Happy Sunday!! Did you have a great Thanksgiving? I hope that you were able to enjoy a great meal and time with family and friends. I guess we can now start the official countdown to Christmas? I’m sure the next few weeks will be a flurry of holiday parties, dinners, baking sweets, buying presents, wrapping gifts, etc. Now more than ever I’m happy to check in for the Weekly Wrap to help keep myself accountable for the next month, even when things get crazy busy!
Monday 11/20
Kickboxing – 45 minutes.
My second time going to this class and it was just as hard as the first time!
Tuesday 11/21
4 mile run.
My legs were tired so I had to throw on my Pro Compression socks to help me get through the run!
Wednesday 11/22
Unexpected rest day. After work, I got caught up doing errands and before I knew it, it was after 9pm so no workout.
Thursday 11/23
The Great Turkey Escape 5K
This was a super hilly 5K, but it was a lot of fun! I dressed up in my turkey costume and I was even featured in this newspaper article!
Friday 11/24
Rest Day. While my body didn’t get a workout, my credit card sure did, lol. I do a majority of my holiday shopping on Black Friday and Cyber Monday
Saturday 11/25
6 mile run.
I wanted to aim for 7 but my knee just wasn’t cooperating and I had some GI issues in the last mile.
Sunday 11/26
Spinning class – 65 minutes / 25 miles.
So happy that I can go to this class regularly again. I love that it’s low impact on my legs but still a great cardio workout. The music in today’s class was amazing!
Total Weekly Mileage: 13 miles
Less miles than I would have liked, but I’m happy I was able to get in a semi-long run yesterday. I’ll probably start going back to ART once a week. I’m hoping that will help the issues I’m currently experiencing with my knee. I also noticed some IT band pain on my run yesterday so I’m going to nip that in the bud before it gets any worse – I have no time to deal with that annoying injury again!
I also received some new Pro Compression socks in the mail. I’m super excited about the grey wool socks to keep my feet nice and warm when I do long runs in the winter!
If you’re in the market for some new socks, they are running a sale – 2 pairs of marathon socks for $40 with code BFCM (ends 11/27). Also, have you applied to be an ambassador yet? If you’re interested, make sure you apply by the deadline (tomorrow – 11/27)!
This week it will be difficult to get in my workouts because I’ll be in NYC from Monday-Thursday (staying overnight). My team gets to meet in person about once every 2 years. It’s a big deal because we are really spread out (London, India, Philippines and the US). Virtual meeting are fine, but there’s just something way better about meeting up in person! We have meetings all day and then team dinners at night. Thankfully the hotel has a small gym, so I hope I can at least get in a 30 minute workout or run on those days. I so wish I would have time to go to Central Park for a run!
Iām linking up with Holly and Tricia for their Weekly Wrap.

You did have the best Thanksgiving outfit! I just love your mom! She needs her own iIG or blog or something. She totally rocks. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
kookyrunner says
I keep telling her that! I told her to just blog once a week – maybe I can talk her into it in the new year.
Abby @BackatSquareZero says
I saw your famous turkey trot picture. Looks like an amazing time and awesome that your mom placed.

It was probably my favorite race of the year š

Good luck with the workouts this week! It’s always hard with conferences. And just how do you run in that turkey costume anyway?
Congrats to your mom!
I didn’t buy anything. Seriously. I waited too long for both the things I really wanted; the price went up on one & the other sold out. Wasn’t meant to be.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Judy! I might have to wake up super early a few days just to get in some activity, but I packed my workout clothes and running sneakers so I’m determined to find time, even if it’s just 30 minutes!
Megan @ Meg Go Run says
You are hooked up with compression socks!
kookyrunner says
Oh yeah, you might say I have a slight obsession with them, lol

Work travel is never as fun as you’d hope…meetings all day and team dinners and no time to work out š Good luck fitting it all in!

OMG your costume!!! That’s amazing! Was it hard to run in?
kookyrunner says
It actually wasn’t that hard to run in surprisingly!
Coco says
Ooh, will you be in NYC? I hope you get a chance to sneak out to 5th Ave and see the store windows – I got to see them last year and they were so fun! I am never ready to do shopping on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. My son hasn’t even started a wish list yet.
kookyrunner says
I will be – right near Times Square! I’m actually only a 45-60 minute train ride from NYC so technically I could come back home every day but because the dinners will run late and we start each day super early, a hotel just made more sense.
Sara says

kookyrunner says
Thanks so much Sara!

Montana @ Pretty Lil Mudder says
I love meeting virtual runner friends in person! I’m a part of this amazing FB group called the Sub 30 Club (if you haven’t checked them out, you should!) and it’s so inspiring and encouraging to talk to them online. We had a huge group come down to Florida (most are concentrated in the NE part of the country) for Gasparilla running festival and it was AH-MAZ-ING! I loved every minute of that crazy weekend!!
kookyrunner says
I’ve heard so many things about the sub 30 group! Ugh – I havent had a sub 30 5K in about a year and half. Maybe I should join that group to get some motivation!
Jenn says
That turkey costume is EVERYTHING!!!!
Sorry that this week will be challenging for workouts, but you always seem to get things accomplished, so I’m sure it will all work out! Keep it up and take care of that knee.

Congrats to your mom on her AG place!

Thanks so much Debbie! I love that your group often dresses up for the turkey trots – it’s so much fun!

kookyrunner says
Thanks Tricia!I feel like you have to have fun with running when you can, and what better time than a turkey trot!
Sandra D Laflamme says
How cute are you in your turkey costume! And that swag! We just ran easy on turkey day and then enjoyed all of the good food!
kookyrunner says
LOL thanks so much!
