It’s Good Friday! I’m linking up for Friday Five 2.0 with Rachel from Running on Happy and Lacey and Meranda from Fairytales and Fitness.
Since Easter is right around the corner (literally), I thought it might be fun to write about 5 items that would be great in any runner’s Easter Basket! When I was in college and graduate school, my mom would send me ‘adult themed’ Easter baskets filled with goodies all college kids need. I always thought this was so cool 🙂 Recalling this memory made me think – What would runners want in an Easter Basket? Check out my picks below!
I always run with a hat or visor, and I know many other runners that do as well. It’s now Spring and Summer isn’t too far away. Why not gift your runner with a Headsweats visor?
I actually just purchased a few of their visors for summer running. Their visors have Coolmax® moisture-wicking technology to help keep the sweat from your eyes AND keep you cool. Plus they come in cool colors and patterns!
Pro Compression Socks
Who wouldn’t want to find these socks in their basket?
With all the colors and patterns, you really can’t go wrong! Use code PRO17 to save 40% off your purchase!
I love my SpiBelt because you can fit a lot of things in it (see photo below), and it rarely bounces when I run!
The SpiBelt comes in over 25 different colors. It expands enough to fit the iPhone 6s. On Sunday I was able to fit my driver’s license, iPhone, chapstick and arm sleeves in my SpiBelt, and ran a 10k with no bounce. This would make a great addition to any Easter basket!
Sunscreen and Wipes
Runners need to protect their skin from the sun. Why not include a few travel size bottles of sunscreen that a runner can keep in their gym bag, purse or car? This way, the runner in your life will always have easy access to sunscreen.
Wireless Headphones
Plantronics are my preferred brand of cordless headphones, but I think a runner would love any set of cordless headphones! They are so convenient and it’s nice to run or workout without having cords in your way.
Bonus item – ShowerPill wipes! These wipes are individually wrapped and would perfect to throw into a basket. Runners can use these wipes to freshen up after a run or race!
What would you include in an Easter Basket for runners?
I hope everyone has an awesome weekend!! 🙂
Nicole says
I would include some Swedish fish…delish and good running fuel!
kookyrunner says
I’ve heard of a few runners that use sweedish fish – I need to try that!
Christy @ My Dirt Road Anthem says
Humagels and Tailwind! Nuun, Bodyglide and sunscreen! More compression socks are always good and I do love the one visor I have for running so I may have to check out Headsweats and get me some pretty ones!
kookyrunner says
Love all the items you named as well. I really want to try Tailwind!
Lisa @ Mile by Mile says
What a great idea! I would love any of these items in my easter basket, especially the headphones! And I would never turn down a new pair of compression socks.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Lisa! I wanted to do something kind of different for today’s blog post so I’m glad that you liked it!
Mary Beth Jackson says

kookyrunner says
Very smart! I usually carry chapstick, especially in the winter.
Marcia says
So much fun! I’d love a runner’s Easter Basket about now. I’d have to include some Sport Beans just because they’d be so cute. Even though I don’t really use them. Haha!
Headsweats visors are the bomb!
kookyrunner says
Sport Beans would be an awesome edition to the gift basket!
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
NOW you reminded me of one thing that I meant to add to my Amazon order this morning: the wipes! Damn, I used my last one last week. 🙁
kookyrunner says
Oh no 🙁 Hopefully you have Amazon Prime and can place an order today!

What a great idea! Two of my kids are out of college and I STILL make Easter baskets for all of them (and all of their girlfriends)! All of your ideas a great. I’d include some ChapStick, small packs of Kleenex, a few protein bars, and maybe some small packets of almonds. Fun post!
kookyrunner says
I think that’s awesome that you still make Easter baskets for them!
Meranda@Fairytalesandfitness says
I made an Easter basket for my sister and put in things that I could fit inside those plastic eggs like fuel (and of course candy)!
kookyrunner says
That’s suck a great idea!
Deborah @ Confessions of a mother runner says
I could actually use a new SPI belt mine got all stretched out thanks for the idea
kookyrunner says
No problem – happy to help!
Ivanna says
Cool idea! We never really think to get baskets for friends. I’ll have to try this next year maybe.

A runner’s Easter basket…what a great idea! I would love to get some fun patterned socks! I haven’t been big on visors but I’ve been thinking about switching it up. Headsweats is a great brand!
kookyrunner says
I wasn’t big on visors until I started running. I usually only wear them in the summer.
Montana @ Pretty Lil Mudder says
All of those things I would love to find in my Easter basket! I need to get some more Shower Pill wipes- I love them and they are great when you don’t have time to shower between working out and heading somewhere else.
kookyrunner says
The ShowerPill wipes are great, especially during the summer!
Abby @BackatSquareZero says
I would love this. With trying to be healthy I would prefer non-food stuff in my basket, and even better running stuff is stuff I’d actually use. So smart!
kookyrunner says
Right?! Although I did treat myself to a Reeses peanut butter egg yesterday, lol 🙂
Annmarie says
I know that Easter was yesterday but I’d gladly take any one of these as a gift no matter what day it is 😉
kookyrunner says
LOL! Definitely agree with you because I would want those gifts any day of the week 🙂
