Happy Sunday! Just one more week until Christmas and just 2 weeks until 2018 – say what?!
This week went by very quickly. So much so that I almost forgot about doing my weekly wrap blog post. Of course I couldn’t let that happen because I love the Weekly Wrap and connecting with so many awesome ladies each week š Here’s how my workouts went this week!
Monday 12/11
Strength Training – 30 mins
2 mile run
I was prepared for kickboxing class but when I got to the gym I found out it was cancelled – boo š Since I was already at the gym I decided to get in a workout.
Tuesday 12/12
4 Mile run. This run felt pretty good and minimum knee pain.
Wednesday 12/13
Boot Camp (60 minutes)
This was the best boot camp class I’ve had in a while. I felt like we did a great mix of everything and the circuits were actually fun (hard, but still fun).
Thursday 12/14
My commute to work was a lot of fun…We got snow a few times this week but luckily it wasn’t awful and there was no ice so that was good.
No workout. I volunteered for a few hours after after work so I didn’t get home until after 8pm. It was totally worth it though.
Friday 12/15
No workout. A legit CRAZY day at work and I wasn’t feeling well most of the day. I think I had a little inflammation in my lower stomach (on the left side) which was making moving/walking difficult. I took two Motrin later on that night and felt better. It was weird though.
Saturday 12/16
8 mile run.
I did 4 miles outside and then 4 miles on my treadmill. When I was running outside I kept hitting a crazy headwind which was making the run less than enjoyable. After 4 miles I called it and decided to finish on the treadmill.

Braving 26 degrees is better with run-friends! š
Later that afternoon/evening, we hosted a small get-together for our running buddies. It was a lot of fun!

Party outfit – was it too much?! LOL
Sunday 12/17
Body works + abs class – 45 minutes
3 mile run
I opted for weights over spinning today, but followed it up with 3 recovery miles at a nice and easy pace. Both workouts felt pretty good!
Total Weekly Mileage: 17 miles
This was my first full week with my Fitbit and I’m still loving it š I joined a workweek and weekend challenge and it really gives me motivation to get off my butt and get in some extra steps. This week I hit a minimum of 10,000 steps every day – the first time ever! I also love the badges that they give out – super cute!
On Friday, I received my ornament from the #WeRunSocial Ornament Exchange. This is the second year for the exchange and I really hope it continues because it’s just so much fun!
…and a few hours ago I received word that I’m part of the 2018 ProCompression Ambassador team. I love this crew, I love the product and I love that I get to come back for another year!
All in all, a busy week but I’m happy with my workouts and that I was able to balance everything pretty well! Next week I’ll be announcing my spring marathon – it’s between three choices. Any guesses? I hope that you all had a great week!
How was your week? Have you attended any holiday parties? Are you done holiday shopping?
Iām linking up with Holly and Tricia for their Weekly Wrap.

