Happy Sunday! As the title of this post suggests, it was quite a week. For some reason I was super tired this week. Every day it took all my energy to get through work and get in a workout, and I was yawning constantly! I’m not sick so I’m not sure why I felt so rundown this week, but I hope that this upcoming week is better!
My workouts were a little skewed this week since I was ‘snoozing through the week’ but I was happy that I still got in activity for a majority of the week!
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, February 4
3 mile run + Arms and Abs with the ActivMotion Bar (20 mins).
I really need to use my ActivMotion Bar more often. It’s kind of hidden in my basement so sometimes I forget about it, but it gave me a great strength workout!
Tuesday, February 5
Spinning (45 minutes).
Loved this 90s Pop Ride and it was my last workout to complete the Peloton Winter Launch Challenge!
Wednesday, February 6
Boot Camp (60 minutes)
Loved this week’s workout. The instructor threw in some new arm and leg moves which I appreciated!
Thursday, February 7
5 mile run + corework.
I had to get this run in before work and I am not kidding when I say the struggle was real. I felt like I was half asleep for most of the workout, but I was determined to get it done!
Friday, February 8
Thank goodness this was a rest day. As soon as I got home from I made a cup of tea to start my relaxation for the night.
Saturday, February 9
Unplanned Rest Day.
I had every intention to wake up early for my run but the real feel was 2 degrees with 36mph winds, so I decided I would sleep in a little and run on the treadmill. That never happened either since my stomach and back were killing me. Even after almost 9 hours of sleep, I was still tired. I just decided to make it another rest day, but I did get in an hour long walk to get in some activity.
Sunday, February 10
Spinning (60 mins) + 3 mile run.
I still felt tired this morning but decided to do a double workout (to make up for yesterday). I took two Peloton spinning class. The Black History Month ride was awesome because it provided a nice journey of Black music through the decades (50s – current). I earned the Black History Month badge for taking that class. After the classes I got in a 3 mile run.
Total Weekly Mileage: 11 miles
Summary: 3 runs, 3 spinning classes, 1 core class, 2 strength workouts
Grade This Week – B+
This week was a struggle so I’m glad it’s over! I really felt like a zombie for most of the week – not a fun feeling 🙁 I’ve been thinking about what I can do differently to get more energy. I haven’t been consistent with taking my vitamins and other supplements (maybe a few times a week). I’m going to make a point to take these daily. I’m also going to make sure I’m drinking enough eater throughout the day because I may have been dehydrated too.
This week I like combining other things with my runs (strength training, corework and spinning) and I think I’ll do that more often. Also it’s a great way for me to get in more strength training throughout the week.
In fun news, I received this awesome package from BibRave this week. I can’t wait to get in a few runs with the sweatshirt and the super warm hat! I have really enjoyed interacting with the network of BibRave Pros and learning more about different races throughout the country.
FYI – Be sure to check out my BibRave Race Discounts page for race discounts! 🙂
That’s it for this week!
Did you have a good week? How do you deal with fatigue?
