Happy Sunday. The longest/shortest month is finally over. February felt super long, probable because of all the snow, but hopefully March will be better.
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, February 22
Peloton Bootcamp Warm up 10/27/20 – Jess (10 minutes)
Peloton Advance Full Body Bootcamp 2/20/21 – Jess (60 minutes)
Peloton BHM: Power Zone Ride 2/9/20 – Matt (30 minutes)
Peloton Focus Flow: Hips 11/30/20 – Denis (10 minutes)
The advanced #Saturday60 class was a tough way to start off the week but I was glad I got it done. I didn’t realize how tight my hips were until I did the yoga class – holy cow! There was a lot of cursing during this class even though it was only 10 minutes, lol.
Tuesday, February 23
Orangetheory Fitness – Power (45 minutes)
Peloton Year of Yes Run 1/24/21 – Adrian (20 minutes)
Peloton Yoga Flow 5/3/19 – Aditi (30 minutes)
Another great OTF class, full of 1 minute all out runs on the treadmill and all out rows on the rower. A quick note to myself: Don’t do a quick run right before leaving for OTF class because your legs will not enjoy it, lol.
Wednesday, February 24
Orangetheory Fitness – Orange Inferno (45 minutes)
Peloton BHM: Celebration Ride 2/22/20 – Olivia (30 minutes)
Peloton Cool Down Ride 8/31/20 – Cody (5 minutes)
Peloton Focus Flow: Hamstrings 12/19/20 – Chelsea (10 minutes)
The OTF class was spicy! The Inferno is another one of their signature workouts and it heavily focuses on a run/row sequence. Basically you run a tenth of a mile and then hit the rower for increasing meters (ex: 0.10 run, 100 meter row, 0.10 run, 200 meter row, 0.10 run 300 meter row, etc). At first it wasn’t too awful but by the time I hit the 600 meter row I was exhausted. I’m not sure if my final number was a “good” amount of meters, but I was happy with the outcome! I also really enjoyed the yoga class that focused on hamstrings. My left hamstring has been feeling a little wonky this week so the stretch seemed to help.
Friday, February 26
Orangetheory Fitness – Strength (45 minutes)
Peloton Walk + Run 11/12/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
Peloton LHM Celebration Bootcamp 10/10/20 – Chase (30 minutes)
The OTF class focused on inclines on the treadmill and working with mini bands on the floor. It was also neon day at OTF and lots of people in my class dressed up for the spirit day – it was fun!
Saturday, February 27
Peloton Pride Ride 6/13/20 – Erik (20 minutes)
Peloton Bad Boy Entertainment Bootcamp 2/27/21 – Jess (60 minutes)
Peloton Post-Run Stretch 5/22/19 – Jess (10 minutes)
Peloton Pride Yoga Flow 6/4/19 – Aditi (30 minutes)
Kicked off the morning with a lovely virtual ride with a few bloggers. I love when I can join these rides because they are so much fun. After that, I did the Bad Boy Entertainment Treadmill Bootcamp. It was my 100th bootcamp and it was just SO much fun! I love whenever I can sing along to every song, and also throw in a few dance moves as well π
Sunday, February 28
Peloton Pre-Run Warm Up 7/3/19 – Jess (5 minutes)
Peloton BHM Celebration Run 2/14/20 – Matty (30 minutes)
Peloton Bad Boy Entertainment Full Body Strength 2/27/21 – Adrian (20 minutes)
Peloton Fit Family Live Cardio 11/26/20 – Jess (30 minutes)
I loved the BHM Celebration Run. Matty is really great at sharing interesting facts during his runs. The strength class was so much fun and it went by so fast. It’s a class that I’ll definitely take again. The cardio class was a nice change of pace for me. I may try to incorporate more of those classes into my workout schedule.
Total Weekly Mileage: 17.7 miles
Summary: 7 runs*, 3 bootcamps, 5 cycle, 4 yoga and 5 OTF/strength classes.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs.
Peloton Artist Series Classes Progress – 223/225
Grade This Week β A
I hit a few Peloton milestones this week – 250 strength classes, 450 rides and 100 bootcamps! I think I’m most excited/proud of the bootcamp milestone because it took a whole bunch of sweat (most of the bootcamp classes were 60 minutes) and curse words to get there! I plan on hitting the 150 bootcamp milestone sometime this year.