5 Last Minute Gift Ideas for Runners
Great job this week! I also cant believe the holidays are approaching so quickly. I’m pretty much done with holiday shopping but have a few things to mail out. Congrats on the ambassadorship!
It’s just unreal to me, but I guess it makes sense. We’re all so busy so of course the days are just flying by!
You had a solid week! Good job š Congrats on Pro Compression. I got the “Sorry, Charlie” letter (again). Oh well. They did give me a discount code š
Thanks Kim! Sorry that you didn’t make the team this year š but I’m glad that you got a discount code š
So weird that everyone else seems to have had more snow than us! I’m not complaining, mind you..it’s just weird. I feel you on the cold wind tho.
It’s crunch time–hope you find time to workout in the midst of all the holiday craziness!
It definitely takes some planning but I’ve been doing okay with getting in my workouts in the midst of all the craziness!
I feel like more snow will be coming to Chicago soon, lol
I do love the running dreidels and the holiday outfit! Super cute š Have a great week
Thanks! I like to be as festive as possible this time of year, lol
Great job this week! I can’t believe Christmas is next week! I don’t feel like I’m ready for it yet. We have all of our gifts purchased, we just need to write out cards and wrap everything. I’m excited to take a little break over the holidays. And congrats on the ambassadorship! How exciting!!
Same here. I think I’m more freaked out that 2018 is so close!
I’m Jewish & Hannukah is just about over. š Love your party outfit! And can’t wait to hear which marathon you picked.
I hope that you had a great Hanukkah Judy!
Well, that outfit is a lot for sure. Only you can decide if it was too much. š You got some serious snow this week. Luckily we didn’t get enough to impede driving for long. Congrats on all the ambassadorships!
LOL thanks Coco – it was definitely Christmas on steroids!
I love your Christmas attire! It can never be too much. LOL. My first Fitbit (and those challenges!) really motivated me. I’d get to work early and walk around the streets near my office until time for the workday to begin. Then I’d walk after supper in my neighborhood. After my second one died, I just didn’t get back into it. Maybe I should! Thanks for linking!
Somehow I knew you would love my Christmas outfit – LOL!
Yes I’m done with shopping, and yes I’ve been to parties. I’ve been to two, and there’s another one in my parents’ neighborhood next weekend. I’ve been good leading up to the parties so I can indulge and have fun.
Same here. That was my third holiday party and now I’m done for the season, lol
Great idea to split up your run between indoor and outdoor to get in all your miles. Great job!
Thanks Amy! It just made sense to do it that way rather than suffer through 4 more miles outside with the wind!
Congrats Kim on your ambassadorship!! Good job on finishing up your LR on the treadmill. Takes a lot of determination!
Thanks so much Madhuri. The treadmill and I get along very well – its quite weird lol
Wow you’re cold and snowy and we turned really mild here. It’s supposed to be in the 40’s until I leave for Florida. I’ll take it! Very cute ornament and congrats on the Pro Compression gig!
Surprisingly it’s supposed to be 60 degrees and rainy here on Saturday – this weather is crazy!
Congrats on being selected as a pro compression ambassador! That is so exciting I love their socks. Great job getting in so many different types of workouts this week. I am pretty bad about switching it up and have been sticking to running these days but I definitely need to get out of my comfort zone and do some strength training or cross training.
Thanks so much Melissa! I have been blessed to be on the ambassador team for a few years and I love the company and the crew!
I try to have variety in my workouts as it keeps me from getting bored!
I love the cactus ornament!!!
It’s so awesome right? And I’ve never been to Arizona so it’s perfect!
This year has just flown by! I guess they all do anymore (now that I’m getting older lol), but this seemed faster than ever.
Congratulations on the Pro Compression Ambassadorship! I guess I’m a teammate. I didn’t get the letter, and was feeling kind of sad, but then received an email from Brian this morning saying that I made it. So woohoo!!!!
That’s awesome! So happy to have you on the team this year š I know a few other people that didnt receive the “congratulations” email so something must have been up with the server last night!
That party outfit is glorious. You and your friends know how to party right!
Thanks Catherine! I thought it was over the top but also wonderful, haha
Great week! I love your party outfit!
Thank you!
I’m impressed you guys got out there in the show and cold! I’m sure that was more fun with friends š And I love that holiday outfit!
i’m trying to get my body used to the weather since it looks like we’re going to have a long winter, lol
Congrats on the ProCompression ambassador program and great week of workouts! I volunteered last week at my daughter’s school for their Christmas shopping party, it was a blast!
Thanks so much Anna! I’m thrilled to be back with them for another year.
I love volunteering around this time of year!
Congrats on Pro Compression! They are awesome socks and they’re lucky to have you as an ambassador!
Awwe thanks so much Mer!
Looks like a good week! I’m glad that our snow in Chicago wasn’t quite as much, ha! Your sweater is really cute! Reminds me of an old school video game.
Thanks Becca – I had the same thought when I first saw the sweater! š
Congratulations on your Pro Compression ambassadorship. Fun to work with brands we like. I am applauding your 4 mile run in the wind… I am such a weather wimp and really hate running when it is windy!
Definitely true! I’ve been an ambassador for the company for a few years and I deeply love their products and the crew.
Great job fitting it all in this week! Congrats on the PC ambassadorship!
Thanks so much Vicki!
Gah! I want your snow! It’s been so warm here in Colorado, but it’s supposed to get cold this weekend. Four miles outside is pretty dedicated! Good for you. š
Wow, warm in Colorado?! I’m sure you’ll get snow soon when it’s officially winter – I can’t believe that it’s still officially Fall, haha
OK, that holiday-themed outfit is a statement for sure š You did a great job fitting in all of your workouts despite the busy schedule – how in the world is Christmas just a week away!?! Congrats on returning as a PC Ambassador!
LOL thanks Michelle – it was go big or go home when it came to the holiday outfit š
Awesome! I am incredibly jealous of all your snow and hope that we get treated to similar views on vacation in a few weeks. Fingers crossed!
Congrats on Pro Compression! They have such great socks and sleeves!
Hope you are able to get a little rest after a crazy week!
I hope you get some snow on your vacation! Plus snow on Christmas is always so beautiful š
things are pretty mellow this week – thank goodness!
Sounds like such an amazing week! Yay for FitBit workouts AND ProCompression!
Thanks so much Rachel!
Great job with your workouts! Running in the cold is definitely better with friends. This has been such a weird season when it comes to weather!
I can’t wait to hear what marathon you’re doing, I finally (quietly) announced mine! š
I saw your announcement today – congrats on picking a Spring marathon! It took me weeks to pick mine, lol. I was weighing all the pros and cons.
Okay, I’m SO jealous of your snow!! I’m in Arkansas and we don’t get much snow AT ALL!! It looks so pretty!!! Great job on a super awesome workout week girl!! AND congrats on the Pro Compression Ambassador program again!!! LOVE those socks too!!
I actually don’t mind snow – it’s the ice that always scares me! Hopefully Arkansas will get a little snow soon.
Thanks so much for the congrats on Pro Compression – I’m excited to be on the ambassador team again!
Love your holiday party outfit! Congrats on being a procompression ambassador again!
Thanks so much Nicole!
I think your party outfit was spot on!! Congratulations on the ProCompression Ambassadorship ..they really have some cute socks š
Your ‘morning commute’ photo cracks me up though …why? Because, if the roads down here ever look like that, we shut completely down! I laughed at myself when I saw your pic because I thought… ‘oh my gosh, she drove in that??” Lol
Thanks! I know my party outfit was over the top and that’s exactly why I loved it!
LOL I thought about that when I posted the photo! I know some areas down South would completely shut down but here in New England it’s like “okay that’s cute, see you later” hahaha
