a fun December challenge to help close out the month, join me and other bloggers for our #12DaysofFitmas! You add new moves each day and it’s a great way to get in movement during the holidays.
…and now for this week’s memes
That’s it! I hope you had a great week š
Iām linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Glad you’re feeling the holiday spirit now! We are struggling to find a place that has any Christmas trees left! Apparently there was a shortage due to the droughts and most of the place near us are sold out! Dustin is out trying a few more places this afternoon. This has never happened before! Maybe its time to get a fake tree?
The December challenge looks tough, I’m going to give it a try! Great idea!
kookyrunner says
Oh no š That’s a bummer about the tree shortage. Hope you are able to find one soon, but if not, a fake tree is good too (that’s all i use because the smell of pine makes me sneeze, lol)
Marcia says
Whew! I’m tired just reading about all of those workouts! Yeah I’m not sure 2022 is going to be anybody’s year yet. I think we’ve all learned our lesson!
kookyrunner says
Haha yup! I think we have all learned our lesson about ‘claiming’ a year, lol.
Jenny says
Ha ha, love your new ornaments! Yes, at least we had toilet paper this year- you can’t argue with that.
Those “stacking stuffer” classes are such a great idea. i haven’t taken any, but maybe I’ll have to do the yoga one, just to join in the fun.
I love that Orange Theory beanie! Congratulations on keeping all your challenges going!
kookyrunner says
LOL, I’m very thankful that there wasn’t a shortage of toilet paper or paper towels this year!
Kimberly Hatting says
Great job on another kick-booty week š Looks like we’ve done some of the same stocking stacker classes. I need to check out Mayla’s AC/DC ride! I have not seen that one in the line-up. I love the Zoom meme…yes, if only!
kookyrunner says
Mayla is a German instructor so you won’t see her classes unless you change the language preferences under your settings.
Deborah Brooks says
wow you really were on fire this week! And you always give me new ideas for classes. Maybe I will try a few power walks this week while I am away. I am going to miss my bike š The Zoom meme lol. Love your funny ornaments!
kookyrunner says
I hope you do some of the power walks in Aruba! It would be a great way to take in the beauty there š
Wendy says
You had a busy week, my friend! Question–when you stack those workouts, do they just flow from one to the next? Or do you have to stop and start the next one?
I am almost done shopping, but I have not tackled wrapping. I’m just not motivated at all!
After the year I’ve had, there’s nowhere to go but up! But, who knows what 2022 will bring. I’m just going to keep moving and hope for the best.
kookyrunner says
The stacked classes don’t start automatically but it’s still nice because i just hit a button and it goes to the next class.
Darlene S Cardillo says
Grateful that I didn’t have to do much shopping.
Those ornaments are perfect.
Congrats on earning your beanie. I love beanies. I just bought another at my race.
One thing I love about weekend is no time on the computer.
kookyrunner says
I was so happy to get the beanie – you can never have too many hats in my opinion.
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
I’m glad you finally got to destress a little, Kim, and found your holiday spirit.
As usual, an awesome week of fitness! I don’t know how you do it!
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much Judy!
Michelle says
OK, 7 mins of the ab dolly sound like it belongs during Hell Week LOL! You had another awesome week of workouts. Congrats on earning your OTF beanie – it’s so cute!
That 2022 meme cracked me up – thanks for the chuckle š
kookyrunner says
It was rough, but I just found out yesterday that OTF is getting rid of the ab dolly at the end of this year – hooray!
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
Great week of workouts as usual, Kim! I love your variety between Peloton and OTF.
Your new toilet paper Christmas tree ornament is great!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Debbie! I really love the toilet paper ornament too lol.
Black Knight says
Glad you earned the beanie, congrats! I have a collection of rugby beanies (in my last post I wear the welsh one).
The toilet paper decoration is too beautiful!!!!
kookyrunner says
Thanks! That ornament is one of my favorites!
Liz Dexter says
I need to take some inspiration from you as I’ve put on weight over being injured and having that terrible cold. Not too bad so I think I can pull it back with some extra steps and starting proper strength training again. I think I’m going to have to get used to having pain in my broken finger if I’m grasping a weight – it feels such a small thing to take to the doctor when they’re so overwhelmed. Love your new ornaments, very funny!
kookyrunner says
So sorry Liz š Nothing is too small for the doctor especially when it comes to your helath!
Liz Dexter says
Well, they’ve told us not to make appointments unless it’s really really serious, as they are rolling out the vaccination booster programme, so it would feel a bit wrong to take an appointment right now …