Connecticut released their timeline for the Covid-19 vaccines based on age groups. While I’m happy to see April for my age group, I don’t know if this will actually be possible. I do wonder if they are being just a little too ambitious with that date but I’ll just wait and see.
…and now for this week’s memes π
That’s it! I hope you had a great week π
Iβm linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Thats’ great that your state released timelines! I have no idea what’s happening here. They opened groups 1a-1c really quickly and now there are just tons of people fighting for appointments. April isn’t too far off so that’s good news for you! I felt like February went by pretty quickly even though it was a rough month with terrible weather.
kookyrunner says
That’s a shame. I’ve heard that the rollout in Maryland is a little crazy right now but I really hope that they can get things on track soon.
Beckett @ Birchwood Pie says
Ooh that’s exciting that your age is on the vaccination list! My state is keeping things to over 65+ and frontline workers for a bit longer. I know that it can’t be too much longer. My goodness February was LONG but we’re almost at the finish line.
kookyrunner says
February was just crazy long. I’m happy to roll into March!
Deborah Brooks says
Our vaccine roll out is improving a lot the last few weeks. Fingers crossed it can keep up that way. Always impressed with the variety of your workouts and how you balance everything with OTF as well. Congrats on your milestones this week too. I didn’t even realize I hit a strength milestone until afterward-oh well! Denis’ hip yoga classes pack a lot into 10 minutes I really like them as well. LOL on the last meme that happens everyday now!
kookyrunner says
So glad to hear that the rollout there is improving. I hope other states that are struggling can use next month to really get things on track. Isn’t it great when you see an unexpected milestone? That has happened to me a few times lol.
Wendy says
Wow, Connecticut has got it going on with regards to the vaccine! Illinois is abysmal. My parents and my FIL are just getting #2 next week. Hopefully, now that the J&J vaccine was approved, things will move along.
Those memes…someone had their dog on their lap during a Friday Zoom meeting, lol. And yes to feeling like everyone is suddenly way younger than me. When and why did that happen?
kookyrunner says
Getting an appointment was a crazy process but once you have the appointment, it seems to be smooth sailing from there. I know there are backups in a lot of states. Hopefully they can use March to really get things on track and expedite the rollout.
I love love love seeing dogs on meetings. I feel like it brings down the stress level a lot.
Coco says
Wow on all those Peloton milestones. I know that bootcamp one is hard-earned! Congrats on the OTF inferno workout too. That format sounds tough, but at least you earn splat points. π
It was great seeing you!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Coco! Yes, that bootcamp one will feels like a gold medal lol. The Inferno workout was crazy, but in a good way.
Kimberly Hatting says
Congrats on all those Peloton milestones!!! And, that Orange Inferno looks deadly…Yikes, were your abs/core on fire for days afterwards? That’s a decent time table for the vaccine…just in time for your birthday!
kookyrunner says
Thanks #kimtwin! The Inferno workout was torture, but in a good way.
Yes, the vaccine will be a nice belated birthday gift π
Jenny says
Wow- you had an energetic week!!! I’m impressed that your state has that vaccine schedule! Here in Florida the plan is basically to wait for a lucky break, and maybe you can get one. Someday… we’ll all get it.
kookyrunner says
Connecticut has been pretty good about getting the vaccines to people. Their sign up process isn’t that great but once you get the appointment, it’s much better.
Darlene S Cardillo says
Ha Ha on the cat meme.
Wow an active week and congrats on your Peleton milestones.
April is great for a vaccine. I hope it really happens.
kookyrunner says
Thanks! It was a pleasant surprise to get a few milestones this month.
Michelle @ Running with Attitude says
That’s great that Connecticut is moving along so quickly with the vaccine – MA is moving at a glacier pace so I’m not expecting much until closer to June… sigh
Congrats on all of your Peloton milestones! You have really been crushing your workouts!
kookyrunner says
Ugh! I hate to hear that so many states are behind with the vaccine rollout. hopefully they can all get heir act together this month and start to expedite the process.
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
Congrats on meeting three Peloton milestones last week. That’s impressive! LOL on the quick run before your OT class. I’ve made similar mistakes and paid the same price.
I think I’m going to move to CT because their schedule seems to make sense and follow along with the disease being more dangerous the older you get. As far as I know, VA still plans to open vaccinations to everyone 16 – 64 (who hasn’t met prior criteria for earlier vaccinations) at the same time. So at 63, I’ll be fighting for an appointment time with teenagers because VA thinks we face the same risk if we get the virus. Oops, sorry to vent on your post! π
It was great to see you yesterday during our Zoom ride!
kookyrunner says
It was just a 20 minute run so I thought it would be a good warm up, I was wrong, lol. Live and learn!
Yeah I’m not sure why VA is doing it that way – it just seems like it will no doubt clog up the appointment system. Maybe they think it is a faster way to get everyone vaccinated? I’m not sure but I hope that you’re able to secure an appointment in a timely manner.
Marcia says
Way to wrap up the month with three milestones! That is awesome! My inlaws are now fully vaccinated. I am not holding my breath for my turn to come around. It’ll be aloong time I think. Omg the memes. So funny as usual. I just saw Brooke Shields doing an ad on TV. She’s 55. How’d that happen?? π
kookyrunner says
Thanks Marcia – it was a fun week! So glad to hear that your inlaws are fully vaccinated. Hopefully states can use March to really get on track so that the vaccine rollout can be expedited throughout the Spring and into the summer.
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
100 bootcamps is very impressive! Not that the other milestones aren’t, as well.
April would be great! I haven’t heard anything about new AGs here yet. It would nice not to be the only person unvaccinated in my circle.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Judy! i was definitely most excited about the bootcamp milestone, lol. I hope that NY releases more information their vaccine schedule soon.
Zenaida Arroyo says
Congrats on those Peloton milestones! I wish I had your dedication but for now am happy with my bike and running classes. I will start Matty’s core challenge today so we’ll see how that goes. I just started taking a Cool Down Ride after each ride and am liking it. I know Deborah wrote a post about stacking classes and I need to revisit it so I am not looking for one at the end.
kookyrunner says
I’ve heard nothing but great feedback about Matty’s core program so I hope that you like it!
Cari says
I am that potato this morning. Literally a Slack message at 9:02 and 9:07.
If the Matty one you liked is the Motown one, me too! Way to go on all the milestones this week. I love referring back to your posts when I’m deciding on a class.
kookyrunner says
Ugh – that’s the worst! I usually need a good 15-30 minutes to read and reply to emails that came in overnight before I get ‘started’ with my day so getting messages that early is so annoying! I have loved every Matty running class that I’ve taken so far – he’s such a great storyteller!
Cari says
Seriously. Who doesn’t need coffee time even if it’s just brain coffee?
Jenn says
Honestly, if more people shared their pets on Zoom, I would be such a willing participant. Seriously.
Look at those stacks! Amazing workouts all around! And look at your milestones! You are crushing it!
I hope April is it for you. I have no idea when Florida is going to open up for the rest of us. We are a much bigger state, with a larger population of elderly, so I may be way way down the list, regardless. Trying to be patient, but super happy for everyone who is able to get it.
kookyrunner says
Right?! Seeing a pet or child on Zoom makes the meeting SO much better in my opinion. It really adds a human element.
I guess this is the one time that it’s a positive that CT is a smaller state. I really hope they are able to keep to their proposed schedule, but if not that’s okay. I’m just glad that they finally opened up the schedule today so that teachers can get the vaccine. I feel like they should have had access earlier.
Jessie says
Wow – CT is way ahead of Minnesota. April! Amazing.
You are the queen of Peloton! Incredible week.
I saw that Zoom about cats and totally agree π
kookyrunner says
Thanks Jessie! It was a good week with Peloton π
Well that’s what they have down on paper for the vaccine rollout – let’s see if they can actually deliver! (fingers crossed)
RenΓ©e @runlaugheatpie says
your peloton and otf workouts ALWAYS impress me! congrats on those milestones! glad your age is on the list for the vaccine now too. Here it’s just so vague… some very hopeful glass half full people would tell you that we’ll start to get the vaccine… I’m thinking it’s more likely to be September. If it’s earlier, bonus right? π
I’m so old now I constantly feel like I have “get off my lawn” tattooed on my forehead by now.
Don’t all zoom meetings include a cat? Asking for a friend π
kookyrunner says
I wish ALL Zoom meetings included pets. It would make the meetings way more bearable lol.
